"Everyone alright?" Elizabeth asked her friends.

"Yeah," they all replied. The "earthquake" just stopped and Elizabeth and her friends were looking at the mysterious room the pyramid wall revealed. It was dark, so none of them could see what was inside.

"Cool," Todd said. "A secret room."

"Amazing," Lila awed.

"Should we go inside?" Elizabeth asked.

"There's no reason why we should," Winston reasoned.

"It's kind of dark. Does anyone have a flashlight?" Jessica asked.

"I do," Elizabeth said, rummaging around in her bag. "Here you go."

But Jessica didn't take the flashlight.

"Someone else can lead," Jessica said.

Elizabeth looked in the room, or at least tried to. She can see why Jessica didn't want to be the first one in. Who knew what the room might hold. There could be skeletons and mummies for all they knew.

"Why don't you go in first," Amy told Elizabeth.

"Me?" Elizabeth squeaked.

"Yeah, why not," Ken said, trying to sound casual. He didn't want to be the first one in there.

"Well, alright," Elizabeth said hesitantly.

Elizabeth made her way to the opening and all her friends crowded in behind her. Elizabeth shined the flashlight into the black hole. She could make out a table, some chairs, a desk, a shelf filled with odds and ends, and a small chest.

"Neat," Winston admired.

"Totally," Todd agreed.

"This is so cool," Amy commented.

"Uh huh," Lila mumbled.

"Really," Ken added.

"You said it," Jessica chirped in.

Elizabeth chuckled to herself. This room had literally made her friends speechless!

"Do you think it's alright if we touch some of the stuff?" Amy asked.

"I guess so," Elizabeth replied. Elizabeth and her friends made their separate ways around the room. Lila and Amy explored the shelf. Todd and Ken looked at the carvings in the table and chairs. Winston searched the chest, and Elizabeth followed her sister to the desk.

"I wonder who's room this belonged to," Jessica told her sister.

"Me too," Elizabeth said, picking up the pen on the desk. There was nothing out of the ordinary on the desk. Just pens, paper and other normal stuff.

"Oh my gosh!" Winston suddenly exclaimed.

"What?" Todd asked.

"I think I just found gold," Winston whispered.

* * *

"Gold!?" Jessica exclaimed. "Move out of the way! Let me see!"

She and the rest of her friends made there way to where Winston was knelt. In front of him was a small chest with and exquisite design. But that wasn't what took everyone's breath away. It was what was inside of the chest that interest them.

"Is it real?" Ken asked.

"It sure looks real!" Winston exclaimed.

"Let me see," Lila said, pushing her way to the front. She took a coin and examined it. "Yup, it's real alright."

"Wow! Real gold!" Jessica heard her sister say.

"This is so cool," Jessica said in response.

"What else is in there Winston?" Todd wanted to know.

"Um, let's see," said Winston, searching the chest. "Nothing else in her but gold and more gold!"

"We're going to be rich!" Jessica suddenly yelled.

"I'm already rich, but I don't mind the extra gold," Lila said.

"Wait a minute!" Winston yelled. "What do you mean ‘we'? I'M going to be rich. I found it!"

"Hold it!" Jessica interrupted. "Who's the one that found this room? I did! So I should get the gold!"

"You did not find this room!" Winston exclaimed.

"I did too. I was the one who kicked the wall, that made the wall open, so there!" Jessica shot back.

"Well, fine. We'll share it fifty-fifty," Winston offered.

"Fine by me!" Jessica said, happy that she will be able to share the profit.

"Hey! What about us?" Amy asked.

"Yeah!" Ken said.

"What about you two? You guys didn't do anything, so no gold for you," Jessica said.

"I better get some gold!" Lila warned. "I'm not about to spend my whole day in some dingy pyramid, without getting anything in return!"

"I don't think so!" Winston yelled.

"You guys stop it!" Elizabeth suddenly cut in. "No body's going to get any gold, because it belongs to the museum."

"Please Lizzie," Jessica said, rolling her eyes. "The museum probably doesn't even know about this."

"But it's their property," Elizabeth argued.

"Come on, Liz," Winston said. "I going to have to agree with Jessica with that one. We found the gold, so we should be the ones to keep it."

"I beg to differ," a loud voice behind them suddenly rang out.

* * *

Everyone spun around. They all saw a tall, dark figure standing at the entrance of the secret room. Elizabeth's heart froze. Who was this person? Some psycho-maniac? Or maybe it was the security guards. Or maybe just another tourist. Who ever it was, Elizabeth was going to find out right now, even though she felt like peeing in her pants.

"Who...who's there?" Elizabeth squeaked out.

"Keep quiet little girl," the stranger ordered.

Elizabeth and her friends were all taken back by the sudden remark. I guess that rules out the possibility of him being a security guard, Elizabeth thought to herself. She could feel Jessica's nails digging into her skin.

"Liz, I'm scared," Elizabeth heard her sister say.

"I said no talking!" the stranger repeated.

Jessica quickly shut up. Elizabeth looked around and saw that all of her friends were just as terrified as she was. Who was the person?

As if on cue, the stranger spoke.

"You must all be wondering who I am. Well, just to calm the confusion, I'll let you in. No wait, actually I won't. I'll just make one thing clear. I want the gold," the stranger demanded.

"But we found it!" Winston couldn't help but say.

Oh Winston, Elizabeth thought to herself.

"I don't think that you're in a position to tell me what to do," the stranger barked back. "But it's ours!" Jessica quickly cut in. "And I'm not going to let some overgrown man take away my fortune!"

"Jessica!" Elizabeth warned.

"I think you should listen to your sister there, Jessica," the man ordered. "Hey! Look! Twins! Well, you should be telepathic, so you should be listening to your sister if you know what's good for you."

Elizabeth heard Todd, Winston and Ken whispering to each other about something. She just sure hoped it was a plan. While Jessica, the stranger and now Lila was arguing, Elizabeth listened to what Todd, Winston and Ken were talking about. But they were too far way, and Elizabeth could only catch bits and pieces of the conversation.

". . .get the gold . . ."

". . .kick him . . ."

". . .take the others . . ."

"I'll distract. . ."

". . . make a run for it. . ."

Elizabeth heard enough and realized what they were trying to do. Were they insane? Elizabeth thought to herself. There was no way they would be able to pull off that plan. Elizabeth was about to tell them it was a bad idea, but Winston quickly stood up and grabbed the gold. Todd and Ken ran to the stranger and punched and kicked him with all their might. But the man was strongly built and Todd and Ken's punches were just like tickles to him. The stranger pushed them back and they both fell back on the floor.

"That's it," the stranger yelled. "No more mister nice guy."

And with that, he pulled something out of his pocket and pointed it directly at them. Elizabeth squinted to see what it was. And when she finally realized what it was, her eyes grew big.

It was a gun.
