Yes, I have been fortunate to have met Keanu a few times, and, yes, they have been the most wonderful and exciting moments of my life. In the flesh Keanu is even more breathtaking, gracious, quite formal, and the times that I have met him he has not initiated conversation. He has waited for me to speak first. Which, I felt, made the encounters more difficult for me. I was forced not only to have the courage to go up to my hero, but also to think of the most interesting, excellent, and inspirational thing that I have ever said. Of course, I was still trying to comprehend that I was standing in front of him and he's waiting for me to speak, my heart racing, my head spinning, my body sweating, the epinephrine and endorphins flowing, so all I could say was "Hi Keanu, I met you in Philadelphia two years ago". Oh, God! What is he going to say?! He looks my way and says "How's it going?". Did he just say "How's it going?". I lost it then and like an idiot and wanting to let my feelings known I said "Keanu, can I give you a hug and a kiss?". "Sure", he said and I gave him a big hug and peck on the cheek, and I think I whispered something like "You're my favorite person" or something like that. Then I had to absorb it all as he bolted away (and Keanu can bolt!!).

I had met Keanu two years earlier in a hotel lobby where Dogstar was staying. It was in the morning and Keanu had just woken up and walked off the elevator, appearing to have quite a bad cold. Even though he was not feeling well, he signed autographs and posed for photos with the few people that were in the lobby. I gave him roses and a note that I had written him, which he gently placed on top of his suitcase. I posed for a picture with him with another fan, and as we had our arms wrapped around our waists, I said "This is so cool of you to do this", and he just smiled and wrapped his arm tighter around me.

I was expecting him to leave after the photo session, but he sat in a chair in the middle of the beautiful lobby next to Rob and they started talking. The couch across from Keanu was empty. I was debating what I should do. What do you think I did? Well, I sat down on the couch, and just looked at Keanu in shock and amazement. He looked at me but said nothing. "You have to say something!" I told myself. Why I did this I still have no clue, but I took peppermint lifesavers out of my bag and offered him one. He smiled and politely refused, saying something like he needed something more than a lifesaver, referring to his cold. Then he got up and started getting his stuff ready to leave. I wished him goodbye and good luck and that I hoped that he felt better. Then I quickly left the lobby out the side door, with a memory I will never forget.
