Welcome to the official website of the highly anticipated movie, Oliver and Lopez!

Join us in celebrating the 132nd anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's death!
Please share your memories of our great friend Abe.

Brought to you by Silent G Productions, this movie was written by Jonny Sweeny and Michael Johnson. It was released on home video in June of 1998. It began as an idea for an independent study project for Bloomington High School North, and it became a fun hobby despite the fact that it was related (or so we claim) to school. Michael and Jonny began their careers as cinematographers during their sophomore year in their G/T English / U.S. History / Health block.

Clicking on the graphic above will take you to a portion of the script. Please keep in mind that, at that stage, it was still in progress, so much of what is there has not yet reached complete sentence stage. Please also keep in mind that it may not make much sense, as it is really more a collection of notes than it is a script. However, it therefore gives you an idea of exactly how our minds work. Note to psychiatrists: We are already receiving treatment, thank you.

In Oliver & Lopez, one of the main characters, the Starvin' Marvin water bottle, is torn from his loving friend, chum, and owner, Legif (the "G" is silent). Stricken with extreme remorse, Legif frantically searches for his dear friend and thirst quencher. Tragically, his best funky cool pal, Bo, is unable to assist him in his quest because he is going through a similar ordeal with his beloved lighter. As each struggles through his hardship, they find that only together do they have the strength to overcome the forces of evil. In the end, they realize that the monster they have been pursuing is bad and dead and evil. Then they party. May the force be with you. Chill. Sweetness (Copyright ©1997 Silent G Productions).

Oliver Lopez

s Oliver and Lopez is the heartwarming story of two funky cool guys, their friendship, hardships they endure, and their struggles with common problems related to adolescence, presented a in not-so-common manner. This movie brings about many different feelings; It will make you laugh in some parts, cry in others. Overall, it is a funny, touching, beautiful story of a bizarre friendship bound to keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire film.

Michael Johnson, one of the authors of the script and an actor in the movie, was so moved by the story that he wrote a poem describing his feelings. Here is a small portion of the 18-page masterpiece:

Laughter,
Tears,
My eyes are wet,
My heart is warm,
More beautiful than morning dew
Glistening on delicate roses
Sweeter than maple sugar candy
Reminding me of fresh cheez-its
And ice cold tea.

If you've had an oppertunity to see the movie, we encourage you to vote on the movie. (this page isn't really for your fun etc., it's just for us to learn dynamic HTML and fun mauve stuff etc.)
