Welcome to...

10-31-01: Happy Halloween faithful, patient fans. There's an important announcement about SpecOps' future over at the forums. This website will reflect the changes the post talks about shortly. Expect regular updates to start up again in a couple weeks, too. Thanks again for your patience, guys, and let me say that I'm sorry the end result for SpecOps is not going to be exactly what any of us planned for...but it will still be worth it.

7-18-01: Hi, guys. I have an official annoucement over here that you all might wanna check out. No, SpecOps is not cancelled, but...well, just go give it a read and reply if you wish. Thanks.

3-30-01: What's this? Can it be? It is! It's an actual update! Seawolf and the gang are alive!!
Jeez...almost two months since you heard from me. I can't tell you how sorry I am...but I try in the latest news update. But I do a lot more than that...go read about the new stuff (yes, missions to play and other stuff!) to come in the very-near future.

2-7-01: A few people have recently asked what happened to a series of Episode I screenshots I used to have up. Somehow, when we transferred over to the new layout a while back, these pictures were lost. So now I've re-added the screenshots section for you all to re-enjoy. :P I also did some updating to the locations section, adding descriptions of the major regions of the Koprulu Sector and the first Zerg world.

2-5-01: I have added something else that I have wanted to give you all for a while, but only recently found a feasible place to do it. The SpecOps Forum is now online and ready for your questions! Something you've always wanted to ask Team SpecOps? Here's your chance. Head on over there and get chatting! :)

1-26-01: I've added a new section that I wanted to do for a long time but never got around to: an Episode I Locations section, giving a info and a brief history of several of the planets and locations that you will be seeing in Episode I (duh!). I will be added more locations in coming days.
As for news, Mason has yet to reappear. :( He has access to a computer from which he can get on the internet, but his computer, with the programs and files he needs to get his Mission Pack work done, is still being withheld by his evil stepfather. But the rest of us are still going. Derlin has recorded and sent the final version of the Kauflin sounds, and Calydor is almost done with his Kaldor sounds. Phoenix is putting some finishing touches on the StarGraft stuff. Lucid Iguana and another probably-soon-to-be-staffer are working on custom hybrid sprites and wireframes...details forthcoming. (You can expect to see at least one type of hybrid in the Mission Pack, unless something dreadful happens before then.) And I am putting the finishing touches on the missions themselves and still messing around with music. We're still working hard, guys.
That's about it for now. Enjoy the location stuff, and until next time, this is Seawolf, signing off.

1-21-01: A couple things. First off, Phoenix is "back". Turns out he was never actually gone, just unreachable. His e-mail service fuzzed out and I didn't have the new address, and we never seemed to meet up on ICQ (that whole silly time zone thing...ya know :P). But we finally met up again, I have his new e-mail addy, and all is good again. :)
The other thing is that I've touched up the Episode I heroes section, tweaking a couple of the old heroes (and moving a couple of them around). The main thing I did though was change Mark Brown's portrait into one that I think fits him better. As for his old portrait...it's been given to a new minor hero named Rob Burton, whose info is now up in the section.
As for the Mission Pack, things are progressing nicely, but Mason has yet to reappear. Hopefully he'll be back very shortly, as he said he probably would.
Until then, this is Seawolf, signing off.

1-13-01: Go read about the "newest" SpecOps character, Mark Brown, in the Episode I heroes section.

1-12-01: What's this? An update?! Yeah...go read the latest news post.

12-5-00: I've gotten in touch with everyone in the staff so far except for Calydor, and jobs have been re-distributed and we're all back to work. Though most of us will be busy with final exams the next week or two, we're devoting the time we have to getting the Mission Pack and, in turn, all of Episode I out. Finally. :P
Work on my end is going well, though it may be slowed significantly the next couple days as I finish off end of the semester projects and begin preparing for my finals next week.
I'll keep you all posted on any significant progress that I and/or the staff make, and until then, this is Seawolf, signing off.

