South of the Border Sign
Notice the large sombrero-shaped tower in the background

Wisconsin

World's Largest Cheese
See Wisconsin's self-proclaimed "Largest Cheese in the History of Mankind." This is only a huge replica cheese, however. The real cheese was eaten at the 1964 World's Fair

Paul Bunyan and Babe
A giant version in Eau Claire Wisconsin

Ohio

History of Cheese Mural
This exciting mural in Ohio depicts the history of Amish cheesemaking

Giant Rubber Stamp
The world's largest in Cleveland, OH

Big Texan Steak Ranch
Check out the live rattlesnakes at this yummy Amarillo, TX steakhouse. A Mother Road must-see.

Art deco architecture at its finest in Shamrock, Texas. Sadly, it's just another abandoned business along Route 66.

New Mexico

Blue Swallow Motel
Beautiful old hotel in Tucumcari, N.M.

The El Rancho Hotel
Here you can see the lobby of this Rt.66 landmark. It's decorated with plenty of autographed pics of Hollywood stars of yesteryear, as well as antlers galore!

Highway 666
Near Gallup, New Mexico sits the "Devil's Highway."

Missile Range Signs
One of the "glowing" signs on the road to White Sands, New Mexico.

By the ghostown of Rhyolite, Nevada sits an abandoned artists' colony, complete with this weird sculpture

Minnesota

Mall of America
A shopper's paradise near Minneapolis MN. I felt right at home here.

Everyone loves this Atlantic City, NJ landmark

South Dakota
