Bloopers, Questions and Comments

Hiya! Since there are two of us working on this page, there are going to be two different point-of-views and comments on the QBCs.... I (Skater) tried to think of ways to show you who thinks what. The first thing that came to mind was different colours. I tried to change colours, but, unfortunately, GeoCities hates me and wouldn't let me have more than one colour per page... so that was out. The next thing that I thought of was different styles. That worked. I am in bold and Jen is in Italics. Oh, yah, and Jen wrote about 1/3 of the total. I found 1/6. We both came up with 1/3. And whatever fraction is remaining (my brain isn't in the mood to figure it out and my body isn't in the mood to get up and find a calculator) were picked up by others (our friends or fellow newsies fans [None of our friends like Newsies! But we make 'em watch anyways. hahaha]).

Good thing Seitz asks, "Charge the newsies more for their papers?" otherwise all those little 7- and 8-year-old kids watching the movie would be confused. "Mommy... what's a distribution apparatus?"
We think Pulitzer makes a better cash register than a newspaper publisher.
When Jonathan says, "It definately adds up!" it really doesn't! Pulitzer only gets 400 dollars extra a day. Yet he loses thousands to the newsies when they strike. Tell me who the smart ones are here. I want to know. And, as a matter of fact, the New York newsies were not as poor as you think. I had to do a report in school on Pulitzer.  (We both did.)  In a magazine I read, it said that almost all of the newsies accumulated small fortunes and went on to earn money and become part of high society. They turned out very wealthy. If you sell 100 papes a day, you earn a dollar (giving 50 cents for 100 papes the next day, you get 50 cents profit.). The minimum wage was, like, 25 cents. So, they were doing very well, actually.  But Jack says, "What'd bein' a newsie ever get me but a dime a day 'n a couplah black eyes?" And that's coming from "the best" newsie...
When they are at the distribution office talking about Pulitzer jacking up the price, Race says, "He's a tightwad, dat's why." He looks at his watch. Then when he says, "Put a lid on it," he looks at it again. Does he have bad memory?
Les says, "Clear out. Give 'im some room," then sits down next to Jack. What's up with that?
When Crutchy takes up a collection, he puts his hat in front of the newsies and they are all like, "I'm not giving you my money!" The newsies that do give the money... why would they be holding the money ready in their hands? Maybe... cuz they were going to get papes.