11-30-00: Thanks to Derlin and Commander Leon for telling me what was wrong with the menu bar. Apparently Geocities is now case-sensitive, and the pics were lowercase when they should have been uppercase.
Mason and I are back in full swing with SpecOps...we're shooting to give you all the now five-mission Mission Pack as a nice Christmas present and have the second half of Episode I out by the time the next U.S. president is sworn in in January.
Right now I'm getting back in touch with the rest of the staff and getting all the wheels in motion again. When I know more, I'll let you all know. Until then, this is Seawolf, signing off.

11-20-00: Apologies and (finally!) some updates in the news.

10-17-00: There's a possible change of plans (for the better) regarding the Mission Pack (and all future SpecOps missions) decribed in the news.

10-15-00: Couple things. First off, I don't know why a lot of the pictures suddenly aren't working...most notably the ones in the menu bar. The HTML and Java stuff is still okay, so I'm assuming it's just Geocities misbehaving.
But that might not matter soon anyway. SpecOps will probably finally be moving to a new server soon...one that will have plenty of space for all the SpecOps downloads. I'm not sure of an exact timeframe yet, but the person that basically runs the server has assured me that we can make the move over there "very soon". More details on that (and the Mission Pack) once I get them, and until then, this is Seawolf, signing off.

10-11-00: There's a rather lengthy post about the upcoming Mission Pack in the news. Why don't you go give it a read?

9-29-00: I'm gonna be out of town this weekend with the marching band for their first performance. I'm getting really close to having the Mission Pack ready (I'm adding a few previously unplanned goodies to the maps...one reason it's taking a while), so hopefully I'll finally have that out to you guys early next week.
Until then, this is Seawolf, signing off.

9-27-00: "I love it when a plan comes together...."
We're still here and still working. Derlin has sent me the new Brockman portrait, though for now there's one less "fid" and "tlk" portrait, but I think that'll be fine until after the Mission Pack, don't you? Phoenix has become a Stargraft wiz and has done some REALLY cool things for the Terrans and the Zerg that I bet you all will really enjoy.
This time, it's me and ALL me that's holding things up. I have been stretched nearly to the breaking point lately with school, work, the marching band, Antioch Chronicles forum and IRC stuff (where I'm sure a good number of you know that I am quite active), real life worries and heartaches, and, of course, SpecOps. Some of this I've done to myself, and some is just God smacking me around a bit...for my own good, I'm sure. But darnit!...it's a tough road, ya know?!
Anyways, I am happy to say that the maps are, in and of themselves, essentially done. The bugs are all worked out and I'm just working on getting the musical stuff (as well as one pesky trigger that keeps laughing in my face) done, as well as perhaps a little more "prettifying" of the maps to make them more worth the wait. I am NOT going to set a positive deadline now, because every time I do I get smacked by another tidal wave, but I have a personal goal of a few days in mind.
Thank you once again for your limitless patience, and until next time, this is Seawolf, signing off.

9-18-00: Why me? WHY ME?!
Guess what? As has happened with seemingly every SpecOps-related project I have started before, I've had ten bzillion unexpected roadblocks pop up, including (but not limited to) a map that got completely hosed due to some bad Emerald patch building placement (I spent hours and HOURS just trying to keep the map from crashing SC and undo what I'd done), schoolwork and a misunderstood work schedule (LONG story there), and a blow to my personal life that has left me reeling (I'll just say this: love stinks :( ).
Assuming I can get my act together again soon, I am now shooting for this coming weekend as the release time for the Mission Pack. Of course, part of this depends on Phoenix and Derlin, too...we'll just see what happens. I am hoping for the best, and hoping no other complications come up between now and then (because frankly, I don't know how much more I can stand right now).
Anyway, keep the faith guys, and I apologize for the delay. I really mean that. Until next time, this is Seawolf, signing off.

