Unbreakable Bonds

by Rosalyne

Robin Morgan stands her dining area fussing over a flower arrangement. She feels two arms come around her. Jason Morgan kisses her neck.
Jason: You know you've been messing with that thing for ten minutes.
Robin: (smiles sadly) Sorry, it's mindless work. I don't have to think about....
Robin's eyes start to well up with tears. Jason turns her around and holds her tight. Robin fervently wipes away her tears.
Jason: The car is coming around.
Robin: Okay, I'll be ready.
Jason: If you can't handle it.....
Robin: (shakes her head) No, I have to for Sonny and for Brenda. I still can't believe....
In the background we hear a baby crying. Robin walks toward a small cradle and picks up a tiny baby. Robin rocks the baby back and forth. Lulling it back to sleep. Robin sits down in the antique rocking chair Sonny bought for Brenda. Jason sits beside them on the coffee table and smiles at Robin.
Jason: You're really good at this.
Robin: (smiles) Thank you. I just wish it were under happier circumstances.
The baby cries softly. Robin pats it gently back to sleep.
Robin: Shhhhh little one. I know, Stone. I know you want your mommy, I wish I could give her to you. I wish I could give you your daddy too. But I promise you, I will never left anything happen to you.
Jason kisses the baby's head.
Jason: No, we will never let anything happen to you.
Robin hands little Stone to Jason and walks to the window and thinks back to that horrible day. Brenda, Lois, and Robin were walking out of a boutique in Brooklyn. Lois had just finished making a comment about the wonderful way eight-and-half-months-pregnant Brenda waddled, when shots rang out. Max and Robin's other two guards took bullets but they shot back. When the smoke finally cleared, Brenda was lying in a pool of blood and the shooter was dead. The two guards had thrown themselves on Robin and Lois, the third attempted take the bullet for Brenda. But to no avail. The doctors worked on Brenda for hours and delivered Stone via emergency C-section. By some miracle Stone made it through but one miracle was the only one the were given. Beautiful Brenda Barrett (secretly Corinthos) was gone. Robin blamed herself and the business that her husband belonged to until the shooter was identified. Gina Williams had escaped from jail with the assistance of Harry Smith, who was supposedly dead. Harry wanted Brenda dead and Gina wanted Robin dead. Two birds with one... Jason comes over to Robin and hands her Stone. Robin walks down toward the crib. Jason now looks at the window remembering when she had to tell Sonny his Brenda was gone. Sonny went crazy and went out and killed Harry Smith. He saw his baby once and then left, convinced the life he would offer little Stone would be nothing but hiding in shadows and grief no matter how hard Robin and Jason tried to convince him otherwise. Sonny handed over guardianship to Robin and Jason and disappeared again. This time Jason feared forever. Robin puts little Stone down in his crib. There is a knock on the door. It's Max, with his arm in a sling.
Max: Mr. Morgan, Mrs. Morgan. The car is waiting.
Robin: (frowns) Max, Jason gave you some time off.
Jason:Yes, Max, you're no good to me with a hole in your arm.
Max: Forgive me, Mr. Morgan, but there are still three guys besides me on duty. I just felt like I should.... Well, I am Mrs. Morgan's guard.
Robin feels for the guard for a moment then picks up Stone. Jason takes Stone as Robin puts on her jacket. Robin takes the baby as Jason puts on his, they walk out the door.

The Morgan penthouse is full of people. Robin sits in the corner rocking baby Stone. Jax stands there watching. Jason comes up behind him.
Jason: Jax, we need to talk.
Jax looks at Jason irritated.
Jax: Not now, Jason, your brother just murdered the love of my life.
Jason: Sonny had nothing to do with Brenda's death.
Jax: Really? His business did, this world you're a part of did. I swear to you, Morgan, if anything happens to Robin or that baby--
Jason: Stone is what I want to talk to you about. Have you contacted Julia?
Jax: Yes I have. She was going to fight for custody. But after reading Brenda's wishes and the fact that suddenly her company was going belly under, she decided against it. I wonder how that happened-- care to explain Jason?
Jason looks at Jax with no expression.
Jason: That all I wanted to know. Thank you, Jax.
Jax: I mean it Jason, if your business hurts the two of them--
Jason: (turns to Jax) Robin and Stone are my life. No one is going to hurt them.
Jason walks away. Emily sits with Robin.
Emily: He's so cute. God, Brenda must be so proud. Looking down on this little angel.
Robin: Would you like to hold him?
Emily nods as Robin hands Stone to her.
Emily: Robin are you alright?
Robin: (sighs) I still have nightmares. But I'm getting better. I never thought I would say this but I'm almost thankful Jason is in the business he's in. I mean, I know there is a whole army of people who work around the clock to ensure Stone's safety. How much more safety can this little one have?
Emily: Do you really feel that way, Robin?
Robin: I used to dream all the time of ways Jason could get out of his line of work. Then we lived in this peacefulness. I went to school, Jason had his work, then this happened with Brenda. It seemed like everything could have fallen apart right then. But Jason and I couldn't, Stone needed us and we need each other.
Lucky comes up to Robin and Emily stiffens up.
Lucky: Robin, how you holding up?
Robin: Good, Lucky. You?
Lucky: Really good. I just wanted to say sorry. My dad needs my help over there. I'll see you later?
Robin: Sure.
Lucky looks at Emily as if he is going to say something then just walks away. Emily holds Baby Stone and watches Lucky leave. Robin raises her eyebrows and looks at Emily.
Robin: You know, you're going to have to start speaking again sometime.
Emily: Says who? What he kept from me was unforgivable.
Robin: But Carly told everyone the truth. That Virgina was AJ's and that she's Bobbie's daughter. I thought AJ forgave her.
Emily: He did. But I asked Lucky point blank if he knew what was going on, and he lied to me again! I mean, his sense of family loyalties are so wacky.
Robin: (whispering) You going to Prom with Nikolas didn't help.
Emily: Sarah was out of town, he asked me as a friend. Lucky should have trusted me. Besides, technically we weren't together.
Emily looks at Robin. Robin gives her a look that says she can see through her excuses.
Emily: Alright, I know how I made it look but he shouldn't have lied.
Robin: Look, Emily, I know all about making a bad situation worst. You and Lucky have something special; if nothing else, you've been friends forever. Don't give that all up now.
Jason comes over and takes Stone from Emily. He takes Stone upstairs. Emily looks over at Lucky who is looking at her; they both look away. Luke looks at his son.
Luke: You know, Cowboy, if you stare any harder, you're going to burn two holes into her skull.
Lucky: Dad, let it go.
Luke: (shrugs) None of my business but you should have told her.
Lucky glares at his father and Luke puts up his hands as he backs away. Laura comes up behind him.
Laura: How's he doing?
Luke: Well, it depends on what he wants you to believe.
Lucky watches Emily walk toward her parents, say something, then walk out the door. Lucky starts to follow then stops.

