DAY 1

10:00 am

Mulder lead Scully out of office quickly.

"Mulder… take it easy. Miss Thorn isn’t going to walk away."

He flashed her a bright smile and hit the button for the floor he wanted. They both leaned back against the wall of the empty elevator. After only a moment of movement the elevator jerked to a stop sending both agents tumbling to the floor. The lights inside the car immediately went out and the red emergency light blinked on. Scully looked down at Mulder from where she was straddling his hips.

"Sorry." She said softly. She starred down at him and they both swallowed thickly before she moved off of him. "What the hell happened?"

"We stopped." Mulder replied with a frown.

Scully turned to him and blinked a few times. "Thank you Mulder I’m aware of that. I want to know why the hell we stopped."

Mulder let out a breath. "Well this sucks." He leaned back against the wall again still seated.

Scully glared at him for being unhelpful and walked over to the access panel. She grabbed the emergency phone and reported the problem. She hung up the phone with a loud bang and started to pace the dark elevator. "They said they will work on it but all the elevators went out a minute ago and since it’s only you and me in here they have to start with the other, full elevators first."

Mulder watched her pace back and forth for a moment with a pout. "I really want to know why that woman died…"

Scully shot him an annoyed look and continued to pace.

"Scully will stand still!" Mulder stood up and took a hold of her shoulders to still her.

Suddenly there was a loud banging and the elevator dropped at least a floor sending both agents to the ground once again.
