GUN CONTROL:
The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.

THE  LATEST  NEWS
FOR  AUGUST
(Comments in Blue are 'usually' Mine)

TAX AND SPEND is Still the slogan of the Liberal Party
The Liberal Cabinet is happily revising the spending numbers. An estimated $3-billion to $4-billion in unbudgeted new spending has already been announced by Ministers this year, and we still await the promise of a grand innovation policy as well as vague commitments to spend even more on natives and the environment. Ottawa's refusal to submit to the rigour of a budget may well be linked to the Prime Minister's desire to push through his pet projects without having to justify them in light of shrinking revenues. Such fiscal carelessness, however, does an injustice to Canadian taxpayers who deserve a proper accounting of how the government plans to spend their  money. A federal budget is required not only because the economic situation has changed
dramatically, but also because the Liberals have not changed their dramatic spending habits.(And they won't, until the Country has the same deficit that Trudeau left us with..Ahhh  the standard  liberal Legacy will rear its head again..)

Cops target Rent-A-Guns(From the HOPLOPHOBIA NEWS CENTRE)
TORONTO-Toronto Police are looking into reports of a ring of illegal gun brokers renting out
handguns for up to $100 an hour to criminals and gang members. Police suspect the weapons are rented because criminals don't want to take the chance of having their own and getting caught by police with them. (Oh Jeeeze gimmie a break will ya!!! Criminals NEVER own and register their own firearms. Criminals are Renting the guns because its an easy source of guns! Its as simple as that. These 'punks' with guns, don't have the brains or skills to pass a simple firearms safety course anyway.. Their biggest concern is trying to find a Glock with the sights mounted on the side so they look cool in the hood..)

Liberals CONTINUE to do their Best at Hiding Information From the Public
The public's right to know how the federal government spends taxpayers' money is under threat from bureaucrats more interested in hiding information than complying with the Access to Information Act, witnesses told an MPs committee yesterday. (The fact that it even requires a committee to investigate this, says volumes about the Current Liberal Government and their ongoing determination to prevent the public from accessing information regarding more and more secret government activities. Hmmm!! It looks as if my suspicions are Right! Liberals probably DO get taller when they take Viagara.)

Gun licence questions overkill, and Violate Privacy Act

Report blasts gun questions
OTTAWA -- The federal government is too nosy about the private lives of  Canadians applying for a gun permits, a report released yesterday by the privacy commissioner says. And, they get a failing grade when it comes to protecting the highly sensitive information it gathers, George Radwanski says.  In his 81-page report, Radwanski makes 34 recommendations -- some, he admits, have been made in the past but have been ignored by the feds. (If the CFC denies your application because of 'private' missing information, you may now have legal recourse. Along with the fact that RCMP DATABASE VIOLATES ALL SEVEN PRIVACY RIGHTS PROTECTED IN CANADIAN LAWI don't see why any law abiding  citizen should even apply for a Paranoid. Asskissing. Liberal. Card. Opinions and statements made by  the Coalition for Gun Control, should be totally discarded, as any other statement made by any group  that may not even be a Legal Canadian Organization anymore

The 'current' internet will be FULL by 2006
NEW YORK - More and more devices are being connected to the Net – palm pilots, cellphones, television sets. As demand  increases, space is becoming limited. Some computer experts say a "No Vacancy" sign
may soon be hanging at the door to the information highway. (The way things are moving at the CFC, their whole computer system will be obsolete before 2006 anyway.. If its any indication of the Liberal grasp of modern technology, the regular connection to  'this' website, by the Justice Department (stop.justice.gc.ca), the tracking system shows their 'still' using windows 95.. No wonder it takes a YEAR to get a P.A.L.)

Have the Liberals Spent us BACK into a deficit "Again"?
the finance department has offered no evidence to the contrary. We have not had a proper budget since February of 2000. We have not been provided even with estimates of the main budget aggregates -- total spending, total revenues -- since October of last year, amid the chaos of a snap election call. We have not yet been given the final audited figures for last year, and will have to wait for the current year's until the fall of next year. For all  we know, the budget is already in the red. (Well, we know where at least a BILLION of it has been wasted.. The country can not afford the wasteful practices of this Liberal One Party Government.)