Robin walks upstairs and looks into the nursery that Jason and she have set up for the baby. It was supposed to be just for visits and special nights when Brenda wanted some time off-- now it's Stone's room. Robin watches from the doorway and smiles. Jason sits with his eyes closed, with Stone asleep in his arms. Robin tiptoes to them and takes Stone from Jason. Stone lets out a small cry. Jason wakes up at first startled, then he sees Robin standing over him.
Jason: I'm sorry, I must have dozed off.
Robin: It's not surprising, you haven't slept a full night's sleep in over a week. Since Stone's been with us.
Jason: I keep waking up, watching you sleep, then going to check on Stone. I don't know, I feel like I have to. I can't sleep unless I know you two are safe.
Robin kisses Jason and starts to put Stone down. They hear a voice behind them. It's Mike Corbin.
Mike: Excuse me, I'm sorry, I was wondering if I could maybe put Stone down.
Robin: (hands Stone over to Mike) Of course, we'll leave you two alone.
Mike sits down and begins to rock Stone. He starts singing Stone a lullaby. Tears fall from his eyes; he holds Stone close, sobbing.
Robin and Jason walk down the stairs. They here a voice yelling. It's Karen Wexler.
Karen: JUST LEAVE! They don't need anymore of your grandstanding!
The crowd breaks up and we see Jagger Cates standing there. Jason stiffens and starts to walk over to him. Robin touches Jason's arm. Jason stops and Robin walks toward Jagger.
Robin: Jagger if you're here to offer your condolences then you are more than welcome in my home. But if you and your partner Taggert have come to berate my husband more, then I will have to call Commissioner Garcia again.
Jagger: Robin, you're my friend, but--
Robin: But nothing, Jagger. You never forgave Sonny for what he did to Karen and you blamed Sonny for Stone's death. But since you can't get to Sonny anymore, you have joined the bandwagon on this sick vendetta that Taggert has for Jason, that and in some way you blame Jason for what happened to Gina.
Jagger shifts uncomfortably at the mention of his sister's name.
Jagger: Gina was getting better. I talked to her.
Robin: (sympathetically) Gina broke out of jail. She came after me.
Jagger grabs Robin.
Jagger: NO, DON'T SAY THAT!
Two guards and Jason come between Robin and Jagger. Robin tells them all to back off. Jagger, in tears, looks at Robin. Robin hugs him tightly. Jagger lets her comfort him for a moment then stiffens up. He pulls away from Robin, then resumes his distance.
Jagger: The reason why I am here is to let you know. Out of respect for Brenda and my brother's namesake, I will back off for a couple of days. Then, watch out, Morgan.
With that Jagger walks out. Karen walks over to Robin, whom Jason is holding tightly.
Karen: Robin, I'm sorry. Since the divorce, and Stone's death, now Gina...
Robin: I know, Karen, it's not your fault.
Robin looks up at Jason and kisses him then walks away with Karen.
Robin:Have you made those arrangements?
Karen: (concerned) Yes, but Robin, is now really a good time for you to go? I mean, Stone and Jason really need you.
Robin: That's why I need to go. They need me and I need to be around for a really long time.
Karen: Does Jason know?
Robin: Sort of. I refuse to get his hopes up but he's letting me go. He doesn't know exactly where, but Luke, Max and two guards are going with me. So he's given in.
Karen: (hugs Robin) I hope this works.
Robin looks over at Jason who is talking to Luke.
Robin: (whispers) Me too.
A man sits in a tropical paradise. He looks down at a picture of Leo Faison. He stands up with the assistance of a cane and walks over to the other side of his white porch. A servant comes up to the man.
Servant: Mrs. Morgan will be arriving in two days.
The man brushes him away. The servant leaves. The man stands there with his arms crossed.
Man: Don't worry, my son. I will make it up to you.

Robin hums a lullaby to Stone. Jason watches her from the doorway. Robin sees him and smiles.
Jason: (whispers) You're supposed to be asleep.
Robin: (also whispering) So are you.
Jason: I always feel when you're not there. I can't sleep unless I know you're beside me.
Robin: So what are you going to do when I am gone for a week?
Jason: (sighs) Speaking of which....
Robin puts her finger to his mouth. She puts down Stone who stirs for a moment then goes back to sleep. They both leave the room as Jason puts his arms around Robin from behind. Robin laughs as they go into their bedroom.
Jason: Robin, I know you never keep anything from me unless it's about the HIV. I mean, you don't tell me the things you have to work out by yourself. I understand that. (Robin smiles) And I assume that's what this trip is about but it doesn't mean I like it. Are you sure you don't want me to go with you?
Robin puts her arms around Jason.
Robin: Jason, I would love you to go with me but Stone is still too young to leave the country and with Jagger and Taggert on your back, it's just not safe.
Jason rolls his eyes. Robin playfully nudges him and turns around in his arms.
Robin: I know you have always been careful and I know the first thing in that thick skull of your is to keep Stone and me safe, so you have to stay here with Stone. Besides, if we both went, we would drive the poor nanny into retirement.
Jason: Speaking of nannies....
Robin: Did you find one?
Jason: Well, she comes highly recommended.
Robin: When you say "highly recommended" do you mean in the ways of your world or in the world of diaper changing?
Jason: (laughs) Both.
Robin: Oh, a bonus, right? Well, do I get to meet her?
Jason: (nods) Tomorrow before you leave. First thing in the morning.
Robin: Well then, we better get to bed.
Jason picks up Robin and kisses her.
Jason: I thought you would never ask.

Emily Quartermaine walks up to a headstone in the cemetery. On it we read "Brenda Barrett Corinthos". Emily puts a white rose down on the headstone and sits down.
Emily: Hi Bren, it's Em.
Emily's eyes well up with tears.
Emily: I...I remember when you asked me to be in your wedding to Jax, I felt like a princess or something. Then when all that stuff happened with Robin. You two made me feel like I had two older sisters. When I went to the prom you, Robin, Monica all fussing over me. It made me feel good. You always made me feel so special. I can't believe you're gone.
Emily breaks down in tears sobbing hard. She finally composes herself.
Emily: Baby Stone is perfect. He's like a little angel. I think he has your eyes but he looks like Sonny. I know your watching out for us up there, but that doesn't mean I don't wish you were here.
Emily wipes away her tears. We see a handkerchief come down by Emily's face. Emily follows the hand up and sees Lucky Spencer.
Emily: What brings you here?
Lucky: You know me, can't stand to see a pretty girl cry.
Emily takes the handkerchief. Lucky offers her his hand. Emily takes it as Lucky stares at Brenda's headstone.
Lucky: I remember when we were in Paris. The two of you giggling and that foul stench that came out of the bathroom.
Emily: (laughs) I can't believe those guys thought I was Brenda.
Lucky smiles at Emily.
Lucky: Well, you're just as beautiful as she was.
Emily blushes.
Emily: I have to go, it's getting late and my folks are already worrying about me.
Lucky: Em, do you think we could go get something to eat or something?
Emily: No, Lucky.
Lucky: If you're not hungry we could just go somewhere and sit.
Emily: Lucky, look, what's the point?
Lucky: The point is I miss you, and I know you miss me... we were so good together.
Emily: Until you lied to me.
Lucky: (angry) And you went to the prom with Cassadine.
Emily: We went as friends!
Lucky: Oh yeah! Well that's not how you made it look!
Emily: And you never let me forget it! Because of you, I'm lucky Sarah even speaks to me anymore!
Lucky: I don't know why I keep doing this to myself.
Emily: Me either-- why don't you just make up some lie? That's what you're good at.
Lucky: That was low, Em.
Emily: (now standing right against him) No! I'll tell you what was low. Me, your girlfriend, the girl you said you loved, coming to you in tears begging you to tell me the truth because no one else would, because they were afraid I couldn't handle it. I begged you to tell me if Carly's baby was AJ's and you said you didn't know, but you did, and you lied to me like the rest of them!
Lucky: You forgave them! Why can't you forgive me?
Emily: Because I expect that from them. That's the way they work. But I didn't expect that from you!
Lucky stands there quiet.
Emily: I didn't think you would ever lie to me. I counted on you to tell me the truth. You promised after that thing with your mother you would never lie to me again. I believed you! You may not think that's much, but I don't believe in much in this world. I believe that Monica and Alan love me, I believed Jason and Robin would always be there for me and I believed you would never lie to me again.
Lucky: I'm sorry, Em.What else can I say?
Emily: Nothing.
Emily walks away and leaves Lucky standing in front of Brenda's headstone.

