Fanfiction/What is love?


	?So how long have you playing the drums now?? Tetsu asked, looking at the face
of the young man.
	?Hmmm, three years or more.? He said, pulling out a cigarette. He lit it and
then offered the pack to the other three.
	?No thanks ? I don?t smoke.? Tetsu said. Ken showed him the cigarette he
already had in his hand and Hyde accepted one gladly.
	?Arigato ? uh . . . ? He trailed off, not knowing the man?s name.
	?Yukihro. And you are Haido, Tetsu and Ken ? am I right?? Yukihro asked.
	?Yep! Right you are!? Ken said, flicking some cigarette ash into a sliver
ashtray.
	?Okay then, you sound perfect. How about we meet up on Friday and see how we
sound together, hai?? Tetsu asked. They all nodded.
	On Friday Hyde and Tetsu sat in the bassist?s car as they drove up to the
recording studio.
	?Do you think he?ll be alright?? Hyde asked, turning his head to Tetsu. Tetsu
flicked his eyes off the road for a few seconds and then looked back at it.
	?Yeah, I think so. But if he doesn?t that?s it. We?ll have to split up.? He
sounded desperate.
	?Hmm, I know. Let?s hope he?s as good as Sakura was.? Hyde looked at the road
and sighed sadly ? remembering his friend.
	They arrived at the studio five minutes late and Yukihro and Ken were already
set up.
	?What took you so long? I been missing you guys!? Ken joked, slapping Hyde hard
on the back. Hyde staggered forwards, throwing an annoying look at Ken. ?Oh-oh,
I?m in the bad books now. Tetsu save me!? Ken ran behind Tetsu and hid playfully
from Hyde.
	?That?s right Ken-chan. I?m coming to get you!? And Hyde growled like a dog.
	Yukihro laughed as he watched the three band members playing. Tetsu looked over
at him as Hyde and Ken ran around him. They ran off together, Hyde screaming
like a little girl while Ken chased him. He walked over to the thin drummer and
smiled politely.
	?Don?t mind them, they?re always like that.? He explained.
	?Ha ha ha, I don?t mind ? it?s fun to watch!? Yukihro laughed. Tetsu laughed
with him.
	?Right then down to business. Could you do some drumming for me Yukihro?? Tetsu
asked, perching on the corner of a wobbly table.
	?Sure, call me Yukki. Everyone calls me that.? Yukki said. Tetsu nodded and
smiled happily.
	?Okay ? Yukki.? Yukki started to tap out a steady beat on a symbol and then
came in with the bass drum and then crashed down onto the rest of the drum kit ?
thrashing out a lively beat. He ended with a loud smash from the symbols. Yukki
stopped the sound and looked up at Tetsu. He sat with his mouth slightly opened.
	?How was that?? Yukki asked from behind the kit.
	?That-that was-? But what it was Yukki never managed to find out. Hyde and Ken
came running up to Tetsu. Hyde grabbed onto Tetsu?s arm.
	?LURKEY, LURKEY 1,2,3!? He shouted, Ken stamped his foot and crossed his arms
in mock disappointment.
	?Awww, darn! You always have to ruin everything Haido!? Hyde stuck his tongue
out and hugged Tetsu.
	?Arigato for saving me Tet-chan!? He said. Tetsu laughed and pinched Hyde?s
cheeks.
	?Awww, well that?s alright.? He laughed again. Ken laughed too and went over
and took a cigarette from his stash in one of the drawers by the drum kit. ?Hey!
Everyone! Meet our new drummer!? Tetsu said, remembering about Yukki.
	?Wow! Really?!? Yukki sounded so excited. Tetsu nodded enthusiastically. Yukki
whooped for joy and then started to play another game of Lurkey, Lurkey with
Tetsu, Hyde and Ken.
	Three months after Yukki?s official joining to L?Arc En Ciel Ken and Yukki sat
in their spacious flat. They had become very good friends over this short time.
	?Yukki . . . ? Ken said. Yukki looked up from reading a magazine.
	?Hmmm, Ken-chan?? He asked.
	?Have you noticed anything  . . . weird about Haido and Tet-chan lately?? Ken
queried. Yukki shook his head.
	?Nope, they seem perfectly normal to me. Why?? Yukki asked, throwing down the
magazine.
	?They just seem distracted. And in rehearsal yesterday they keep on looking at
each other. AND Haido kept forgetting his lines.? Ken answered, looking at his
friend.
	?Oh, I didn?t notice. I was too busy thinking about mixing that new song.
Gomen.? Yukki apologised.
	?It?s alright. Just promise me you?ll keep an eye on them ? hai??
	?Hai ? I promise Ken-chan.? Yukki said, picking up the magazine again.
    	Over at Tetsu and Hyde?s place the two men lay awake in their separate
rooms. Neither of them could sleep because of thinking of the other. Hyde turned
over again on his mattress, he was so happy and yet he still couldn?t help
thinking that Tetsu didn?t like him anymore. Hyde looked up at the ceiling and
wondered what Tetsu was doing right then.
	Tetsu sat plucking the strings of his bass, he was thinking of Hyde. He was
handsome ? and yet he seemed to be teasing him. It looked as if Hyde hated him
one second and loved him the next. Tetsu didn?t know what to do or say to hi. He
was scared Hyde would change his mind if he did like him ? which would break
Tetsu?s heart! There was nothing Tetsu could do to get his mind off his
troubles. He set the bass down and traipsed across to his bed. He lay on it and
pretended he was lying next to Hyde. He would lean across to the sleeping beauty
and whisper ?I love you? in his ear.
	?Haido . . . ? Tetsu murmured as a big teardrop trickled down his cheek and
soaked into the fluffy pillow.
