Donald's Disney Directory

Disneyland can be a place of wonder, delight, and excitment. Or it can just be a big headache if you don't know where you're going.
This calls for a plan.
First things first:
KNOW YOUR SURROUNDINGS
This would be a good time to take a look at your map (it's that piece of paper that you've been using as a fan).
Now that you have your map out, you may want to orient yourself and figure out where you want to go first. This calls for some strategy.
You may want to take notes.

What are the most popular rides?
Since the map is full of handy lil labels in the legend, Donald says it would be a good idea to follow them rather than get lost using different directions.

The first land on the map legend is Critter Country
This exciting land's main attraction is Splash Mountain. The wait for this line can be up to 2 hours, possibly more, but it is well worth the wait. Remember to smile for the camera!
You can also go to the Country Bear Playhouse or Teddi Barra's Swingin' Arcade.
This is the land you hit first upon entering the Magic Kingdom. In it has the main shops and the parade routes. There are a lot of interesting sites here, such as the the Disneyland Railroad, which goes around the entire park and stops at different lands. Another long standing attraction is The Walt Disney Story, featuring "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln", an animatronic show.
While here, you may want to check out the Main Street Cinema where you can watch the classic Disney cartoons on 6 different screens, including "Steamboat Willie".
Go back in time to colonial New Orleans and listen to the jazz rhythms. The main ride you will want to get to first in this land is The Haunted Mansion or The Pirates of the Caribbean. The wait for these rides are about the same as Splash Mountain, if not a little shorter. Be advised, most of the waiting for the Haunted Mansion is outside. While waiting take a look around at the tombstones and other surroundings. The Pirates of the Caribbean is also outside, but there is a little more walking inside.
Disneyland's newest land. This place is home to Mickey, Minnie, your host, Donald, and the rest of the gang. A must for kids of all ages, is going into Mickey's House. There you go through the many rooms of his house and end up at the film vault where you can meet Mickey himself. Be sure you have a camera! Other attractions that are popular are Gadget's Go Coaster, Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin, and the Jolly Trolley. Along with other interactive places for the kid at heart.