9-8-00: Just wanted to let you all know that the Mission Pack is proceeding nicely, at least on my end. Derlin says that the portrait I want (an updated, non-wobbly Brockman port) probably won't be ready for a few more days, and Phoenix ran into some StarGraft trouble that slowed him down. So the portrait and patch will tack on a few more days of waiting. Sorry, guys. :(
As for me, things are going well. The three maps are essentially done. All that remains is typing in some more in-mission conversation, finishing two of the mission briefings, and adding in the music (the last of which is the only thing that will take any significant amount of time, but even that won't take very long). The biggest thing for me was the debugging, which I think I'm (almost) done with.
Anyways, keep checking back and I'll try to keep you all posted on the approximate release time. Until next time, this is Seawolf, signing off.

9-2-00: I've put Fenrir's bio and info up in the staff section. And here's the first couple samples of Fenrir's exclusive work: signature files for Phoenix, Mason, and me. :)

9-2-00: Just a couple little things. First off, it looks like the patch for the Mission Pack may have a few more StarGraft goodies than I originally thought (thanks largely to Phoenix). And I heard from Derlin...looks like there will, hopefully, be at least one portrait for the Pack. I'll put up more details on the Pack's progress soon.
For now, there's a couple things I wanted to announce. The first is that we have a new affiliate: Mendacious Sanctuary, a relatively new campaign being made by a guy by the name of Broken Icon. He's a nice guy, and his campaign looks like one to watch. So go check out his site!
The other announcement is that we have a new staffer! :) His name is Fenrir, though some know him as "Lucid Iguana".... *shrug* Anyways, he's gonna be doing some non-portrait graphics stuff for us (like splash screens and stuff), and he is really good. You should be able to see a few samples of his work in the Mission Pack. :)
That's it for now. Until next time, this is Seawolf, signing off.

8-28-00: More specifics on the "Episode I Teaser Mission Pack" are up in the news. Looking good so far, folks! :)

8-23-00: There's an update in the news about some Episode I stuff to be released soon! :) Interested? Then go give it a read!

8-14-00: Going away again, this time to Deep Creek Lake, a nice little vacation spot here in Maryland. I'll be back Thursday evening. And just a head's up...the week after that, Monday thru Friday, I will be gone as well. Doesn't leave much time for SpecOps (or anything else) I know, but I NEED some time off. Hang in there, though...the light at the end of the tunnel is in sight, and if you knew what I knew, you'd understand what I mean. :) Until I get back, this is Seawolf, signing off.

8-8-00: Seawolf here, back from Buffalo. Driving was rather hectic due to poor maps, non-existant road signs, and very bad drivers, but we rose above it and had a pretty good time. And hey, I finally got to Niagra Falls and into Canada a bit! :)
I really don't have any major SpecOps updates. :( Calydor sent me some new sound samples that are great...excellent quality on these, and I am gonna ghost-ize them and maybe put up a sample or two. Derlin is back now, and I need to find out what's up with portraits...when I know, you'll know. In fact, I need to get in touch with all the staffers...again, when I know what they're up to, you'll know. Until then, this is Seawolf, signing off.

8-1-00: Seawolf here...happy August! Just for your information, I am gonna be outta town from tomorrow until next Monday evening. We are going to Buffalo, and I will not have any access to a computer while there. There ARE things I can work on SpecOps while there, but not much. So I will "see" you all when I get back. Until then, this is Seawolf, signing off.

7-25-00: I gave the long-neglected hero equipment section a little update during a break from mapwork. Nothing major (Brockman and J. Kerrigan), but it's something new to look at, at least. I will likely be adding small updates to that section off and on the next couple days.

7-24-00: There's a new post up in the news. Good work week coming up for Seawolf!

7-19-00: Hey everybody, your "party host" Seawolf here (hehehe...couldn't resist). I've done a couple minor touch-ups, such as putting the Army Men Studios mirror links back up in the downloads section, since they were somehow left out when we switched to the new layout. I've also touched up the links section, doing a little adding and deleting, as well as updating our affiliates in the menu to the left. I've also moved a lot of the old updates into the old updates section, since I had everything from way back in February clogging up the main page.

7-18-00: Well after several drafts, Phoenix finally made a new layout we both love. Hope you all like it too. :) There are still a couple minor little kinks that need to be worked out (like the fact that the strategies and stories are still in the old layout style), but I'll fix them soon. Let me and more importantly Phoenix know what you think!

