Dawson's Creek is a great coming of age teen drama, that follows the lives of four teenagers, Pacey, Jen, Joey, and Dawson Leary, who is the focus of the show. It all takes place in a small town called Capeside, and captures the trials of life that every teen faces. Dawson Leery, Joey Potter, and
Pacey Witter are age-old friends who have lived in Capeside
for quite some time. Jennifer Lindley is a mysterious girl with a
troubled past who recently moved from New York to start a
new life. Jennifer finds three friends, Dawson, Pacey, and Joey.
The series is about the new foursome and how they go through
their problems together, whether they help each other out or get
angry at each other. This is nothing like any other teen show you have seen. With great stories and music this is the best new show on television in my opinion. Created by Kevin Williamson the same guy who did the Scream movies, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and the Halloween H20.
Second season, two new characters enter Capeside and quickly join our friends. Andie has captured the heart of Pacey Witter, and Jack has come in-between Joey and Dawson. This year sees the Death of Abby Morgan, the end of Dawson and Joey being an item, and finally, Jack being de-closeted.
Third season, one new character enters Capeside and provides much controversy. Eve is Jen's half sister and this provides a few dilemmas for Dawson. Jen goes through relationship Turmoil with young beau Henry. Andie reclaims her mental state and breaks up with Pacey after he discovers she cheated on him. In the middle of the season Dawson becomes angered, and loses interest in perusing a relationship with Joey, he asked Pacey to watch over her. Pacey develops feelings for Joey who after a few episodes realizes that she feels the same way; they fall in love and crush Dawson. Joey and Pacey leave Capeside for a summer on the sea.
Season four saw the last days in Capeside, the departure of Andie, Pacey and Joey's relationship; rise and decline, as well as some other relationships. Dawson and Pacey's sister Gretchen had a short lived time together. Joey lost her virginity to Pacey. Jack further explored aspects of his homosexuality. The Gang graduated, Pacey just barely, and they all moved from Capeside, to go their seperate ways into university... yeah right, look for them all to be reunited in college
The fifth season of the show departed from familiar Capeside and found the gang in Boston. It was a difficult year of transitions for the gang, new city new lives; in addition to Mitch being killed. This season saw the development of each of the members, maturing and growing, discovering themselves. Joey through school, Dawson for realizing his dream and coping with a death, Jen in herself, Jack went through social pressures and personal growth and Pacey found himself a gourmet; and falling in love with the newest cast member Audrey.
The sixth and final season of the show began to tie up some loose ends created during the run of the show, while leaving some untouched. Joey and Dawson finally slept together although any hopes of pursuing a relationship were quickly tabled. Pacey and Audrey quickly ended their relationship. Pacey ends the season by resurrecting the lighthouse and rekindling an old flame. Joey befriends a fellow employee at her new job and they have a short relationship. She travels around the world and makes a decisive decision concerning Dawson and Pacey. Jen has a busy year; she works on the college radio station, dates CJ, deals with her Grams' failing health, has a child of her own and concludes the season with her own untimely end. Jack has a difficult year but concludes it with a steady relationship with Pacey’s brother Doug.
