She rang the bell and felt herself fall below the ground. She landed witha 'thud' on cold marble floor. She winced in pain. Then she saw a hand held out to her, she looked up and into a pair of warm, familiar blue eyes. "Helios!" Serenity exclaimed ecitedly, forgetting about her pain, she gave Helios a big, warm hug. "How have you been?" She asked, still in Helios's warm embrace. "Fine, thank you. Oh by the way, Happy Birthday Chibi," Helios said as he gave her a kiss on the cheek. Serenity blushed. "It's great to see you! Gosh..I thought I'll never see you again!" She exclaimed with a smile. " Same 'ere Chibi, and look, you've grown into a beautiful young lady." "Or should it be, Princess Serenity?" Helios said with a grin, "Another thing, I have a gift for you." "Oh yeah? What is it?" "Close your eyes," Helios said. Serenity closed her eyes and felt herself engulfed in warmth. Soon, the warmth died down and she opened her eyes slowly, only to find herself fying in mid-air. She gasped. "Like it Princess?" Helios asked as he looked up at her. Serenity peered over to her back and saw two large beautiful wings sprouting from her back. She flapped them and beamed at Helios. "I love them!" Helios smiled. Serenity flew back down and the ground started to shake and rumble. The both of them fell hard on the cold marble floor. "Oh great," Helios muttered under his breath. A crack was heard and the ceiling started to fall. "Chibi! Watch out!" Helios exclaimed as he noticed a piece of marble falling above Serenity's head. She looked up and put her hands up in defense. But before the marble made contact with her head, she was lifted up swiftly into a pair of strong arms and they skidded to a stop in front of the big boulder. Helios mumbled something under his breath and they disappeared, just as another piece of the ceiling fell. They reappeared in the Crystal Palace's ballroom where the ball was held. It was collapsing too. "There you are!" an urgent and worried voice called out. It was Neo-queen Serenity running towards the pair, along with King Endymion following close behind. "Run now!! The palace is collapsing!" Neo-Queen Serenity exclaimed. "But I thought..." Serenity said. "Not now! Later!!" Neo-Queen Serenity said urgently, and turned away from them. "Mum!" Serenity called out. "Not now Chibi," Helios said as he ran out of the palace with Serenity in his arms. Serenity peered over Helios's back and saw her mother using her powers to try to cease the shaking. Good luck Mother, Serenity thought silently. They ran out of the ballroom and found themselves in a tropical rainforest. "What on earth? Helios," Serenity said in shock. "It's started," Helios whispered. |
