To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.
-- Winston Churchill

The diffusion of knowledge is the only guardian of true liberty.

My main goal is to become rich and powerful, but I guess healthy and happy would be good too.
Currently, I am a philosophy graduate student at Oklahoma State University (my undergraduate degree was in Economics). Once I finish my Masters here at OSU, I will hopefully be moving on to Law School.
Besides Law, Philosophy and Economics, I am quite interested in the areas of Literature, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Religion, Physics and Biology.

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

Taste is simply the art of appreciating the little things, but since the pleasures of life depends on a multitude of little things such concern is not unimportant. It is by means of them that we come to enrich our lives with the good things at our disposal...
-- Jean Jacques Rousseau

If there is not education of men's purpose, if there is no ethical basis at the foundation of education,
then the more we know, the smarter villains and livelier crooks we may be.

			I am the unquenchable Fire,
			The center of all energy,
			The stout heroic heart.
			I am truth and light,
I hold power and glory in my sway.
			My presence
			Disperses dark clouds
			To tame the Fates.

			I am the Dragon.

Sincerity has nothing to do with whether a person is right or wrong on an issue. Sincerity is not the test of truth. If something is dubious, believing it "harder" doesn't make it any truer. Sincerity, like conscience, is a reliable guide to action or belief only when it is joined with intelligence. No fact was ever altered by believing it wasn't one, no matter how sincerely.
-- William J. Bennett

Believe those who are seeking the truth. Doubt those who find it.

Man is violent and the ideal of nonviolence is only an immature approach to violence. What is important is to face the violence, understand it and go beyond it, and not invent an escape, an ideal called "nonviolence" which has no reality whatsoever.
-- Jiddu Krishnamurti
