THE X-FILES
Federal Bureau of Investigation Case Files which are unsolvable due to paranormal or unexplainable events. Files of this description are filed under "X" in the filing cabinet!
THE AGENTS
Two agents work in the X-Files Division, Agent Fox Mulder and Agent Dana Scully. Mulder is the division head.
AGENT FOX MULDER
Lost his sister when just 12 years old. Haunted him his whole life, believed her to have been abducted by aliens. Graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Psychology then joined the bureau and became a profiler with the Violent Crimes Section (VCS) where he was nicknamed "Spooky" for his extraordinary profiling skills. Discovered the X-Files and left VCS to persue his interest in it, believing it to be the key to finding his still missing sister. Was assigned a partner early on in his crusade, Agent Dana Scully.
AGENT DANA SCULLY
Has two brothers and one sister who is deceased. Graduated from University of Maryland and became a doctor where she chose forensic pathology as her specialist area. Joined the bureau and taught at quantico for a short time before being called on to partner Fox Mulder in the X-Files Division, her assignment to basically "Debunk" the X-Files with her scientific knowledge. She is yet to do so.
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR WALTER SKINNER
Mulder and Scully must put all their cases before Skinner before they are permitted to follow up on it. Skinner is sometimes the enemy, sometimes the friend.
CIGARETTE SMOKING MAN
CSM is the ultimate bad guy in the lives of Mulder and Scully, always three steps ahead of them. He is connected to Samantha Mulder's disappearance, Scully's abduction and the stroke of Mulder's mother.
ALEX KRYCEK
Once a russian spy, now works alone, making him a feared man. Linked to the disappearance of Scully, the death of Bill Mulder and the death of Melissa Scully.
SAMANTHA MULDER
The fire behind Mulder's passion for the truth, she disappeared at the age of 8 from her home when Mulder was looking after her. There have been times when we are led to believe she is alive and well and times when we are led to believe she died.