Five of eight Liberals on committee miss hearing
OTTAWA - Fewer than half the Liberal MPs on an all-party committee attended the first day of  hearings yesterday into the Access to Information Act, and one of them spoke out in favour of the current legislation, blaming "unreasonable requests" from the public for delays in getting government documents.(It would seem that ANY request for the Liberals to release information on their antics is deemed "Unreasonable"..
It's Liberal style Canadian Democracy Eh!!)

Whistleblower Magazine (formerly WorldNet) Highlights "Guns in America"
The statistical proof simply confirms what has been evident anecdotally for years. For instance, years ago the women of  Orlando, Fla., were terrified of being raped, since 33 women had already been raped in just one 9-month period.  After people began flocking to gun stores to protect  themselves, the Orlando Sentinel newspaper got together  with the police to offer a firearms safety course.  It was all very well publicized. Everybody knew that in Orlando there was a multitude of women who had handguns and knew how to use them. The result was that  in the following 9-month period, there were only three rapes. In addition, crime in general declined. The fact is, Orlando, Fla., was the only U.S. city with a population of over 100,000 that had a reduction in crime that year. (The Liberals think its best if  ONLY the Bad Guy has the gun, that way the police can positively identify the criminal (the person being the ONLY one with a firearm, besides the police and military) and arrest him AFTER he's raped and killed you.)
7 Dead, and NO Guns Involved
Not only is Nikolay Soltys not suspected of using any guns in the commission of this heinous crime, police allege he killed his 27-year-old wife and unborn baby in her home, then traveled 15 miles to stab his second cousins – ages 9 and 10 – and their grandparents, before fleeing with his own 3-year-old son and later killing him as well. While I do not seek to politicize this tragedy, someone needs to point out the obvious. Men are capable of great evil – even mass murder – without the benefit of firearms. This incident should serve to remind us of that fact. What would have happened if his wife had a gun? She might very well be alive today. Her unborn baby and his son might very well be alive. In fact, the grandparents and the little second cousins might still be alive. (Knives, Baseball Bats, and Lead Pipes, Have ALL been used by murderers. Guns are used far more often to STOP crime, than to commit it....Hear someone breaking into your home? Remember your family safety priorities! Unlock, Load, Dial 911, In THAT Order.)

Back Bencher MPs to call for reform of Access to Information Act
OTTAWA - John Bryden, chairman of a committee of backbench MPs examining the Access to
Information Act, says he will go ahead with a report calling for reforms despite the "poisoned ground" created by the federal Cabinet. Don Boudria, the government House Leader, has ordered civil servants not to appear at the  hearings, which begin today in Ottawa. The decision has cut the witness list by two-thirds and private-sector organizations with other issues before the government have also cancelled their appearances out of concern they will face repercussions, Mr. Bryden said yesterday in an interview. "The authority is we're MPs with 80,000 voters behind each one of us. Our authority is  Parliament. Unless something's happened recently that escaped my notice, Parliament is still supreme around here. It's Parliament first and then government."(Even 'Liberal' Backbenchers are starting to doubt their party. This 'Single Party Government' is doing what any other 'Single Party Government' around the world is doing. Curtailing rights of citizens by impeding any, and all, attempts  to 'really find out' what government is up to. AND like other one party governments throughout history have required, don't forget to register all your guns.)
Do you 'really' think the Feds will Lower your Taxes?
Federal statistics released yesterday show the average Canadian household spent 4% more  money in 1999 than the previous year. Of the four major budget categories, Canadians spent 19% on shelter, 13% on transportation and 11% on food, while 22% went to personal taxes. Personal taxes rose from 21% in 1998, to 22% the following year. "Statistics Canada can only report personal taxes," Mr. Robinson said. "The figures do not include sales taxes, property taxes, and a variety of different fees and charges we would consider taxes."  Mr. Robinson said studies have shown the full tax burden to family incomes is 48% to 49%.(If the Feds were REALLY serious about reducing your tax burden, they would 'at least' reduce the G.S.T. and remove it from things like Home Heating. Heat in Canada is just as important as food. If you don't have it, you die. So Actually, the Liberals are taxing you on your right to stay alive in the winter. If you heat with a 'Grain Burning Stove' you don't pay G.S.T. on your Heat even though the grain ,usually corn, you are burning is not really edible.)

