The Kid from Kokomo

(1939)

A cute, little film, sometimes corny but nevertheless entertaining. In it Pat O'Brien plays a not-so-honest boxing manager who convinces a not-so-bright boxer that he had found his (the boxer's) long lost mother. This makes for a lot of mishaps when O'Brien gets a cleptomaniac con woman to play the boxer's mother. Worthwhile for its nonsense situation gags.