It's early the next morning. Robin is reading the paper drinking her tea. Jason comes down holding Stone.
Robin: How are my guys this morning?
Stone lets out a ear piercing scream. Jason winces. Robin frowns. The door opens as a blonde, beautiful woman walks in.
Jason: (rocking Stone) May I help you?
Jennifer: No, may I help you? (walks up to Jason) My name is Jennifer Reeves. I'm here for the nanny position.
She tries to take Stone from Jason. Jason jerks back and looks over at Robin. Robin nods. Jason hands Stone to Jennifer. Jennifer rocks Stone back and forth, then pats his back. Stone lets out a small burp, then quiets right down. Robin smiles as Jason looks embarrassed. Jennifer puts Stone down in his bassinet. Stone coos happily.
Robin: (puts out her hand) I'm Robin Morgan. This is my husband, Jason.
Jennifer shakes Robin's hand. Jason puts out his hand, Jennifer takes it firmly and shakes it.
Jason: Ms. Reeves, you come very highly recommended.
Jennifer: Thank you, Mr. Morgan. Let's just say I have been in this line of work since I was a child.
Jason: (flipping through a file) You've worked steadily and efficiently. I see you resigned from your employment....
Jason looks at Robin. Robin picks up Stone.
Robin: That's my cue to leave.
Jason stops Robin and kisses her on the cheek. Robin walks up the stairs.
Jason: (continues) You resigned from your employment when an attempt was made on your last ward's life.
Jennifer: Yes, the shooter was neutralized and I left.
Jason: May I ask why?
Jennifer: I try to stay very anonymous. When too many people know who I am and what I am capable of, I become a liability. Then, for their safety, I have to leave.
Jason: Ms. Reeves, I understand your position but you have to understand my wife. She will want more than a skilled bodyguard that knows their way around babies. She will want someone to love Stone and care for him.
Jennifer: I understand, Mr. Morgan, and I am capable of those things. But that choice is entirely up to you. There are many of us in the field but none as good as me.
Jason nods. Robin comes downstairs. Jason and Robin go into the kitchen and discuss the situation.
Jason: She's good.
Robin: From what I have seen of her credentials she's marvelous, and the way she took care of Stone for that moment-- she seems perfect. But is, um, she qualified?
Jason: Do you mean does she know what I do for a living? Yes, that's why I specifically chose her. I like her, but we have to agree on this.
From the dining room we here a thud and then a man screech in pain. Jason and Robin run inside and start laughing-- there on the floor is AJ with his arm twisted over him by Jennifer.
AJ: Hey Jason is this the way you greet guests?
Jason: (trying to contain his laughter) I told you always call before you come over.
Robin: (laughing) Sorry, AJ, but since your here, why don't you meet our new nanny, Jennifer.
Jennifer releases AJ. AJ stands up and puts his hand out, rubbing his shoulder.
AJ: Nice to meet you.
Jennifer: Nice to meet you. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan, I am going to check on Stone ,then I will come down and go over my procedures with your guards.
Jason: Max and Ian will be out of the country, but I'll call them in. They're two of my most trusted.
Jennifer: Of course. If you'll excuse me.
AJ watches her leave.
AJ: Where do you find your help, Jason?
Robin: (laughs) I'll get you something to drink.
Jason: What can I do for you, AJ? If it's about Carly...
AJ: No, that's all squared away. She may have made her mistakes, but she does love Virginia and she lets me see her whenever I want. No, it's about Emily. I'm worried about her. She took this whole thing really hard.
Jason: I know, Monica and Alan still growl everytime they see me or Robin.
AJ: It's not your fault, Jas, they should have told her. Hell, I should have told her. You two were just being honest. But Em's so fragile, I mean, she's tough but things like this hit her pretty hard. I was wondering if Robin could talk to her.
Jason: (shaking his head) Robin's going away for a couple of days but why don't you tell her to come over after school this week? She can help Jennifer get settled in and that could give me some time to talk to her too.
AJ: (nods) Sounds good.
Jennifer comes down the stairs. She goes into the kitchen and we hear her talking to Robin.
AJ: You have got one incredible wife. That Jennifer is one hell of a looker-- talk about trust.
Jason turn toward the kitchen and shrugs. AJ laughs.
AJ: Of course you don't notice. Anyone can see that. Everyone knows the only person you ever really look at is Robin.
Jennifer comes out of the kitchen and goes back up the stairs.
AJ: But I'm not you.

Jason and Robin stand at the airport hugging. Luke stand there looking at them; he clears his throat.
Luke: This is why I won't let the Mrs. come to the airport with me.
Robin: (laughs then look up at Jason) Stay safe. I'll be back before you know it.
Jason: Then you better not leave cause I always know when you're not around.
They kiss passionately. Robin walks over to Jennifer who is holding Stone.
Jennifer: Don't worry Mrs. Morgan. Stone is in good hands.
Robin nods. With that Luke, Robin, Max,and Ian board the plane.

Jennifer and Jason walk into the penthouse.
Jennifer: She knows what you do for a living? If you don't mind me asking? Mrs. Morgan knows, that is?
Jason: She knows what it involves but she stays out of it. Faison left her his territory but she handed it over to me.
Jennifer: Yes, I heard about that. Faison, that man was a loon. I think it's better that way; women that know to much about their husband's business become liabilities.
Jason nods.
Jennifer: I am taking Stone up stairs for his nap. (holds the listening device in her ear) AJ and Emily Quartermaine are coming up.
Jennifer walks upstairs. Jason opens the door. Emily has her hand up to knock.
Emily: Hey, you're good.
She hugs him and walks into the house.
Emily: I'm going to get something to drink. Then I'm going to check on Stone.
Jason: (looks at AJ) You know Em knows the way here with her eyes closed.
AJ: I know, I just thought I would see how you were doing. This is the first time you and Robin have been separated since you two got hitched. I mean, for more than a day or so.
Jason:You know I can tell when you're lying. I think it has more to do with a certain nanny.
Jennifer: (from the staircase) Talking about me already, huh?

Robin sits staring out the window. Luke squeezes her hand.
Luke: You're doing the right thing.
Robin: (smiles) Then why am I so scared?
Luke: It's okay, baby, I would worry if you weren't.
Luke stands up; as Max sits down, he hangs up his cell phone. Robin chuckles. Max looks at her confused.
Robin: So how is Carly?
Max: (uncomfortable) Excuse me?
Robin: Max, you and I have been through a lot together. I thought you could trust me. I saw how badly Carly freaked in the ER. I know we're supposed to keep a distance but I'm not blind.
Max: (smiling) Carly is fine. I've been trying to find a way to tell Mr. Morgan.
Robin: Don't worry, Mr. Morgan will understand. If not, I'll just put my will up against his.
Max: Oh no, the last time that happened. All the guards had to duck for cover.
Robin and Max laugh.

The man with the cane stands looking out the window. The servant comes in.
Servant: Their plane will land shortly.
Man: Very good.

