Holiday

Custer

For a time it became a mobile home park according to the new map.

When I got there I found much of the drive-in environment intact, with the snack bar and wooden fences still up, and the marquee doubling as the RV park sign. The screen tower is left in its current crumpled state, though they have planted a line of pine trees in what could have been the front row.

Just before you get to this site, at the clearing before the exit to Brich Bay-Lynden road from the south, look to the right. There you can see a row of wooden poles. Are they the remains of a farm structure? A billboard? Or a drive-in screen? I haven't found any more evidence of a drive-in on that site.
