1997 General Hospital Fan Weekend:
On Fri. morning my aunt took me to meet up with my two roomates. One
of my roomates, Stacey, lives in the San Diego area. My other roomate is
named Lynn. Stacey drove us up to
LA/Hollywood. We listened to Wally Kurth's band all the way there. We
walked and drove around the famous streets of LA, like Sunset, Rodeo
Drive, Santa Monica, etc... Then we went to Planet Hollywood to eat. I
loved it in there. That is where they had the Port Charles Cast Party back
in June, but I wish they had posters of them up.  Then we went to our
hotel.  Our room wasn't ready yet, so we went by the poolside for drinks.
When we got to the pool, there was Crystal Carson!(Julia Barrett). She
was signing autographs. That was pretty neat to arrive at the hotel and see
her there. Then I met some
people that I had spoken to on the phone, or through e-mail. 

Then it was
time for me to go to the Blast From the Past. My roomates didn't get
tickets to that, so they went to a concert.  Ok, the main attractions there
were John Reilly & Sharon Wyatt!!(Sean & Tiffany) Then also, was Teri
Hawkes(Wendy Masters), Brad Lockerman (Casey the Alien), Gerald
Hopkins(AJ, 1992-1993) Maree Cheatham(Lucy's Aunt Charlene), and
Crystal Carson (Julia). There were some other cast members, but I don't
know who they played. John Reilly & Sharon Wyatt were really nice &
funny people! I got to talk to them and got tons of pics of them! My
roomates came in and they got to take pictures, too, because the ticket
takers had left hours ago. Then we all went back to the hotel room and
went to bed.


	On Sat, we had breakfast with some other friends of theirs. Then
we went to Hollywood. We walked on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, saw
Mann's Chinese Theatre, and saw where all the actors have their hands
& footprints, and also their stars on the sidewalks. We went into a lot of
shops looking for soap pics. I found some of Antonio Sabato that I
bought. I also found some really nice pics of the Port Charles cast. 

Then,
we went to an event held by Kin Shriner (Scott Baldwin). He had Peter
Hansen & Susan Brown (Lee & Gail) Billy Warlock (AJ), 
Denise Galik-Furey(Karen's mom, Rhonda), Carly Shroeder(Serena 
Baldwin), &
Shell Danielson(Dominique!!!). I was so happy that he had Serena &
Dominique there.  Those two had never met before. Carly is such a cute
little girl!!! And she's so polite & well-mannered. I talked to her for
awhile. After that, my friends stayed for the Maurice Benard event. I had
to go outside to wait for them, and lucky I did, because I was the only fan
in the parking lot, so I got to meet Maurice, and Ron Hale(Mike),
Jonathan Jackson (Lucky), George Alvarez(Garcia), and also Jonathan's
brother, Richard Jackson, who's an actor on Saved By The Bell:The New
Class. I got to stand outside & talk to them before & after they went in. I
also got to count how many cigarettes Ron Hale smoked in a row. I
counted 8, but I left for a few minutes to go buy some more film. After
that, we went back to the hotel. 

Then we went out that night to see Kurth
& Taylor play. Wally Kurth & Rena Sofer were both there. They talked
for more than an hour before Wally played. They talked about GH & their
personal lives, and their baby. Rena would like to come back and play
Lois but she'd also like to spend time with her baby. Also, she said her
agent wouldn't let her come back. (I hope she decides to.) Kurth & Taylor
were great! I love the group. His partner is Christian Taylor. I have one of
their CD's, and it's really good! Then I got my pic taken with Rena &
Wally. It was nice meeting them. Plus, there just the right 
amount of people at the concert so that everyone got a chance
to meet them. 


On Sunday, was the GH Luncheon. Almost all the GH & PC cast was
there. It was great. Vanessa & Tyler had to leave early for her best friend's
wedding, so I didn't get to meet them, but at least I saw them, and got one
pic of each of them. They did an awards ceremony, and Sonny & Brenda
won best couple (of course), and they did a Question/Answer session with
the GH stars. Then came the raffle. I won an autographed color 8 x 10
picture of Ingo! Then , I won an autographed calendar of Ingo!! Then they
had everyone get in line to go to the actors' autograph tables.
Unfortunately, there were about 600 people there, and by the time it was
4:00 the luncheon was supposed to have ended at 4:00. So, most of the
actors left. When I finally got there, I met John Ingle(Edward Q), Garcia,
The Tin Man, Keisha, Alexis, & Carly. Those were the only GH people
that stayed. Most of the PC cast stayed, though. I met Mary, Joe, & Frank
Scanlon, Kevin, Scott, & Serena, Julie, Jake, Chris, & Grace.(I hope you
know who I'm talking about) Eve & Danielle were there earlier, 
but they had to leave and I didn't get to meet them. I got tons of pics when
I was there. I took 12 rolls!!
It was a great time, and my first experience ever meeting the
General Hospital stars!