Jennifer Reeves and AJ Quartermaine stand outside a grocery store. AJ pulls out his keys and opens the car door for her, then gets inside and starts the car. They drive down the road.
Jennifer: I still don't think it was a good idea for me to leave Stone alone.
AJ: But he's not. Em and Jason are with him.
Jennifer: But it's my job to be there.
AJ: (laughs) Then you have a hell of a road ahead of you. There are so many people in that little one's life you'll be lucky to hold him at his high school graduation.
Jennifer: (laughing) I can see that. I've been briefed that there's Mike Corbin, the Spencers, the Donellys, Robin's uncle, Felicia Jones, you and Emily, and of course Mr. and Mrs. Morgan. They seem like nice people.
AJ: (nods) Robin's the best and she brings out the best in Jason. I'm telling you, everytime I start to think love is just a crock, I look at those two.
Jennifer: (looking out the window) I wouldn't know. I don't do love.
AJ: What do you mean?
Jennifer: Most of the guys I date don't stick around for very long, or date me for ulterior motives, like getting close to the people I work for.
AJ: Sounds like you're dating the wrong kind of men. (pulls over and opens the car door for Jennifer) Let me ring Jason to tell him we're here.
AJ walks away. Jennifer stands there. She hears a voice behind her.
Taggert: Well, the mouse is away for a day and the cat's....
Jagger grabs Taggert's shoulder.
Jagger: Give it a rest, Taggert.
Jennifer: May I help the two of you?
Jagger: No, just doing our job.
Jennifer: Well, you must have a cake job. Let me guess, since you're getting paid for standing on street corners and hurling insults at strangers, you must be police officers.
Taggert: We've got a live one here!
Jagger looks at the girl with a mixture of curiosity and amusement.
Jagger: You with AJ?
Jennifer: Do I need my lawyer?
Taggert: Now, why would you go assuming a thing like that, it's an innocent question.
Jennifer: Cops don't ask innocents questions. Since I see you both aren't wearing uniforms you must be detectives, so that statement goes doubly for you.
Jagger: Tough room.
AJ: (from behind all three of them) Jagger, Taggert, don't you have a better way to spend your days than watching my brother and sister make spaghetti?
Jagger: Your brother, now A,J you drinking again? You know Jason doesn't let you call him that.
Taggert: You driving, AJ? Should I pull out my breathelizer?
Jennifer senses AJ's rising anger.
Jennifer: You do and I will have my lawyer so far in your face, you'll wish you never met me. Now if you'll excuse us, we're leaving.
Taggert: I'm already wishing I never did.
Jagger: (watching Jennifer walk away) Speak for yourself, man.
Jennifer and AJ stand in front of the elevator. AJ lets out a frustrated sigh.
Jennifer: You okay?
AJ: Yeah, so you've met the keystone cops.
Jennifer: Yes, I read my files on them. I thought it was an exaggeration-- boy, they really don't let up on Mr. Morgan.
AJ: Or Mrs. Once they pulled Robin right out of her anatomy class. For what? Because Jason had just bought her a car and put bullet proof windows in, they wanted to know why.
Jennifer: You're kidding!
AJ: (shakes his head) Nope. Justus, my cousin and Jason's lawyer, really stuck it to the department. Taggert and Jagger aren't even allowed to step foot on PCU if Robin's there.
Jennifer: I have seen this kind of harassment happen before. But the people under survellience usually crack.
AJ: Not Jason or Robin, they won't let them do that to them. They've fought too hard to get what they have.
Jennifer: (moved) You really admire what the have, don't you?
AJ: Can you tell?
Jennifer: Yeah, but I think it's kind of sweet.
AJ blushes; as the doors open he motions to Jennifer to step inside. Jennifer does so and smiles at AJ.
Jennifer: (to herself) And I thought this would just be another job.

Robin, Luke, Max ,and Ian walk into a small medical clinic. The receptionist smiles.
Receptionist: Mrs. Morgan? Dr. Ramirez has been waiting. Follow me.
The four start to walk in.
Receptionist: I'm sorry, only one can go back with Mrs. Morgan.
Luke: Sorry boys. Enjoy the sights.
Max starts to shake his head. Robin smiles at him.
Robin: It's okay,Max.
Robin and Luke go into the back. The receptionist follows behind them and ducks into the next room. Robin follows. Someone from behind hits Luke. The receptionist pushes Robin into the room and shuts the door behind her. Robin tries to open the door but the receptionist has locked it from the outside. Ian and Max hear the commotion; they try to get in but a spray of bullets erupts. Ian is hit and Max takes cover. He shoots back, but the gunfire stops. Max pulls out his cell phone. He dials and someone answers.
Max: Get Morgan, it was a setup! Mrs. Morgan is in trouble.

Robin works the door, trying to get it open. Finally it opens and two men with guns come in, followed by more men dragging an unconscious Luke Spencer. Robin gets on her knees and checks his head.
Robin: (holding Luke) Luke??!! Luke??!! You alright?
Luke: (stirs) Yeah, baby-- boy, this doctor of yours has no bedside manner.
They hear the sound of a chair turning in the room. They both gasp at the person sitting in it.
Cesar: Now, Mr. Spencer, is that anyway to greet your host?
Luke: Cesar.

Emily, Jennifer, and AJ giggle from the kitchen. Jason sits at the dining room in the midst of Robin's homework, trying to find some semblance of order to it so he can move it off the dining table. The phone rings.
Jason: Morgan.
Jennifer, hearing the phone, comes out of the kitchen and she sees Jason's face contort in anger.
Jason: What! What do you mean she's in trouble? I'm on my way.
Jason hangs up the phone.
Jennifer: Should I pack for Stone and myself as well, Mr. Morgan?
Jason: NO! Stone and you stay. I'm calling in two of my best, they'll be with Stone at all times. I can't afford to let anything happen to Stone.
Jennifer: Of course, Mr. Morgan.
Jason: I'm trusting you with what my wife and I hold dearest to us, Ms. Reeves. If anything were to happen to him--
AJ: Jason!
Jennifer: No, it's perfectly understandable. Mr. Morgan, I know my job and I also know the consequences of mishaps. I have never had one.
Jason: Then take care of Stone.
Emily: I'll check in on Stone everyday.
Jason: Good, I would like that. Em, there's something else I need you to do.
Emily nods knowing right away what it is. She picks up the phone and dials.
Emily: Lucky, I need you to come over to Jason's right away.

Lucky Spencer paces the Morgan living room. Emily comes up to him and offers him a cup of coffee.
Lucky: Thanks
Emily: I know it's hard, but Jason knows what he's doing.
Lucky: Jeez, déja vous. God, I thought these days were long gone.
Emily: Me too, but I don't think this has to do with Faison. Robin shot him, he's gone.
Lucky: Yeah and they never did find his father. I just have this gut feeling.
Emily: (laughs) That Spencer gut, whatever it is I'm sure we'll work it out.
Lucky looks at Emily.
Lucky: We?
Emily: (blushes) Yeah, we.

Jennifer watches Jason pack his overnight bag.
Jason: Jennifer, I really need you to keep things in control here. Normally I would ask Luke, but since he's part of this mess I don't know who else to trust. So I am trusting you. I know you don't know me well enough to know this, I can count on one hand how many people I do trust.
Jennifer: I understand, Mr. Morgan.
Jason: Now, Emily is allowed over here when no one else is here. Meaning Benny or the rest of them-- if they show up, she leaves immediately. AJ is okay, but no discussions of my business or anything related to this situation.
Jennifer: What about tweedledee and tweedledum downstairs?
Jason: If they ask, I went to meet Robin. That's all they need to know. If they speculate anything else, that's their business. Justus' number is in my desk. They can't come in here, not that they'd find anything except Robin's thesis. But I don't even want them touching that.
Jennifer: Understood. I know from the photos I've been shown who can come in and see Stone, if your guards use the listening devices and techniques everything should run smoothly.
Jason: If I'm gone for more than four days, I'll have you contacted.
Jennifer: Is there a way to verify the message is coming from you?
Jason: (pleasantly surprised at her experience) It will be Max or Justus who contacts you.
Jennifer: Alright, Mr. Morgan.

