See the roadside sign for the famous Rt. 66 "sirup factory."
SnoCap
A great ice cream/burger joint along 66 in Arizona.
Cadillac Ranch
Pretty Caddy's all in a row in a Texas field. The famous Rt.66 "art" landmark.
The Open Road
Going nowhere in Oklahoma. Most roads on the Route look exactly like this!
Wigwam Village
See our personal tee pee and the truckster in Arizona's finest motel
Bob Waldmire
Livin' in a van nowhere near a river. Sorry it's so small!
U Drop Inn
Art deco architecture at its finest in Shamrock, Texas. Sadly, it's just another abandoned business along Route 66.
Big Texan Steak Ranch
Check out the live rattlesnakes at this yummy Amarillo, TX steakhouse. A Mother Road must-see.
The El Rancho Hotel
Here you can see the lobby of this Rt.66 landmark. It's decorated with plenty of autographed pics of Hollywood stars of yesteryear, as well as antlers galore!
Bob's Place
Here is a photo of Bob Waldmire's "Route 66 Visitor's Center." If you travel the Mother Road, make this stop your first priority. Check out the meditation garden out front.
Illinois Stretch
Here's a photo of a stretch of old Route 66 through Illinois. The road is in really bad shape, but we drove it anyway.

All photographs on this page were taken by Louisa Moore or Matt Kreutzer during their really cool cross-country road trips in 1996, 1997 and 1998. You may use any of my photographs on your personal pages as long as you give appropriate credit. Thanks!