Hunters face thicket of registry gobbledygook
Tramping through the dense bush in the fall chill for hours, maybe even days, to bag a trophy  may actually be the easy part of hunting season 2001. 'It's a pain,' said sportsman Don  Hamaluk after he'd been on the phone for 30 minutes Friday evening with the federal firearms  registry in order to get its blessing to take home his newly-purchased hunting rifle. At least  Hamaluk can get guns and ammo because he's got the licence to buy and possess, said the man who sold him the rifle, Ron Dallaire, a co-owner of the Tackle Shack in Grande Prairie.  Some aren't going to be so lucky this hunting season, he warned."(Bagging a "trophy" is nice, but there are families out there who hunt to put much needed 'meat' on the table. The Provinces MUST invoke the NOT WITHSTANDING CLAUSE until such a time that the Feds can PROVE the paranoid gunlaws they enacted have shown to be COST EFFECTIVE, and actually REDUCE CRIME.  Neither of which will ever happen. If the Provinces do not protect the people from this poorly thought out federal garbage, there will be a lot of  families going hungry all across  this country. Simply because liberals think the only reason for owning a gun, is to stick up the local 7-11)

The Gophinator versus Ottawa
So where's the problem? Two years ago, while promoting the Gophinator in the New Inventions building at Regina's annual Farm Progress Show, the Maze family was approached by a representative of the local Humane Society. "That's their job, to be concerned about animal welfare," acknowledges Norman Maze. The next day, representatives of Agriculture Canada turned up and shut them down. The Maze family were told that until NH3 is assigned a  Pest Control Product Number, the Gophinator is an illegal device. (Another fine example of  Ottawa steering western farmers toward bankruptcy... Ahhhhh look at the little gopher!!! he's soooo cute...Ya, but can you Eat Them?)
Taxpayers billed for luxury travel
Federal civil servants booked more than 1,500 first-class and business-class flights in the last fiscal year in violation of Treasury Board policy, says a new report. The luxury tickets -- offering fine wines, gourmet meals and wider seats -- cost taxpayers an extra $1.7-million over basic airfares. The report also shows bureaucrats declined lower airfares 9,500 times because they preferred travelling on a higher-cost airline, adding another $2.8- million to costs.A spokesman for the Treasury Board said each department is responsible for policing its own violations and that the cost of unauthorized upgrades must be borne by employees. "The recovery of monies would be determined on a case-by-case basis," Chantal Prevost said from Ottawa. Reimbursements must be made even if the upgrade was the result of a misinterpretation or mistake, she added. ( If your waiting for the individual 'trough wallowers' pay up for their abuses, Pigs will fly before..wait a minute!! they seem to be flying NOW, and if you listen 'real close' you can hear them laughing at you as they soar overhead)

Nova Scotia: Province ponders putting wild turkeys back in the woods(Nat.Post West to East)
HALIFAX - The Nova Scotia government is considering introducing wild turkeys into the province's woods. Hunters have been asking the province to supply them with the game for  more than a decade but the expense was a deterrent. The National Wild Turkey Federation  has agreed to foot the bill for the project. (I Don't know a single rural Nova Scotian that does not have a firearm of some kind (.22 or 12ga.) stuffed away in a back closet. and the C.F.C. is convinced that Atlantic Canada is a 'high compliance' area.. Perhaps the Feds will relent, and NewBrunswick will release all the C.F.C Turkeys. Its only a short drive to N.S.)

