Surveyor's Spike

So some surveyors were doing their thing around the neighborhood and one of them got out his metal detector and showed me where the fourth corner of my property is. I dug down and found an old railroad spike that surveyors a hundred years ago used to mark off the corners of all this property. I started thinking about this surveyor and wondering if he knew how much what he did meant to me and everybody else that lived around here. Then I wondered how many hundred years from now, that spike will still be down there. He probably didn't think much about it, but what he did will probably mean something to people until the end of time! Every day, whatever you do changes the world forever. Will what you do today change the world for the better or the worse?
