NEWSLETTER
FALL 1997
Greetings,
As always. I hope this finds you well, growing and prospering. I realize it has been quite awhile since I sat down to dash off a newsletter. I know for many of my clients it was a full summer filled with change- some desired and some totally unexpected. Globally there was also a lot of loss over the summer. I was once told that as we approach the year two thousand we will all experience a reordering of priorities and a cleansing. I think the deaths of Princess Diana and Mother Theresa may have struck so hard because we exist in a world that has seemed to have lost its ability to care. Perhaps the loss of two individuals who understood that we are here to care for one another was meant to draw our attention to that fact. Both individuals were remarkably human in their approach to the world. Events that stun the world indeed get our attention. Hopefully we don’t soon forget the lessons and the opportunities carried with such events.
Much has changed in my own life of late as well. You may have noticed the absence of a newsletter and the lack of traveling. Late last year I began what has proved to be a wonderful experience. I have always felt that, ultimately, technology could bring the world closer together. As I began to read with passionate interest what was happening with digital technologies and interactive television, I began to get an idea of what the future could be relative to education, community building and entertainment. I wanted to be a part of that. Actually, more than a part, I wanted to be a leader in the creative use of these new technologies. I began to envision what I could to contribute to a nascent industry. Let’s just say I saw the possibilities and I went for it.
In December of last year I founded Tandem Intermedia with partners John C. Schwartz and Jeff King. After advising many CEOs over the years I suddenly found myself a corporate person and standing in their shoes. And, the roles have reversed themselves with some of my long time clients becoming my mentors as I sail into what for me are uncharted waters.
Now it is as if everything I have learned and everything I have taught is being brought to bear in the circumstances. Tandem Intermedia is the first development company wholly devoted to digital interactive television. Some days I feel like I am selling ice trays to people who don’t have freezers but its still remarkably satisfying to see an opportunity and build something that has never been built before and walk the frontier. The company is doing very well and you are likely to see some announcement in the press in the not to distant future.
I have always said that I would never stop doing readings and that is true. I fully intend to make time to continue my metaphysical work. It is and always has been a very important part of my life. I will always be available by phone but chances are I will be traveling less and less and therefore not keeping the schedules in New York, Philadelphia/Atlantic City, Dallas, Hawaii, and Canada that I used to. Like always, I will send a note if I plan on coming to town. I hope however that you will consider a session by phone just as valuable. I also hope to continue writing these newsletters as well as contributing articles to Science of Mind Magazine; and maintain the web site as well (http://www.oocities.org/HotSprings/2540).
It’s hard to believe that I have been doing readings for 16 years. The time has gone by so quickly and I have learned so much from my clients. I am truly grateful and honored to have had the opportunity to be a part of your life.
If you have any questions about all this feel free to call me at 818-763-3877 or email me at peaceful@ix.netcom.com. If you would like to be put on the electronic mailing list please send me an email with the word "SUBSCRIBE" in the subject heading.
Sincere thanks for your referrals and your support of my work over the years.
Warm regards,
Brian