PM's Comments 'chill' Albertans
'Sticks em Hup' Give us Your Guns! Now, Give us your Money
"You are in an extremely fortunate situation in Alberta," he added. "But it's creating pressure on the neighbouring provinces and we will have to start to work collectively to make sure  that there is no dislocation in the nation because of the fortunate position that this part of Western Canada is in at this moment."But at a news conference later in the day, Chrétien denied that his government has any plans to impose a special tax on Alberta's energy revenues. (Ahhh Now if  THAT don't sound like a new Tax in the planning "Just For Albertans" I don't know what does... After all, has he ever lied to you before?  Makes ya wanna rush right out and vote Liberal in the West Doesn't  it)
Australia's Criminals have gone 'Postal'
HIGH-POWERED guns are being routinely mailed from overseas in pieces and reassembled by Australian criminals, making a mockery of efforts to control firearms and limit violent crime. Shootings have dramatically increased recently, doubling in the past two years to about 100 in NSW alone. "One of the problems is that the gangsters ... are very young and, whereas a few years ago they were rolling people in parks and taking their Reeboks and mobile phones, now they are shooting them," one officer said. ( In EVERY area of the world where strict gun control laws have been enacted, Shootings and Gun related Crime have skyrocketed. There are NO exceptions. Once honest people have been disarmed, what does the criminal have to fear. The Canadian Government has created  the 'Firearms Act' to increase the safety of  the Criminal workplace Environment. More Criminals, coming to a neighbourhood like yours soon.)
We Don't want ALL the Guns!! ...JUST YOURS
For those who say that guns cause crime, please show me the gun that caused crime. I have heard of these guns, the ones owned by mysterious and shady characters. Do these guns have the ability to walk and talk too? Much like David Dieteman pointed out, if guns truly do cause these horrible atrocities and cause so much sorrow, why not put them up on the witness stand. Cross-examine Mr. Gun all day long and see if he talks. Take him into the interrogation room for several days and see what beans you can spill. Maybe there is some underground syndicate he works for, maybe you can find out whom he is working for. (The last survey, a few years back, showed Guns are used in Canada a minimum of 65,000 times a year to protect life and property, That's far more lives 'protected' by guns, than threatened by guns. But all most 'city' people see is the punk holding up a 7-11, or some 'nut case' in revenge mode. The fact that some law abiding people will not  give up their guns, keeps the home invaders guessing if their carcass's will be ventilated on a break-in or not. As long as they are kept guessing, the more people will be protected by guns whether they know it or not.)
Oh...RATS...
Vancouver and Montreal are reporting huge increases in the number of rats, while exterminators in Toronto estimate a population boost of 10% to 20%. Sammy Forcillo, a Montreal city councillor, said he has to keep the basement door of his home  in central-south Montreal closed so rats can't get upstairs.( May I suggest a answer to this problem? A Crosman 357 Magnum, on the CFC Prohibited list, but still sold in every Canadian Tire Store in Canada (With BOTH barrels) Holds 10 .177 pellets in a speed loader 'drop in disk'. Rats don't stand a chance, and you get to improve your household shooting skills.. Or Hell, just buy one because you can, and it will piss off a Liberal)
OINK: More on the Liberal Trough Wallower
"I do not think that taxpayers would have been that generous if they were writing the contract," said John Williams, an Alliance MP from Alberta who chairs the public accounts committee. "It is all the more peculiar when you consider the fact that when ordinary Canadians quit their job, they are not even eligible for federal employment insurance." Both Mr. Williams and Mr. Robinson suggested the Auditor-General should examine the severance payment to Mr. Carle. (Ya Right! The Auditor-General is not interested in examining the CFC for a 800% overrun in the $85,000,000.00 original costs for a useless gun registry, so why should she be interested in a measly $150,000 Liberal pay out.)
And the "Culture of Safety" Continues
Toronto: Three people, including two teenage girls, were shot last night after an argument at a sports bar in Corso Italia on St. Clair West. A witness, Carlos Aguyar, told Global Television he saw a man leave L'Espresso Bar on St. Clair near Lansdowne after an argument at about 9:30 p.m. He returned a few minutes later carrying what appeared to be a shotgun. (Obviously, to a Liberal, this fellow must be a "Duck Hunter" gone bad!!! C-68  lays the blame for this type of crime squarely at the feet of 'Duck Hunters' and Law abiding citizens who use shotguns for sport. After all, it has very little effect on criminals. How could he possibly have acquired ammunition without a license? Gee, do you think the criminals have a source besides Wall Mart? Naaa THAT would be against the Law!!)
No Firearms Amnisty(ap)
TORONTO -- Ottawa has no plans to restore an amnesty allowing firearms owners to use their guns without a licence, despite an appeal from the Ontario government. David Austin, spokesman for the Canadian Firearms Centre, said the six-month amnesty expired June 30 as scheduled because, according to federal Justice Minister Anne McLellan, the vast majority of applicants had licences.  "That was the federal position in June and it has not changed," Austin said. (The "VAST MAJORITY" McLellan speaks of, DO NOT have licenses, and have No Plans to Get one. Nor will they bend over and register for the future confiscation of the guns their families may have owned for generations. You notice he said "According to federal Justice Minister Anne McLellan"! The Feds have been bullshitting the public with their bogus numbers for so long, they are actually beginning to believe them 'themselves'. It would just be ANOTHER admission of failure if they restored the amnesty, and the Liberals are too arrogant to admit the whole damn act is a total failure and HUGE waste of money. The general policy? 'Keep Spending, Keep bullshitting, Keep Face, Keep our Jobs')