Jennifer walks down the stairs and sees Emily talking to Lucky. AJ is sitting on the couch talking to a blonde woman who is holding a baby. AJ turns to Jennifer.
AJ: Jennifer, this is Carly Roberts.
Jennifer shakes Carly's hand. AJ takes baby Virginia.
AJ: And this little angel is the light of my life. My daughter Virginia. (Carly clears her throat) I'm sorry, our daughter Virginia.
Jennifer hides her disappointment.
Jennifer: She is beautiful.
Jason walks down the stairs holding his overnight bag.
Jason: Carly?
Carly: Jason, I'm sorry to bother you but I'm looking for Max.
Jason: Max is with Robin in South America.
Carly: Oh, I just thought maybe he might have seen my earring, I think I dropped it in Robin's car. Robin said she hadn't seen it and Max was the only other person with us that day.
AJ: (mumbling) You seem to have a problem with earring losses.
Carly glares at AJ, then looks at Jason who is slightly amused. Jason motions to Carly to come into the dining area with him.
Carly: What's going on?
Jason: Carly, I'm not stupid. I know what's going on between you and Max.
Carly: What do you mean??
Jason gives Carly a look. Carly, knowing Jason's perceptiveness, sighs.
Carly: Alright, we were going to tell you, but I didn't know how you would react.
Jason: It's none of my business. But when Max is on duty, his first priority has to be Robin. If not, I will have to replace him. I know that sounds harsh, but that's the way it is.
Carly: I know, Jason, Max and I have been through all this. Now where is he?
Jason: He ran into some trouble.
Carly: WHAT!!
Jason: Don't worry, I'm taking care of it.
Carly: What happened?
Jason: I can't go into it now, but if you have the time I can fill you in on the way to the airport.
Carly: Let me ask AJ to watch Virginia.
Carly walks over to AJ, who agrees to watch Virgina.
Lucky: Are we ready?
Jason: We?
Lucky: Come on, Jason, are we going through this again?
Jason: I need you here. (pulls Lucky aside) I need you to keep a eye on Emily and your family, that's what Luke would want.
Lucky: Do you think it's Faison?
Jason: I don't know, but I don't like the way this is feeling.
Lucky: You going to call Sean?
Jason: No, not yet. If this is related to my business, I don't want him involved. Now stay here, alright?
Lucky nods. Jason and Carly exit. AJ shakes his head.
AJ: I hope Carly's alright, she looked upset when she left.
AJ hands Virginia a toy pig and sits on the floor with her. Jennifer smiles.
Jennifer: You're good with her.
AJ: Yeah, I just wish I could spend every minute with her. I see her whenever I want, Carly's good about that, but I still wish I had more time with her.
Jennifer: You and Carly aren't together?
AJ: (laughing) Me and Carly, no way!
Jennifer: Oh, I'm sorry, I assumed...
Jennifer blushes as AJ catches on, pleased by her visible reaction.
Jennifer: Well, I better check on Stone. You're welcome to stay. I mean Emily went through all this trouble.
AJ: Thanks, Virginia and I would love that.
Jennifer disappears up the stairs. AJ watches her, smiling.

Robin Morgan stands in a small room. A picture of Leo sits by the table. Robin walks over and puts it face down. A guard comes in with a red dress. Robin examines it and realizes it's the same dress Leo made her wear the night he took her. Robin feels sick and sits down. It's like the whole ordeal is happening again.
Guard: You have one hour. Get ready.
Robin sits on the bed and starts to cry.

Later, Robin enters a room, a dining area similar to the one Leo set up for her. Cesar stands looking away from her. He turns around and smiles.
Cesar: You look so like your mother. So beautiful.
Robin: What do you want? Revenge for your son who was avenging you? You're both sick. Thank God I killed him.
Cesar holds the table, controlling his anger.
Cesar: Watch your words, child. I'm afraid the first time around, daughter-in-law, I didn't get a chance to know you. I was a bit incapacitated. I owe you for taking care of me so well.
Robin: Then let me go.
Cesar: No, I already have your reward.
Cesar opens the door behind him. Robin gasps and grabs the table in fear she might faint. There in front of her is Leo Faison.
Robin: How? I thought I--
Leo: (smiles) Oh, hush, dear wife. I know my "death" must have left you distraught. But as you can see, I am well.
Robin stands there trying to take everything in. The room starts spinning.
Leo: Now sit, we have so much catching up to do.

Luke Spencer lays in a hospital bed. He tries to speak but cannot. He tries to touch his throat but he cannot because his hands are in casts. He realizes his throat has been stitched. A nurse and doctor come in.
Nurse: Poor man, he was found with both his hands broken and his voice boxed slightly crushed.
Doctor: Tourists never learn there are some places you just don't go. I'm afraid he won't be speaking for at least a week or so. With his hands broken, I can't even ask him to write his name.
Nurse: What about the other two with him?
Doctor: One's critical, the other's in the same condition as this one. Badly beaten.
Nurse: Have you contacted the authorities?
Doctor: Yes, hopefully I will get some response.
Luke closes his eyes, tears falling. One thought goes through his head. He opens his mouth to speak but the pain is unbearable. Luke lays there, hearing over and over in his head what he can't say: "Robin, he's got Robin."

Robin sits down across from Leo. Leo pours her a glass of apple cider. Robin looks away.
Robin: So this new cure was nothing but an elaborate plot to get me away from Jason?
Leo: (nods) Yes, I thought it was perfect timing, don't you think? Poor Mrs. Corinthos gunned down. Little Stone being in your care. I know you, Robin. Dear, sweet, Robin, always there for everyone else. I knew this "new cure" would make you come running, especially if it came from such a reliable source. I have to say Dr. Wexler was more than receptive to the man I sent. She so wanted to help her best friend.
Robin: So you used me, Karen, Brenda's death, my love for her baby and for Jason to kidnap me again.
Leo: Oh, dear Robin, I didn't kidnap you. You came here willingly, remember. That's the beauty of this whole plan.
Robin grabs a knife. Leo motions to the guard behind her. The guard holds a gun to Robin's back.
Leo: I suggest you not try anything stupid. Remember, Luke is still so weak and Jason will be here soon.
Robin: (shakes) You're demented.
Leo: (laughing) Well, that's a step up from being a sick bastard.
Cesar and Leo let out identical eerie laughs. Robin fights the tears of fear around her eyes.

Jason Morgan arrives at the hospital.
Jason: My name is Jason Morgan. I was told Luke Spencer and two of my friends were here.
Nurse: Luke Spencer? Oh my, wait, is he an older man with blonde hair?
Jason: Yes.
Nurse: He's doing well, but because of certain circumstances, he hasn't been able to communicate. Come with me.
Jason walks down the corridor and sees Luke lying there with tubes coming out of his neck. The nurse pulls a curtain back and Jason sees Max and Ian lying there. Jason starts to shake.
Jason: Was....(his voice cracking) Was there a girl with them?
Nurse: A girl? No, sir. They were found in an alley, apparently mugged and beaten .Their wallets were found next to them, no ID or money. Are you related to any of them or is there a next of kin we should notify?
Jason thinks for a moment.
Jason: No, I'll notify them.
The nurse walks out the door. Luke motions to Jason. Jason sits by his bed.
Jason: Luke, it's alright. I'll call Lucky and Laura. I'm sorry this happened.
Luke waves his arm, trying to communicate something, anything to him. Jason takes his arm.
Jason: What is it? Is it Robin?
Luke nods.
Jason: Is she in trouble?
Luke nods again.
Jason: Don't worry, I'm taking care of it.
Jason walks out the door. Luke, frustrated, tries to get up but a nurse stops him.

Jason stands outside a building. He turns to Pedro, one of his associates in South America.
Pedro: It was a very elaborate setup. Mrs. Morgan thought she was coming here for a consultation. The place was rented and set up in two days, then after the incident with Mrs. Morgan, it was totally cleared.
Jason: Any ideas of who rented it?
Pedro: It was a dummy company. But there was a rumor that Mr. Moreno was in town last week.
Jason thinks, Moreno. After Sonny left, he had been a thorn in his side but to make a move like this seemed absurd. Pedro looks at Jason, fearful.
Pedro: There was a report that a young woman was seen getting into a car that later was found on fire down the road. Two men and a women were recovered but the bodies were burned beyond recognition.
Jason: (trembles) Was she American?
Pedro: That is what the authorities say.
Jason: The car?
Pedro: Yours sir.
Jason closes his eyes. He refuses to believe it was Robin. If it's Moreno, this is the way his people would operate, but to kill Robin? No, holding her would give them more leverage against him.
Jason: I'm going back to the hospital. If you learn any more, please inform me.
Pedro: Yes sir.
Jason walks away, dialing a number on his cell phone.
Jason: Justus, this is Jason. Call Jennifer, tell her I will be here longer.
Justus: Alright, anything else?
Jason: Yes, get me in touch with Donelly.