7-16-00: Seawolf again. Proof that Geocities stinks...remember all the hassle I had to go through to upload Project O to Geocities? That ordeal that took four days of insanity?! Well, it took only about an hour and a half to upload the whole thing to Army Men Studios's site. :P I've added the mirror links in the downloads section. Much thanks to The Inquisitor for offering his server as a temporary mirror until Mason gets his 9 gig server up and running.
Now that that problem's "solved", back to work on the campaign....

7-16-00: Seawolf here. I've posted a long update of sorts in the news. Go give a read.
Also, my buddy Codebreaker made me a little link banner for SpecOps which you can see in the menu. Nice, huh? Thanks CB! :)

7-12-00: Hey everybody, Seawolf here. It appears that for some weird reason, the links for Project O downloads are not working anymore. Upon further investigation, I have determined that the files ARE still there, and I can download them directly from the File Manager. It appears that whenever you try to access the files from this site, or even type the address in manually, it changes the address from www.oocities.com to share.oocities.com, and I don't know why. I am gonna get to the root of this problem as soon as I can, but so far I can't figure it out.
Oh yeah, and I'm 20 as of two days ago! :)

7-8-00: There's a rather long post up in the news. I really don't know what to say about it, so I'll just leave it at that. :P

6-30-00: Well, I still don't have any big campaign updates...most of the work we're doing right now is behind-the-scenes stuff, like mapwork and music.
However, I have recently taken up to writing again, and that means more of the long-forgotten New Beginnings story. Chapter one is now up in the
stories section. Also, I've added a link to my buddy Inquisitor's site in the links section, and fixed ComLeon's dead Allied Races link.

6-25-00: Seawolf again. Just so you're all informed, I am NOT going on vacation this coming week. But my family and I are still going to be doing a lot of day-long things from now until Thursday, so I will still be busy, but able to spend at least some time at home working on SpecOps.
Anyways, figured you all would want to know that. :) Keep the faith guys, and until next time, this is Seawolf, signing off.

6-24-00: Seawolf here. Just so you all know, I have not gone MIA on my own campaign. :P Phoenix and I have talked since his post below. Don't worry...we're still hard at work. I have had quite a few real life issues to deal with lately, which is what kept me from really keeping in good touch with Phoenix and updating the site. But most of that is over now, and I am back to working on SpecOps like a madman. Mapwork and soundwork are moving along nicely, though a few minor plot changes and some annoyingly slow-to-fix bugs have hampered progress a bit.
As Phoenix said, we will deliver. It just takes a lot more time than we ever originally envisioned. Some things are just out of our control, and they get in the way of what we may want to happen and how fast we want to do things, but that's life, I suppose.
Anyways, just know that we're still here, and still working to make Episode I worth the wait.
Also be advised that I may be going on vacation from Sunday to Thursday next week...I'll try very hard to let you all know for sure before we leave (if we do), assuming I have time to get back on here to update the site.
Okay, that's all for now. Until next time, this is Seawolf, signing off.

6-23-00: Hi, this is Phoenix. I'm not getting through to Seawolf right now, and I haven't for at least two weeks. And since this site has gone un-updated for 2 weeks and one day, I just wanted you to know that we're still holding it together. As always, we really have nothing new to say, except that my layout has been completed a few times, but I'm discussing with Seawolf about some changes. Keep the faith. SpecOps will deliver.
That's all. Until next time, Phoenix out.

6-8-00: Yes, we're still here, and we're still working. All of us. But I haven't had anything huge to talk about or anything new to put up for your enjoyment the past several days, which is why I haven't updated. I still don't have anything to really put up now, either, but I wanted to let everyone know we're still alive and kicking. Hopefully, I'll have some more eye and/or ear candy soon...I haven't been updating certain site sections like I thought I would since I've been working on the actual campaign instead. Here's one thing, at least: Phoenix is working on a new layout for the site. So hopefully, really soon, that will be all set and we will have a cooler layout here than the one that's been here for months on end. :)
That is all. Until next time, this is Seawolf, signing off.
