The Western Art of Denis McLoughlin

These images were primarily used as covers for T.V. Boardman's Buffalo Bill Wild West Annuals from 1949 to 1961 and Purnell's Thrilling Western Series from 1962 to 1968. Obviously the Thrilling Western Series had photo-covers. The interior art is by McLoughlin, however. The Bonanza Annual from 1969 is unique in that Denis' art is used to frame a photo of the show's stars. A few illustrations from Denis' adventure series are here as well.