Jennifer picks up the phone.
Jennifer: Reeves here.
Justus: Jennifer, my name is Justus Ward.
Jennifer: Yes, I know. I know why you're calling. No problem, is there anything I can do?
Justus: No, everything is being taken care of.
Jennifer gets off the phone, under two minutes, no way to trace the call. She looks down at Stone in his stroller and walks out the door. Two guards follow her as she enters the elevator. The doors open back up to show Jagger Cates standing there.
Jennifer: Detective, I am on my way to Stone's doctor appointment. If you don't have any objections, I am running late.
Jagger, almost ignoring, her looks down at Stone.
Jagger: He was named after my brother, did you know?
Jennifer: No, actually, I didn't.
Jagger: Yes, my brother and Sonny were very close. Robin and Stone were together and very much in love before he died.
Jennifer stands there knowing she shouldn't be talking to him or allowing him near Stone, but for a moment she feel sympathetic.
Jennifer: I'm sorry.
Jagger: I am too. I'm sorry I was so preoccupied in bringing down drug dealers that I wasn't around to protect those Stone loved most.
Jennifer: What would Mrs. Morgan need protection from, Detective Cates?
Jagger: Mr. Morgan.
Jennifer: I don't know them well, but it's obvious to me that Mrs. Morgan is not being held here at gun point. Now, if you'll excuse me.
Jennifer brushes by him. Jagger watches her leave.
Jagger: (to himself) Until we meet again, Ms. Reeves.

Lucky holding on phone on his shoulder packs.
Lucky: Yes mom, yes, I will do everything I can but if I don't get off this phone I will miss my flight. Jason made all the arrangements. Don't worry, mom, I will take care of Dad. Bye now.
Lucky hangs up the phone and looks around the living room. He tries to stuff one more shirt in his bag; in the process of tugging and pulling to get his bag closed, there is a knock on the door. Lucky lets out a frustrated sigh then opens the door. Emily Quartermaine stands there with a bag in her hand.
Emily:You dragging your heels, Spencer? Let's go.

Jennifer walks into Luke's club, one of the places she has been told is safe to go to. Mike Corbin comes from behind the bar.
Mike: Hi, my name's Mike Corbin. I'm a friend of Luke's and Jason's. I'm watching this for Luke while he's gone.
Jennifer takes Stone out of his stroller.
Jennifer: You're more than that. You're this handsome fellow's grandfather. Who,I might add, let me know just five minutes ago he was dying to see you.
Jennifer hands Stone to Mike. Mike gently takes him.
Mike: I can't get over how much he looks like Sonny.
Jennifer: I don't know, but he is a handsome devil. If you ask me, he looks like you.
Mike holds Stone and smiles.
Mike: For that, anything you want is on the house.
Mike sits holding Stone. Jennifer watches him.
Mike: He's got Brenda's eyes.
Jennifer: That's what Emily Quartermaine said.
Mike: Brenda would have been proud.
Jennifer: I'm sure she would.
AJ walks in and Jennifer smiles.
Jennifer: If you'll excuse me, I see someone I know. Do you mind watching Stone for a moment?
Mike: Oh, of course not.
Jennifer motions to the guards to keep a eye on Stone and walks over to AJ.
AJ: Hi there, you didn't need to get up, I was just coming to you.
Jennifer: I know, that's why I came to you. I wanted Mr. Corbin to have some time alone with his grandson.
AJ: You really are something.
Jennifer: What do you mean?
AJ: I'm sure you have some hidden talents that are useful to Jason that are none of my business, so don't bother to tell me that cause I beat you to it. But you really have a good heart.
Jennifer: (blushes) Thank you.
AJ: So, what are you doing?
Jennifer: Just getting out for a bit.
AJ: Do you mind if I keep you company?
Jennifer: No, I think I would like that a lot.
Just then, Jagger Cates walks through the door.
Jagger: Is this a private party, or can anyone join?

The Club

Jagger Cates looks down at Jennifer. Jennifer rolls her eyes. AJ gets up.
AJ: Actually, Jagger, yes, it is a private party. May I see your invitation?
Jagger: How witty of you.
Jennifer: Alright, neutral corners, guys. Detective Cates, may I have a word with you? AJ, I will be right back.
Jagger and Jennifer walk away from AJ.
Jennifer: Look, I don't know what you're trying to pull here, but stop.
Jagger: (smugly) Now, Ms. Reeves, what's wrong with trying to get to know a beautiful lady?
Jennifer: Me, or trying to get to know my employer so you can slap some handcuffs on him?
Jagger: Is there anything I need to know that would make me put handcuffs on Morgan?
Jennifer: You know, this vendetta of yours is going to make you lose everything you have, Detective Cates. If you haven't already.
Jennifer walks away and back to AJ.
AJ: You alright?
Jennifer: Yeah, just frazzled a bit. That guy has some serious baggage.
AJ: Don't I know.
Jennifer: What's the deal between you and him, anyways? It seems to be more than just your brother.
AJ: It's a long story. It stems from an arrogant me challenging him to a boxing match.
Jennifer: Who won?
AJ: (embarrassed) He did.
Jennifer: That's it?
AJ: What do you mean?
Jennifer: No long, drawn-out reasons why he won, like you ate something that disagreed with you or you didn't get enough sleep the night before?
AJ: No, he was just a better boxer than me.
Jennifer: Wow, honesty with no smoke screens. This is refreshing.
AJ: It's a new art I'm working on.
Jennifer: Well, it agrees with you.
AJ: Ms. Reeves, would you like to have dinner with me sometime?
Jennifer: (frowns) I would like that but I can't.
AJ: I understand. I didn't mean--
Jennifer: No, it's not that I don't want to, but I am basically working on no time off until Mr. and Mrs. Morgan return.
AJ: How about I bring dinner to you?
Jennifer: To the penthouse?
AJ: Yes.
Jennifer: I would like that. But I really have to go now. It's getting close to Stone's naptime.
AJ: Alright, tomorrow then?
Jennifer: That will be fine.
AJ: See you then.
Jennifer walks over to Mike. Mike hands Stone over to Jennifer.
Jennifer: You know, you're welcome to come over and see Stone anytime you like. Just try to refrain from the three o'clock in the morning visits.
Mike: (laughs) Not a problem.
Jennifer walks out. Mike stands there with AJ.
Mike: She seems like a nice girl.
AJ: You're telling me.

The next night, Jennifer looks at herself in the mirror. This is the first time since she was a teenager that she is excited about a date. Or is it a date? It is dinner. The guards let her know that AJ is on the way up. Jennifer hears the door ring and opens the door to a frantic AJ who is holding a screaming Virginia and a diaper bag. Jennifer laughs.
Jennifer: Should I set an extra place?

Jason stands looking out Luke's hospital window. He has to think clearly, he let his guard down and now Robin was missing again. Jason hears a commotion outside. Carly Roberts bursts into the room. She looks disoriented for a moment, then sees Max lying there. Carly rushes over to him.
Carly: Oh my God, Max!
Emily and Lucky walk in. Lucky sees his father and runs over.
Lucky: Dad!
Jason walks up to Emily.
Emily: We had no choice, Jason. You know Carly, she found out that you sent for Lucky and flipped out! It was either take her or have all of PC International know where we were going.
Jason: So what's your excuse?
Emily: I figured you might need me.
Jason: (raises his eyebrows) I might?
Emily: Alright, Lucky too. But don't you dare tell him.
Jason: Speaking of telling...
Emily: Alan and Monica?
Jason nods.
Emily: They think I'm in Brooklyn.
Jason: And if they call?
Emily: They won't, and if they do, well, they'll put two and two together when they find out Lucky's not around, and I'll deal with it when I get back.
Jason: You sure know how to work those two.
Emily: Never mind about them. What about Robin?
Jason: She's missing. They found the car I rented in flames and the remains of three people inside. One was a woman.
Emily: Don't start thinking negatively, Jason.
Jason: This coming from you?
Emily: Do you feel she's gone?
Jason: No, that's just it. I have no idea who is doing this.
Lucky motions over to Jason.
Lucky: My dad is trying to tell you something.
Jason comes over.
Jason: Luke, rest.
Luke sits up. Lucky assists him hesitantly. Jason sits next to Luke on the bed.
Jason: What is it, Luke, is it about Robin?
Luke nods.
Jason: Was it Moreno?
Luke shakes his head. Emily walks closer to him.
Emily: Was it Faison?
Luke lets out a gurgle and nods. Lucky helps Luke back down in bed. Emily gasps and begins to panic. She feels an arm around her, and turns around and sees Tiffany Donelly. Emily hugs Tiffany. Sean shakes Jason's hand.
Jason: I guess you heard, huh?
Sean: Yes, what do we do next? We can't send in Tiffany or any one of us.
Carly: (from behind them) Oh, yes, you can.
Max holds Carly's hand tighter. Carly strokes his head lovingly then kisses him on the forehead. Max releases her hand and falls back to sleep. Carly sneaks away from him. Jason shakes his head.
Carly: (insistent) Look, Jason, whoever did this to Max is going to pay. If I can help, then even better.
Jason: It wouldn't work. First, we have to find out where he is, then we have to get someone on the inside. He might recognize you. You were in our wedding, Carly.
Tiffany: Not necessarily. We could do something with her.
Carly: Well, what are we waiting for?

