Welcome to the Official Home page of the Sixth Legion. Legio VI is a member of Strength and Honor LARP Society and a sponsored Legion of the Micro-nation Nova Roma®. Our goal is to recreate the soldiers of the Roman Army for public demonstrations, Reenactments, living history displays and to recreate the Might and power of the Roman Army on the battlefield. Our weapons, armor, and accoutrements have all been carefully researched, and reconstructed at our own expense Legio VI is committed to recreating the unit in the most authentic was possible. The men of Legio VI demonstrate the tactics of the day, and the use of the legionary's various weapons as well as the every day camp life that the men of the Roman Army experienced.. We can discuss many aspects of Roman army life, and will sometimes spend a day or weekend living like our ancient counterparts did on campaign.

Legio VI is located in up State New York with Centuries in Albany, Syracuse, and the Mid Hudson Valley area. Activities attended by members include authentic era period displays and the

Living History demonstrations at various events, marching in parades, school presentations, and participation in the live action events of the Strength and Honor Society. These LARP events include activities such as live battles, festivals, political debates, daily camp life, and other activities that the members of the roman army participated in. Members of Legio VI use the standard weapons of the day for demonstrations and "Mock" Latex replicas for the live action battles. These weapons are incredibly realistic looking but are harmless.

One of the new areas Legio VI is getting into is the SCA or society for Creative Anachronisms. This organization is also a live combat group with chapters around the globe. For more information go to their website at www.sca.org
