?Haido, could you find a tin of tomatoes in that cupboard over there?? Mr Owai
asked, washing his hands and then drying them on his stained apron.
?Hmm, hai.? Hyde mumbled, stirring a big pot with rice in. Mr Owai walked out
and he could be heard talking to someone. Hyde put the wooden spoon down and
looked over at the big cupboard. It was actually more like a pantry, it was very
large but there was hardly anything ever in it ? only tins of this and that. He
made his way over to the cupboard/pantry and was about to open the door when he
heard something behind him. Looking over his shoulder he saw Tetsu.
?Tet-chan! I thought you were on your break. What are you doing in here?? Hyde
asked, he was so happy to see Tetsu ? but he didn?t want him to get into trouble
for coming to see him. Mr Owai had told Tetsu ? under pain of death ? not to go
into the kitchen while he was out.
?I am . . . I just wanted to talk to you . . .? Tetsu said, walking over
through the kitchen.
?Oh, okay then. What?s wrong?? He asked, opening the door and looking inside.
?Nothing?s wrong, I just wanted to see you ?Tetsu said, he was blushing
slightly. Hyde?s heart fluttered as he heard this.
?O-oh, Okay then. Do you know where the light-switch is in here?? Hyde asked,
peering into the dark cupboard and searching for a light switch.
?Umm . . . let me look.? Tetsu offered, leaning over Hyde and feeling the
walls. ?What are you looking for anyway?? He asked, stepping into the small
room.
?Tin of tomatoes, see them?? Hyde said, pulling out a cigarette and lighting
it.
?No, you shouldn?t smoke in here.?
?Yeah I know. Here let me look too, we?ll find them quicker.? Hyde said. He
stepped in and was walking over to join Tetsu when he tripped over a bag of
rice.
?Wahh!? He cried in surprise. Tetsu grabbed his arms before he fell over. He
looked into Hyde?s eyes and Hyde looked into his.
?Haido . . . ? Tetsu mumbled, putting his hand up to the Bishonen?s face. Hyde
smiled and moved his hand to intertwine with Tetsu?s other.
Their faces were growing closer. And then their lips touched, Tetsu put his
hand on the back of Hyde?s neck and Hyde had his around his perfect man?s
middle.
?Hmm . . . Tet-chan . . . ? Hyde said through the kiss. They parted for a
second, looking into each other?s eyes and them joined again, their bodies were
so close Hyde could hear Tetsu?s heart beating.
Suddenly the kitchen door opened, they sprang apart.
?Found the tin of tomatoes yet Tet-chan?? Hyde asked innocently.
?No, no, no tomatoes yet.? He answered, turning his back and trying to rub the
smudged lipstick off his face. He was only making it worse. He picked up a tin
and looked into the dim metal. He cringed as he saw the red smears all around
his lips. Ken looked at them both and walked over to them.
?Hey ? Tetsu!? He called, stepping into the cupboard.
?Hmm?? Tetsu said, rubbing furiously at his mouth ? making the skin sting.
?Need to talk to you, come out to the bar.? Ken pulled on Tetsu?s shirt.
?I ? uh ? don?t feel well, I think I?m going to be sick!? Tetsu turned around,
covering his mouth with his hand as if he was going to be sick, and ran out.
?What the?? Ken thought. He looked at Hyde, who was hiding his face, and
grabbed a tin of tomatoes right next to Hyde?s hand.
?Looking for these, Haido?? He asked sarcastically.
?Oh, um, yeah. Arigato Ken-chan . . . ? He took the tin and walked over to the
pot.
A few hours later ? when Tetsu?s red lips had turned back to their natural
colour, and Mr Owai was back ? a man walked into the small restaurant. He had
long black hair, and a black T-shirt. His trousers were of the same colour. He
came up to the bar and waited for the bartender to notice him. While he was
waiting a waiter came out of the kitchen. The man was tapping on the counter
rhythmically with his hands.
?Yes, sir?? A voice asked.
?Oh, beer please.? The man ordered, looking at the unshaven face of Ken.
?Hai, right away.? The man went and sat down and waited for his drink.
Over at the bar Ken stopped Tetsu as he squeezed past.
?Look like a drummer to you?? He asked, opening a bottle of beer. Tetsu looked
at the man in black and nodded. He was tapping on the table again and nodding
his head to the rhythm. Ken passed the beer to Tetsu, who placed it on a brown
tray.
?Go do your stuff, Tetsu.? Thought Ken.
Tetsu walked over to the table and set the beer infront of the man. Then he sat
down opposite him.
?Excuse me, but do you play the drums?? He asked casually.
?Yeah, and?? The man asked.
?It?s just, I?m forming a band and I have everything but a drummer. Would you
like to join?? He looked the man in the eye.
?Yeah, okay. What?s your name?? The man asked.
?Tetsu, yours?? Tetsu offered his hand.
?Sakura, what?s the bands name then?? Sakura took a swig of the beer.
?L?Arc~En~Ciel.? Tetsu told him, looking at the pristine tablecloth.
?Ha! Where?d you get that!?? Sakura said loudly, setting his beer down.
?Long story, hey, see that man over there?? Tetsu pointed to Ken.
?Hmm?? Sakura nodded.
?He?s our guitarist, I?m bassist and ? Ken!? Tetsu shouted.
?Yeah, what?? Ken shouted back.
?Call Haido!? Ken opened the door to the kitchen.
?Oi! Haido, Tetsu wants ya!? A head popped around the door and Hyde could be
seen.
?What?s wrong?? Hyde asked, wiping his forehead.
?Nothing, just this is Sakura. If he wants he can be our drummer!? Tetsu said,
beaming at Hyde.
?Wow! Cool! Do you want to?? Hyde turned his attention to Sakura.
Sakura took one glance at Hyde and nodded. He thought Hyde was so handsome, his
delicate features and pale skin made Sakura?s mouth water. Tetsu saw Sakura?s
look and wanted grab him by the throat and throttle him. Hyde was his, no one
else?s.