Robin Morgan sits on the bed staring at a picture of Jason holding Stone. She thinks back to the first time she put Stone in Jason's arms. Jason held the tiny baby in his arms and Robin swore she could see a change in him. Like instantaneously, he knew. He knew the baby in his arms needed him and would count on him for the rest of it's life. Robin remembers seeing the tears form in his eyes. The mixture of fear, sadness, and joy. It was one of the most beautiful moments in Robin's life. Now she was here in this place, away from both of them. Robin fights the urge to cry. She won't give them the satisfaction. The door opens and Leo Faison walks in. Robin conceals the picture under her pillow.
Leo:We will be leaving shortly.
Robin: No chance you will tell me where is there?
Leo:Why not, dear wife? Quebec.
Robin: Get this through your head. I am your prisoner. I will never be your wife.
Leo: You are my wife, Robin, til death due us part, remember?
Leo starts to leave then stops.
Leo: Then again, not even death could break my bond to you.

Jason and Sean stand in the hallway of the hospital.
Jason: Luke, Max, and Ian will be moved back to Port Charles today.
Sean: So I assume Lucky and Emily will be going back with Luke. Good call.
Jason: I couldn't risk a repeat of last time. Luke needs them. Now as for Carly--
Sean: We need her, Jason. There is no one else, Cesar knows what Tiffany looks like. The chances of Carly getting away with it are better, unless you want to hire someone?
Jason: No, I can't risk that.
Sean: Look, if it would make you feel better, Stone can stay with Anna and her sitter. She is very good.
Jason: Thank you for the offer, but Stone needs special attentions that a normal sitter couldn't handle.
Sean: (nods) Of course, how could I forget?

Jennifer comes back downstairs dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. AJ looks at her, embarrassed.
AJ: I'm sorry. My mom said she would watch Virgina tonight, but then she got an emergency page and Emily's in Brooklyn.
Jennifer: I admire you, AJ.
AJ: Why?
Jennifer: Well, you could have left her with any one of your countless Quartermaine servants. But you took the responsibility.
AJ: My daughter's not going to grow up like I did. She's going to know she is always her father's first priority.
Jennifer: Well, you're off to a good start.
Just then, AJ feels Virginia's diaper.
AJ: Not that good of a one.
From upstairs you hear a baby cry.
Jennifer: You got that right.
Jennifer starts to walk upstairs, the two babies crying echoing throughout the room.
AJ: How's this for a first date?
Jennifer laughs and heads up the stairs to a cranky Stone.

Robin Morgan sits in her new quarters in Quebec. She pulls out the picture if Jason and Baby Stone again. The door opens and reveals a skinny man with beady eyes standing there with some towels.
Man: Madame, I am Carlton. I will be your personal assistant.
Robin: (snippy) You mean my male maid?
Man: Yes I suppose.
Robin: And let me guess why. In case I try to take off, a man could hold me down a little better?
Man: Yes, madame, I suppose.
Robin: Do you know I am a prisoner here?
Man: Yes, madame, I do.
Robin: So how can any person work for someone like that?
Man: For you, Madame.
Robin: For me?
Man: Ye,s Mrs. Morgan.
Robin looks at the man confused. She looks much closer and gasps. The man covers her mouth. Robin looks at him closely.
Robin: What the--? Carly?!?
Carly: Shh.. That's Carlton. Now we need to make this look convincing.
Carly takes Robin over by the table. Robin catches on and knocks down the porcelain lamp. Takes Carly's hands and manipulates them to look as if she has Robin in some elaborate hold. Robin starts screaming and pretends to struggle.
Carly: Where'd you learn this hold?
Robin: (mumbles) Tell Jason to tell you about my family someday.
Robin resumes her screaming; two guards plus Leo come in.
Carly: (in her man's voice) She tried to hit me over the head.
Carly releases Robin. Robin stands there.
Leo: Very good Carlton. Wife, this is not healthy for you. Now, everyone leave. Carlton, will you get my wife some water?
Carly: Yes sir.
Leo tries to touch Robin. Robin slaps his hand away.
Leo: We must work on your attitude.
Leo leaves. Carly hands Robin a glass of water.
Robin: (whispers) Tell Jason I love him.
Carly: (whispers) Jason says he'll see you soon.
Carly walks out of the room. Robin lies in bed. Leo stops Carly on the way down the stairs.
Leo: Is everything under control?
Carly: Yes sir.
Leo: Good work.
Carly: Thank you sir.

Jennifer sits in the park with two guards, playing with Stone on a blanket. Jagger walks up to them.
Jagger: I didn't know children of the mob were allowed to do normal things like this.
Jennifer ignores Jagger and looks down at Stone.
Jennifer: And I thought it was going to be such a lovely day, Stone.
Jagger: Really, I came to see Stone.
Jennifer: Detective Cates, I will not let you use this baby as a way to bring down Mr. Morgan or get closer to me.
Jagger: I have no ulterior motives, really.
They hear a voice behind them. It Mike, looking very angry.
Mike: Now if you believe that, I've got some great ocean front property in Arizona.
Jennifer looks at Jagger.
Jennifer: I think you should leave.
Jagger: I will if you agree to meet me later.
Jennifer: (smiles) I see, well in that case, stay.
Jagger smiles triumphantly. Mike looks shocked. Jennifer bends down and picks up the blanket.
Jennifer: I'll leave. Seeing as you will be standing here quite awhile.
Jagger looks embarrassed. Mike contains his laughter as Jennifer hands Stone to him.
Jennifer: I'm hungry
Mike: My treat.
Jennifer, Mike, and the two guards leave Jagger standing there.
Jagger: Well, Ms. Reeves. You win this round.

Jason Morgan paced the hotel room. He couldn't believe this was happening again. It was like some sort of nightmare being played over and over again in his head. He wishes he could talk to Sonny. But he knew by the look in Sonny's eyes when he left that Sonny would never be back again. Sean walks into Jason's suite. Sean face looks somber. Jason looks at him concerned.
Jason: What is it?
Sean: Jason, it's Sonny.
Jason: What?
Sean hands him a newspaper. Jason looks down and tears fall down his eyes. There staring back at him was a picture of Sonny. With the caption. "Reputted Mobster found dead in Puerto Rico Hotel". Jason wipes away his tears.
Sean: I'm sorry kid.
Jason: I need to call Mike.

Mike and Jennifer sit with Stone. Stone coos happily. AJ walks up to the table. Jennifer smiles.
Mike: Have a seat, A.J.
Jennifer (smiling): Hey A.J.
A.J. smiles weakly. He turns his attention toward Mike.
A.J.: Mike, I was reading the paper today when I saw this.
Just then Jennifer's cell phone rings.
Jennifer: Reeves here.
Jason: Jennifer I need you to find Mike Corbin and......
Jason hears a giant sob on Jennifer's end. Jennifer looks up and sees Mike clutching the newspaper A.J. just handed him.
Mike: MICHAEL!
Mike cries harder as A.J. and Jennifer try to console him.

