*JUNE* *5ive are set to headline the pop day of MTV Ibiza 2000 along with Geri Halliwell, a two day music festival in San Antonio in July.
It kicks off on the 14th of July, with an all night dance party.
Saturday 15 July will mark the first time an Ibiza event has included a day devoted solely to pop, with six hours of chart music under the stars at Es Pedra (The Rock), a purpose built site in a quarry on the outskirts of San Antonio. Ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and boy band Five will headline the concert, with other pop acts to be confirmed in coming weeks.

* Billie Piper has formed a "close friendship" with Robbie Williams' flat mate Jonathan Wilkes - and it started before she split with Ritchie Neville. British newspaper "The Sun" claims the 17-year-old may have met Jonathan through her record label - as he's signed to the same one. Billie has been quoted as saying that "there certainly was no one else involved" when she broke up with Ritchie last month." But it is believed that love blossomed between Billie and Jonathan before the end of her 18-month relationship with handsome Ritchie.-MTV Asia

*In an article in the July edition of Sky magazine Billie Piper talks about her much-publicised relationship and break up with Ritchie from Five. While Ritchie does the same in the Daily Star.
We all know now that Rich and Billie have split up - but here is some of what she had to say in an feature in Sky magazine. As the article was started before the break she talks about their relationship and how she trusted him when he is out touring etc. When asked if Ritchie ever wears make up - she said:
"..he's just got a really good complexion, really red lips and really blue eyes- his eyes are freakish blue. It upsets me when people say things about him because in some respects he's such a typical bloke and for any man to be accused of wearing make-up.."
And then the article follows up on the break up:
"..it was good while it lasted, but its over now. It's amazing how interested people are, you'd think nobody ever split up the way everyone has gone on about it"
Meanwhile, Ritchie talks about what he's going to do now he is free and single. In an article in the Daily Star (13 Jun 2000)he says this about Billie: "She's been linked with a few people and I wish her well. It won't be long for me either. I'm going to have fun being a bachelor boy again."
Although he is happy about the split- Ritchie does miss some things about being in a relationship . He said "I am very much a relationship kind of guy. I like being in love, having that special someone...and you can't choose who you fall for. If you click with someone, whether it's a celeb or someone who workds in a shop, then you just go with it."

CD:UK BAckstage Gossip!!

*Scott Five got some sympathy from girlfriend Kerry when he fell down the cd:uk stairs! But that's not the only reason he was limping - Scott also had a huge cut on his foot. Accident prone or what?! Still, at least Scott's got something to cheer him up - a new mixed Border Collie called Chandler. 'He's wicked, I really miss him when I'm away,' Scott sniffed. But J wasn't impressed by Scott's choice of pup. 'Everyone else buys pedigree dogs but he didn't care what type of dog it was. All he cared about was what he was gonna call it!'

*Mel C and J were all over each other in the cd:uk café and at one point J even fondled Mel's bottom. Ooh, saucy! Everyone was speculating about whether or not the relationship was for real, but from the looks of things they're certainly more than just good friends. Strangely, J didn't seem very interested when they showed Mel's video on cd:uk, but maybe that's because he's had a private screening.

*Ritchie Neville agreed to lie about dumping girlfriend Billie - to help her get to number one in the British charts! Ritchie says it was the teen sensation who dumped him by leaving a message on his mobile phone.

Record company bosses persuaded him to say he ended their 18-month fling because their separation was so close to the release of her new single "Day And Night".
They wanted to gain the sympathy of 17-year-old Billie's army of teenage fans who would then go and buy her record.

He says, "I was under pressure not to tell the truth about our split because certain people in the record industry didn't want to jeopardise Billie's chances of getting to No 1. I didn't want to mess up her chances either because I still love her, So I was forced to tell everyone it was me who dumped her but it wasn't true and I'm glad I can set the record straight."

Neville says he was devastated when he came home from his US tour to find Billie had moved out of their London flat. He adds, "I rang to tell I wanted to see her when I got home. She wasn't at the airport and wasn't at the flat when I got home. I couldn't believe it. I was really ill and all I wanted to do was see her."

i expect that loads of you will already have read stuff about me and rich they say all good things must come to an end and, without any big fireworks, me and rich *have* decided to call it a day we've spent so much time apart recently cos of our work schedules this really is the most sensible decision but we'll stay friends some of you have already mailed me to ask if i'm ok--thanks SO MUCH for being such caring people!!! you're the best!!--but i promise i really am totally fine...so don't worry (be happy!)

*'IT WAS HORRIBLE'
Billie Piper has spoken for the first time about the death threat that ended her romance.

The singer received a number of death threats while she was dating 5ive star Ritchie Neville - one Five fanatic said she would slaughter her with an axe.
Billie and Ritchie split last month after a year-and-a-half long relationship.
The threat arrived by letter and left her too scared to go out alone.
She says, " It was horrible. This girl wrote that if she saw me in the street she'd chuck an axe at my head."

*Five heartthrob J is guilty of messing Spice Girl Mel C around and two-timing her -- ever since they slept together for the first time in March.
The pair have remained coy about their reported romance until June 7 -- when J chose a British TV appearance to reveal the true situation to host Jo Whiley.

He confessed, "I have to hold my hands up. I put out a few wrong signals for a while. I steamed in there a bit full on. So I've backed off a bit because I'm not ready for anything major yet. I've just come off seeing someone on-and-off. I can't say I'm not seeing her, and I can't say I am seeing her properly."

When Whiley accused him of messing her around, J laughed and said "no", before admitting, "I'm trying to convince myself now. But there is an understanding there. I just need a bit of time for myself and stuff to sort my own head out."

But J did leave viewers in no doubt about one thing -- the couple did sleep together back in March.

He explains, "I met Melanie for the first time at The Brit Awards. Then we sort of disappeared back to her place. We got up to what boys and girls get up to -- had a little bit of fun."

5ive singer Ritchie Neville has ended his 15 month relationship with teen songstress Billie Piper.
Speaking to The Sun, Ritchie explained 'since the band has got bigger we've spent more time out of the country and Billie and I just grew apart'.
'It just wasn't happening anymore. I couldn't carry on and dumped her' he added. The couple first met during the recording of a children's TV programme in 1998.
Poor Billie! I also heard from a friend that Ritchie has dumped Billies for another girl! I'm not sure if this is true though! So dont go spreading it around!

* Poor Ritchie has been sent home to England during their South America concert tour due to chicken pox! Scott sang all Ritchie Solo Parts, except for his 'Invincible' solo part that was sung by Sean, at the concerts.
