As'ad Al-Hamad Dermatology Center  currently provides laser therapy under two broad categories:

A. Vascular.

B. Pigment.

In the Pigment category, 4 laser machines are available to provide therapy for tattoos, some pigmented nevi, and drug-induced pigmentation. These machines include: two Q-Switched Alexandrite, a Q-switched Nd:YAG, and  a Q-Switched Ruby laser.

A new Excimer laser machine has been added to provide therapy for some variants of psoriasis, vitiligo, and scars amongst other indications.

The Pigment section is run by one senior registrar (Dr. Kholoud Darwish) who supervises all the laser clinics , and 3 registrars, and is run 3 days per week.

Currently, the Pigment section is schedules as follows:

- Saturday Laser Clinic: Run by Dr. Amr Abdel-Salam (Registrar)

- Monday Laser Clinic: Run by Dr. Amr Abdel-Salam (Registrar) and Dr. Ra'afat Harbi (Registrar)

- Wednesday Laser Clinic: Run by Dr. Ra'afat Harbi (Registrar) and Dr. Ahmad Awadh (Registrar)

New Laser machines have been implemented in the Dermatological Surgery Unit.

These are ablative lasers and include:

- Co2 Laser.

- Erbium:YAG Laser.