Sailor attacked by pirates may continue adventure
Carrie Medd said she wouldn't want to stand in the way of her father's dream. "I know this is an isolated incident and there are so few people who do follow their dreams that I totally  admire my dad for following his."(I Would highly recommend carrying a little something extra the next time he goes sailing 'Down Mexico Way' Full Auto Switchable Glock18
OINK!!! Another Chrétien Liberal Dives into the Trough
MONTREAL - Jean Carle, a senior executive at the Business Development Bank of Canada and  close confidant of the Prime Minister, Jean Chrétien, will be paid 12 months salary -- a sum exceeding $150,000 -- when he quits his job at the federal bank next month, the National Post  has learned. Handwritten clause: Carle is paid $150,000 including golf fees after resigning from federal bank (Isn't it just Heartwarming to know that the Federal Taxes levied on people still fighting to get above the poverty line go to such a worthy cause. The poor bastard was obviously worried after QUITING HIS JOB, he never knew where his next golf game may be coming from.)

One Year Ago This Week
Ontario Premier Mike Harris Says  Ontario is to introduce heritage hunting and  fishing act..
OTTAWA -- The Ontario government will introduce legislation enshrining hunting and fishing as part of the province's heritage, in spite of protests opposing the practices, says Premier Mike Harris.
That was back on Thursday Aug. 24, 2000 !!   Where is it NOW????? You can Email Mike Harris here:webprem@gov.on.caand please include the link to his Promise in your email

Ontario asking federal government to extend firearm grace period (From CILA)
TORONTO (CP) -- Ontario is asking the federal government to extend the grace period for licensing of firearm owners because of a backlog in the processing of possession and acquisition licences. Under the Firearms Act, people applying for firearm licences had to submit their applications by Dec. 31, 2000. But a backlog has developed and thousands of applications remain ungranted by Justice Minister Anne McLellan. In January, McLellan granted a grace period of six months to all applicants who had filed by the deadline but not received their licences. However, no grace period has been extended to those who did not meet the deadline. With bear hunting season open since Aug. 15 in much of northern Ontario, many hunters cannot legally buy ammunition or possess firearms. "Despite following all federal requirements, many Ontario sportsmen and women still find themselves waiting for the federal government to process paperwork," Natural Resources Minister John Snobelen said in a news release. "I call on the federal government to extend the grace period, once again, until the backlog is cleared." (The THOUSANDS of Ontario hunters who did not meet the deadline, have not applied for the Liberal Licence because they have basically told the Liberal to "Go forth and Multiply".  Not really meaning they want more liberals)

