Amanda


The lovely and talented Amanda. An old friend and lover of Duncans, she can make him laugh, and she can help him to let go. She survives due to her wit and her sex appeal. She is a professional thief who is basically out to have fun.

In her own words:

Amanda: "Come on. For once in your life just lighten up and let go and break the damn rules!!"

Amanda: "Oh, look. I appreciate your help."
Duncan: "And Id appreciate being a thousand miles away from you."
Amanda(with mock shock): "Youre angry!"
Duncan: "How perceptive!"
Amanda: "What if I kiss it and make it better?"
Duncan: "How much better?"

Amanda: "Duncan, you're the best man I know! You make people better. People like me. People who didn't give a damn about anything in their whole lives until you came along with your big brown eyes and your boyscout rules, . . ."



Timeline:

850 AD Amanda becomes immortal. She is killed for stealing a loaf of bread. Rebecca Horne finds her and becomes her teacher. Her first lesson is that of forgiveness after she tries to steal the Methuselahs crystal.

853 AD Amandas last lesson.
Rebecca: "Choose your ground, choose your weapon, and face what is to come!"


1182 Amanda finds Kenny and teaches him how to survive

1635 Amanda and Rebecca are reunited and traveling together when the meet Duncan.

1742 Duncan and Amanda meet again in Constantinople.

1753 After being caught for stealing the Sultans jewels she runs into Duncan. She is belly dancing until they take her away to cut off her hands.

1806 While staying with Duncan, Amanda works with Zachary Blaine to steal some jewels. She leaves with Zachary and frames Duncan.

1888 San Francisco. Amanda wins the Double Eagle in a poker game.

1916 March, Berlin. Amanda is an entertainer at a local bar. She obtains counterfeit plates and uses Duncan to escape.

1926 Missouri. "The Amazing Amanda" in Barnum and Bailey quits when they only pay $10/week and dont use her tightrope skills which she perfected over 10 years. She meets Corey Raines and embarks on a "Bonnie and Clyde" crime spree.

1993 Paris. Duncan finds Amanda working on her tight rope in the circus. She kills Zachary after Duncan fights him

1993 Seacouver Amanda attempts to comfort Duncan after Tessas death, while trying to change the dates on the counterfeit plates



Since that time Amanda has
-hunted for Luther to revenge Rebeccas death
- helped Duncan break into Durgans to get the Cross of St. Antoine
-worked as a bodyguard for rock singer in an attempt to go straight
- taken Michelle as her student
-broken Kalas out of jail
-settled her differences with Kit by giving him her share of Double Eagle-the horse
-helped to patch things up between Duncan & Joe
-been chased by a watcher for her Crystal,
-died her hair a lovely shade of white
-helped Methos break in to watchers headquarters to retrieve the Methuselahs crystal
-attempted to help Cimoli learn about immortality
-traveled to Moscow with the circus
-done a little light reading and helped mend things between Carol Marshac and Terrence coventry
-met up with Corey Raines, for which she was kidnapped(but escaped with Duncan's help)
-gone dancing and met Steven Keane
-held Duncan and quieted him after he had a nightmare about Culloden
-woke up Methos to find help in keeping Keane and Duncan apart
-set Duncan up for burglary, and was turned-in in return
-stopped by Duncan's on her way to Egypt and was kidnapped by O'Rourke
(I'm leaving out the 'other' Amanda of To Be and the fairytale)
