Gene Childres
My brother was the most talented man when it came to creativity in building houses, furniture, machinery, you name it, and he could restore anything that did not work. He left a great legacy when he died from ALS on March 9,1999.
He was diagnosed last summer, 1998, and was holding his own until the last of February, 1999. He could not bear to lose his dignity, nor be unable to make his mind use those talented hands. It was just too much for him. ALS just ravaged his body in his last three weeks.
He was dearly loved by his family and sorely missed and will be as long as we live.