Toronto Coyote Eats Cops Cat!
Sgt. Holtzheuser called on the city to take a more proactive stance against coyotes. But Mr. Mitton said that under a new provincial law, captured wildlife can only be moved to within one kilometre of its original location, which would have little effect on a coyote.(Yup, if captured at Islington Avenue and The Kingsway, the offending coyote will be relocated to the Apartment Complex at Islington Ave. and Dixon Rd... Oh wait!! that might be more than a Kilometer..Perhaps they could take it one kilometer 'Straight Up' and release it there.. That 'should' solve the problem)

Ottawa uses legislation to thwart openness
They blamed a culture of secrecy within the Liberal government and the bureaucracy for  problems with the 18-year-old Access to Information Act, saying "the people who have the power to change it are the people who benefit most from its not working effectively." "Over the years, stakeholders have noticed a discernible shift in focus to managing and expanding exemptions [to the right to access]," it says. "Many feel that the Act has become a shield to deny access rather than a guide to providing openness."(Well, can you blame them? The more people know about the REAL plans of the Liberal Government, the more chance there is that they will suffer the SAME fate the Conservatives did. Remember, the first step to controlling the people, is to disarm them. That starts by requiring that all guns be registered to facilitate the pending confiscation.)

Police to be armed with BlackBerrys Criminal databases
The well-armed -- and well-funded -- police force of the near future could have those tiny computers loaded with a worldwide criminal database and portable laser fingerprint machines.  Police could also buy an impressive array of armaments, robotic cameras and doggy-sized flak jackets from among 135 exhibitors. Meanwhile, criminal organizations here and abroad are experimenting with computer hacking  to break into legitimate computer systems belonging to businesses and government organizations, including the police. They are also increasingly using encryption to hide their crimes. (Just think of the 'real' crime fighting methods and equipment the police could have had if the BILLION DOLLARS spent on registering 'duck guns' had instead been turned over to law enforcement. Not to mention the fact that the CFC database will be a primary target of criminal hackers. The resulting break-ins and attempted thefts of desirable firearms now that they know who's got them, and  where they are, will become common occurrence. So perhaps, will be defensive shootings of would-be home invaders)

Shooter denies any threat implied
More coverage of Tom Zinck's posting of picture on his web site (Also see below)
A leading spokesman for the pro-gun lobby group, Canadian Institute for Legislative Action, founded three years ago with help from the Washington-based National Rifle Association, complained last week that Ottawa police visited him at his home without notice while investigating threats against gun-control activists last April.
Al Dorans, the institute's director of operations and author of hundreds of letters to newspapers over the gun law, said he was outraged because the police detectives asked him if he knew who made the threats. ( I Suppose the police 'have' to investigate as many leads as they can. But I also, would find it personally insulting if I were asked if I knew who was making threats. If  I knew who was making the threats, the cops would have had their names almost immediately, and I'm just as sure Al Dorans, or ANY other law abiding shooter would do the same. The act of  actually threatening someone to further your cause, what ever that cause,  is a the act of a sick person. Violence is ONLY acceptable as the LAST resort in an act of  Self Defence or the Defence of others. But DO remember your family priorities, 'Unlock, Load, Dial 911 "in that order" )

Guns and stiff upper lips
If a total, nationwide ban on the possession of firearms is supposed to curb gun crime, then why is it that the English are increasingly the victims of gun-wielding criminals? According to a study released about a month ago and which formed the basis of a recent article in USA Today, the criminal use of firearms in the United Kingdom has increased by "almost 40 percent in three years, to 3,685 incidents from 2,648." Now, what makes this fact especially interesting is that three years ago was precisely when England passed a comprehensive ban on the private possession of handguns. According to the logic of gun control advocates, there should have been less, not more (let alone much more) gun crime. Residents of the District are equally familiar with this curious relationship. A total, nationwide ban on the possession of firearms has not kept guns out of the hands of criminals.(Simple logic has always evaded the minds of Gun Control Freaks. Licensing, Registration, and finally confiscation ONLY affects the people who are unlikely to be using firearms for criminal purposes anyway. But it sure makes politicians LOOK like they might be doing something useful, particularly to the uneducated)