Robin walks down the stairs. Leo and Cesar sit at the table. Robin sits down. Leo walks up to Robin throws down the same newspaper that Jason and Mike saw. Robin does her best to hold her composure.
Leo: Tsk, tsk, dear Robin. Now, let's see, you tried to escape twice? Am I correct? So there's one good friend. Now who's next? Maybe Mrs. Donelly?
Robin stands up and picks up a knife.
Cesar calls from the other end.
Cesar: Should that count as three, my son?
Leo: No, we'll let that one go. If you're good, dear wife, we might not take another friend's life. But that will depend on you.
Robin: What do I have to do.
Leo: That's simple.
He hands Robin a pen and paper.
Leo: Write Mr. Morgan and tell him your HIV has progressed to full blown AIDS and that you have left to go and die on your own.
Robin: He'll never believe you.
Leo: Leave that to me, my dear. Just make it touching and as true as possible.
Robin takes the pen and paper and walks out of the room.
Ceasar: Everything is working out perfectly.
Leo: Yes, I know.
Robin goes to her room and breaks down in tears.
Robin (whispering):Sonny what have I done? I'm so sorry.

Lucky Spencer sits at the hospital with his father; Luke looks weakly at his son. He motions to Lucky to hand him a pen and paper. Lucky gives it to his dad. Luke scribbles something down. Lucky looks at him shocked.
Lucky: Dad, are you sure?
Luke nods.
Lucky: Whatever you want, dad.
Lucky gets up and runs out of the room. Later Emily walks in to check on Luke and sees the note Luke has written.
Emily: Not without me.
Emily drops the note; on it we see written "Go help, Junior".

Somewhere in South America a lady lies in a bed. Her head hurts and everything looks groggy. She tries to remember how she got here but can't, all she remembers are the voices plotting something so sinister she wanted to jump up and scream. She has to get out of here. She has to warn everyone.
Lady (whispers weakly): Ro...Robin...

A man sat in a garden trying his best not to give in to his grief. A woman comes up behind him. She staggers a bit. That's to be expected, though, everytime she tries to her captors drug her. She sees the man sitting on the stone bench, she puts her hands on his shoulders and hugs him from behind. The man responds and holds her hands. This is the first time his face is revealed. We see that it Sonny Corinthios.
Sonny: I was just thinking that's all. I miss my life in Port Charles. I wonder about my son. I know he is in good hands but I still wonder what he looks like if he has his mother's eyes or her smile. Will he understand why I am not there? I know you could understand that. But how do you deal with it?
The women starts to take a seat next to Sonny. When she sits it's revealed that's it Anna Devane Scorpio.
Anna: I don't know. I think the my daydreams of Robin have sustained me.
Sonny: She's great, you know that?
Anna nods and smiles holding back her tears. When she first woke, up she didn't know where she was. She thought the people around her were lying when they told her it was 1997. She recooperated well. The young man that cared for her gave her the best of everything but there was something extremely eerie about it all. It was only when she started asking about going home that she realized something was wrong. That's when she saw him, Cesar Faison. It was he that told her that her beloved Robert was dead. She tried to escape but to no avail. It was a little awhile later that Cesar brought her her "present". Someone to keep her company who had first hand information on her daughter: Sonny Corinthios. She heard all about Robin and Stone. The AIDS and HIV and how Robin got it. Jason and baby Stone. Robin and Jason's wedding. Anna had tripled her efforts to escape. But they started using more extreme methods to keep her there by drugging her and locking her in a room. Anna had deduced that whatever the plan was that Faison father and son had for her was coming to a head. All she could do was bide her time. Sonny looked at Anna and squeezes her hand; he was shocked to see how much Robin looks like Anna. Anna smiles.
Anna: You know, you have been my greatest comfort in these past couple of months?
Sonny: It's the same for me. I thought I couldn't tell anyone about Brenda and here you are.
Sonny lets go of her hand, his face changing as he sees Cesar and two guards walk up to them. Cesar gives Anna a peck on the cheek. This angers Sonny almost to a level that shocks him. Anna does her best to hold back the disgusted expression on her face.
Cesar: Anna my love. I have another present for you.
Two more guards appear as they escort Anna and Sonny into a small room . There is a small monitor on in the wall. Cesar turns on the screen. On it is an image of Robin struggling with one of the guards. Anna turns and lunges toward Cesar; two guards hold her back as two more come in to restrain Sonny.
Anna: You bastard! Let my daughter go!
Sonny also does his best to get at Cesar but Cesar just laughs. The guards position Sonny and Anna to watch the screen. Robin continues to struggle with the guard. Leo enters the room. Robin looks at him and spits in his face. Cesar only laughs harder at this.
Cesar: So much like her mother. Don't worry, my love, all will unfold shortly.
Robin looks at Leo. Leo just smiles viciously then hands her a picture and walks out. In the picture she sees an image of someone standing in a garden. This picture seems almost as if the person in the picture was intentionally blurred as to make out a positive ID. Robin looks more closely and her face turns white.
Robin: (mutters) It can't be. Mom?
Leo looks at Robin.
Leo: Ready to cooperate?
Robin: Was it my Mom?
Leo: So many questions.
Leo drops other picture she looks and sees who it is. Robin's heart jumps to her throat.
Robin: Sonny.
Leo: Yes my dear. Wouldn't it be a shame if that precious boy you're raising knew you where the reason his father died.
She immediately started to attack him, crying and wailing as she did. Anna and Sonny watched their faces contorted in agony. Anna turned to Cesar.
Anna: For the love of God please stop this!!!!
Leo pushed her away. Robin crumbled to the floor. Anna touched the screen, looking at her daughter. She let out a silent cry. Sonny lunged at Cesar but guards held him back.
Sonny: You've had your fun stop this!!!
Cesar reached for Anna.
Cesar: My love don't cry. You'll be with her soon.
Anna: (sobbing uncontrollably) Ple...Please anything you want. Anything just let me see my baby.
Anna no longer cared for her own life; she could be in this prison forever if she could be with her daughter one more time. If it meant she could save her. The door opened, Anna pushed the Cesar out of the way and ran down the hall. She knocked yet another guard out of the way. She turned the corner just in time to see Leo walk out of Robin's room. She pushed past him and leapt to Robin. Robin looked up and blinked hard-- it really was her.
Robin: Mama?
Anna began to cry.
Anna: Yes baby. It's me, I'm sorry.
Just then four guards stormed the room. Robin and Anna held onto each other for dear life. Four more guards came in and began to pry them apart. They both screamed and wailed, kicking and stratching at the guards.
Robin: Mama!!!
Anna: No damn you!!!
They dragged Anna out of the room. Robin fought hard trying to push past the guards, both of them crying in agony.
Robin: Please god No!! Don't take her again!!!
The guards pushed Robin back as her door slid shut. Robin once again crumpled to the ground. Her body racked with sobs. The guards injected Anna with something as her body went limp. Sonny looked at Cesar trying to contain himself. His insides turned in pain.
Sonny: Damn you, what do you want from us!!!
Cesar: In due time, Mr. Corinthios.
Leo walked in. Sonny swung at him. Leo turned to him angrily.
Leo: In case you didn't hear my father. You will learned in due time.
Cesar: Life is funny, wouldn't you say Mr. Corinthios. This whole thing started with a simple plan. Make Robin and her Mother pay. But I underestimated the good citizens of Port Charles. Now there is so much vengence running through my veins for so many people, it's exhilarating.
Leo: First things first. Jason Morgan. He will pay first. He'll lose his loving wife and his best friend, even his best friend's son.
Sonny: You go near my boy I swear I will make you pay.
Cesar: Now Mr. Corinthios, I understand what a man would do for the love of a boy.
Leo: Speaking of sons.
Cesar let out a dasterdly laugh.
Cesar: Yes of course. Never fear Mr. Corinthios. We have more male companionship for you.
A guard walked Sonny down the hall to his room. He saw a person slumped in the corner. He walked closer. The person looked badly beaten. His heart beat faster when he saw who it was.
Sonny: Lucky......
