Alberta Monitoring for Health 
  1. Those without private insurance are eligible. 

2. Those that must use insulin to manage diabetes. 

3. All eligible supplies supported through this agency are totalled and the individual is covered for 65 % of the total (up to an annual maximum of $350).

BC-Yukon  Pharmacare    1. 70% after initial $600 family deductible. (no limit). 

2. 100% for seniors (65+) after $200 family deductible.

Manitoba  Pharmacare    100% after annual deductible which is based on family income. 
New Brunswick Government    1. 100% for seniors (65+) under Senior Health Benefits Program  

 2. 100% under Human Resource Development - (for individuals who meet the criteria.)

Newfoundland  Government    1. Manufacturers cost plus markup of 33.3% for seniors (65+) who meet criteria for income supplement. 

2. Manufacturers cost plus markup of 33.3% for Social Assistance recipients.

Nova Scotia  Pharmacare     1. Seniors registered with Pharmacare (fee $210/annum) must pay 20% to maximum of $250/annum.  

2. Social services/Family benefits - free (income tested) or 20% co-pay to a maximum of $250/annum. 

NorthWest Territories  Government    100 %  
Ontario  Assistive Devices Program   $125/year - seniors (65+)
PEI  Government    100% for Social Assistance recipients (based on individual assessment).
Quebec  Government   1. 100% for adults under 65 and seniors (65+) without access to a group plan; premium payment depending on income, deductible and maximum contribution required. 

2. 100% for income security recipients; deductible and maximum contribution required. 

3. 100% for children under 18 years and spouseless full-time students 25 and under, who do not have access to a group plan.

Saskatchewan  Government    100% for Social Assistant recipients.