Top cops meet in Saskatoon
Jim Mathews, interim chief of police in Saskatoon, said a focus for this year's meeting of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police will be organized crime. Formed in 1905 as the Chief Constables  Association of Canada, the CACP works with governments at all levels to try to improve law enforcement across the country. (And these 'chiefs' all think C-68 is a great idea. Just like anywhere else in the world where tight gun control exists, the crime rate will go through the roof thereby protecting their future budgets. Meanwhile our safety goes right down the drain. Anything to increase the crime rate, and prevent a law abiding citizen from protecting his or her families when the police won't/don't/can't show up in time eh!! Pay attention to your family safety priority. Don't Dial 911 until AFTER you've unlocked and loaded your Firearm)

McLellan Strikes again "Justice obstruction 2"
McLellan is expected by some to introduce an omnibus child poverty bill this fall that will contain amendments to access and custody laws at odds with the shared parenting  recommendations contained in For the Sake of the Children. Parliament and Canadians must not allow this. Ms. McLellan has not been candid on the subject of shared parenting. She must not be permitted to reify her agenda under cover of a deceptive media strategy.(Well, its confirmed again. The Liberal strategy on any laws not likely to be passed without a fight, is to bundle it up in another (or maybe the same C-15) Omnibus bill and try to ram through all the crap at the same time thereby reducing more of your rights much quicker. The general Liberal Long Term Plan? 'Come the Liberal revolution we'll ALL be better off - Because come the Liberal Revolution you'll all do as your bloody well told.'.  Just like any other Revolution, in any other country, the first step is "Get All The Guns Registered")

Gun law foe posts mandarins' photos
Still, neither police officers nor federal Justice Department officials have asked Mr. Zinck about
the site over the two years it has existed.  Good Grief it MUST be a slow news day!  These Pictures have been up for ages They don't mean to intimidate ANYONE, and this is really old news, trying to make another law abiding firearms owner look like a 'gun totin radical' The "Justice Department Visits this site every week or so too.  I can tell when they have visited, because the tracker url comes back as the very Prophetic "STOP.JUSTICE.CG.CA" is there 'really' a department called "Stop Justice" Under this Liberal Government, Nothing would surprise me.

Gun law stalls hunt in Nunavut
'They cannot buy bullets and cannot feed their families' The Canadian Firearms Centre has failed to provide newly mandated gun licences to thousands of Inuit, some of whom have been waiting more than year since they first applied, according to James Eetoolook, the president of the powerful Nunavut land claims organization. (They HAVE to issue actual licences, and cannot simply tell Inuit to go and hunt, because THAT would be illegal. Obviously there will be thousands of northern hunters unable to feed their families this winter. All because city people think guns are the reason for crime.. Well, they bloody well will be, if the Liberals don't get their crap together and dump this stupid mess all others laughingly call the firearms act.)

NRA Instrumental in Forming Canadian Pro-Gun Lobby
With help from the National Rifle Association  (NRA), Canada's pro-gun lobby is up and  running strong, the Edmonton Journal reported Aug. 10. Wendy Cukier, national president of the Canadian Coalition for Gun Control, called  CILA's connection to the NRA "frightening." (Ya!! and she's got a lot to be "frightened' about! Years of hiding the sources of funding for the CCGC have also caught up with her, and right now she's 'under the gun' of the Canada Corporations Act.. 'GoodBye Wendy..Ha..')

GOOD GRIEF the "Federally Abandoned Questions" Page is Finally back up!
I wonder how many errors it contains besides this one:
Q.  Do I need a Licence or Registration Certificate for things like Air Guns, Pellet Guns and Paint Ball Guns?
A: The licensing and registration requirements in the Firearms Act do not apply to devices that were designed to shoot pellets or other projectiles at less than 500 feet (152.4 metres) per second. A proposed amendment to the Act would also exclude devices with a muzzle energy of less than 5.7 joules even if these devices can shoot projectiles at more than 500 feet per second. (This is an outright Lie! The proposed changes actually read :
(2) Subparagraphs 84(3)(d)(i) and (ii) of the Act are replaced by the following:
  (i) a shot, bullet or other projectile at a muzzle velocity exceeding 152.4 m per second or at a muzzle energy exceeding 5.7 Joules, or
(ii) a shot, bullet or other projectile that is designed or adapted to attain a velocity exceeding 152.4 m per
second or an energy exceeding 5.7 Joules.
Until the Dumbass Bureaucrats who dream up this garbage know the difference between the words AND & OR ,These amendments CLEARLY show ANY device, of any type, capable of shooting a pellet/ paintball/ potato/ BeanBag/ PingPongBall, and even the infamous "Chicken Cannon" will now be considered a firearm UNDER LIBERAL CRIMINAL LAW

