Shani's Gifts

                    I want to thank all of my friends and web sisters for the gifts Shani recieved.  When I wrote to the Garden House and LOTH to announce that I had Shani's Story pages up, I never dreamed I would recieve such a response!
                    My main intention was to try and let people know about the fungus that Shani died from and to make the information available to the public so others didn't have to die the way Shani did.  You have all responded beyond my wildest dreams! 
                    These women have shown their love and kindness beyond friendship.  They have shown that there are, in our world; women who are conscious of others who are suffering and they are willing to go the extra mile to help out and rush to the aid of those who need them.  I am so proud to be a part of these two groups of women on the web; sisters in arms, holding each other up with love, kindness, and a thoughtful word or deed.  They practice random acts of kindness to all; regardless of race, color or creed.  Mothers in the way of the Mother of us all, our Mother Earth; who gives till it hurts and still keeps on giving.
                    I thank you sisters, one and all.  And I am proud to know you and be a part of you!

                    Fiona was the first to respond to my note.   I sent it to her first for the Fairy mailing list she has.  She sent this graphic for Shani, and wrote this in her guestbook...

                    " I wish I could make the pain and hurt go away, but being a mother, I know that is not possible.  All I can do is hold you in the warmth of Sisterhood and share it with you. "

                    Next I would like to tell you about a little piece of syncronisity!
                    A while back, I was reading one of the newsletters and found a message from one of the ladies in the group about a grandmother on the web she was doing a secret page for.  The grandmother in question was Alikat.  I went to work and created a graphic for Ali's page and sent it off.
                    This morning I got an E-mail from Ali with FIVE graphics  and this beautiful background set that you are looking at now!
                    Number one, I was astounded at her generosity and the fact that she had stayed up half the night doing this for Shani and her family.  Second, I was not looking forward to making another set for Shani, because it is terribly hard to work on her things for her.  Ali, you saved my life (sort-of, *grin*) by sending this background.  I can never repay you for the love you have shown, but be assured that if you need me?  I WILL BE THERE!
                    Here are the beautiful things Ali sent...
