Well, this is my Quantum Leap page. I LOVE Quantum Leap maybe more than the Monkees! I don't have cable though, and so I can't watch the reruns!! WAAAAAHHHH!! I really haven't seen alot of the episodes, but what I HAVE seen I think are AWESOME!!! The show is sooooo coool! I just got and finished one book and am starting another. The first one was cool! A little weird to read. Took too long! ROTFLMAO I have bought a few episodes, but the one I REALLY wanna see is the one where Sam and Al switch places! Right after the episode entitled "Shock Theater". I have that one on tape and have seen it a few times but NEVER the one after it! Grrrrr. Oh well.
Anyway, the basic plot of this show (shortened CONSIDERABLY) is that Dr. Sam Beckett, a physicist and genius (he has a photographic memory), has built a kinda time machine in order to try to visit past events in his own life (aka Quantum Leaping). But the Project, as it was called, was about to lose funding, and so Sam Leaped immaturely and was trapped in time. In addition, the original goal was not fufilled and Sam Leaped into OTHER ppl (Sam's "AURA" was left in the future in the "waiting room" and while he leaped into a person in the past's "aura", they leaped into his in the future. This meant Sam looked like the Leapee, and the Leapee like Sam). Anyway, Sam's friend, Al, was able to communicate with Sam through the use of a connection thru Ziggy and an Imaging Chamber, in which he appeared to Sam as a hologram which only he could see and hear (except children and animals... and in one case, mental patients). It turned out that in order to Leap again, Sam had to save a person or change their life through the person he had leaped into. Sound complicated? It is! Took me a few shows to get this! Also Sam has amnesia and every now and then gets parts of his memory back, while losing other parts on different Leaps. Cool huh? Actually that would be a drag. But that is the plot and it is a VERY cool and well made show!