America Now has it's Nuts on Display in Britain !
New British P.E.T.A. Leader Says "Fish have feelings, too"
Dawn Carr is the fisherman's enemy. She arrived in London last week from the United States to spearhead a multi-million dollar campaign against "fish torture by lip-rippers." Angling is barbaric, she argues. Commercial fishing with nets is cruel. Fish fingers are as bad as  foie gras; fish and chip shops are worse than pornography -- too much naked flesh. As for owning a fish tank -- would you put your grandmother in a swimming pool all day? "I'm very unfussy about food," says Dawn Carr. "I'll eat anything, as long as it's vegan. That's no butter, milk, cheese,  meat, eggs or fish. And I prefer still water."(Gaad.. has this woman never heard that Plants Scream when eaten? or perhaps she may have taken part in the Big Protest at Portland By the People for the Ethical Treatment of Vegetables.

Going....Going...Gone.. (Hopefully)
The Canadian Coalition for Gun Control faces dissolution this year unless it finally heeds government warnings to file a backlog of annual reports. The coalition created by Wendy Cukier, has apparently neglected to file a single annual report, as required by the Canada Corporations act, since it was registered in 1992. The filings are supposed to tell where the money comes from and how it is spent. Cukier refused to explain her organizations dereliction.(This is ONE Countdown I'm Really Going to Enjoy)

Weather? A "HIGH" is Moving in over B.C.(Nat.Post West to East)
CRANBROOK - A marijuana grow operation sparked one of several bush fires around the southern Interior region this weekend, say officials. The fire is one of 50 burning in the province. The fire sparked by the marijuana operation spread from a shed containing electrical  circuits and burned about 1.5 hectares near Wardner, a small community close to Cranbrook, said Rob Beugeling, a fire control officer. The B.C. Fire Service is worried lightning will spark further fires in coming days. (Authorities are now attempting to disburse the hordes of 'sniffers' wandering aimlessly through the forests, bouncing off trees while holding great gulps of 'air'.. Hey man..Don't Bogart that field!!)

OUT SOURCING THE GUN REGISTRY SAVES MONEY?(.pdf file)
The ink on a contract between BDP Business Data Services to take over the Firearms Boondoggle has not even dried, and now its been boosted by a 62% cost over run. (Do you have dealings with BDP?? let the boycott begin, or just let  them know what you think here)

Doctors are STILL Killing more people than Guns.
Medication errors might be to blame for as many as 2,500 deaths a year in Canada, said Dr. Stuart MacLeod, professor of clinical epidemiology at McMaster University.(Why is the common duck hunter a bigger threat under criminal law, than a Doctor?)

THE STUFF YOU NEVER HEAR ABOUT
Few people realize that civilians use guns defensively, not  just against dogs, but to stop about 2 million crimes a year - five times more often than guns are used to commit  crimes, according to national surveys. Yet when was the last time you heard the evening news talk about a citizen saving a life with a gun? (This happens 12,000 times a year in Canada. How many do you hear about? But, you certainly hear about the relatively few times every year, that a gun is used in an assault )

Got a Question you need answered by the C.F.C.?
Don't hold your breath!  It looks like FAQ 'still'  means "Federally Abandoned Questions"
If you have called the C.F.C. with a question , you no doubt got a different answer from every bureaucrat you spoke to. This 'variation in answers' has become somewhat of a joke among firearms owners. No wonder they won't update the FAQ page, they obviously can't decide WHICH answer given by WHICH bureaucrat is correct, and they'll be dammed if there going commit to anything, and put it in writing!Got A Comment On This Story?
