This is an unofficial web-site for Lost and Found, the best independant band in the world. Lost and Found plays a kind of music called "Speedwood". Speedwood is "a fast paced style of acoustic thrash music characterized by furious striking of appendages upon musical instruments, accompanied by a severly damaging vocal style, and performed quite swiftly; often followed by an occasional slow song". There are only two members of the band, Michael Bridges and George Baum. Michael is the guitar player with frizy hair, and George is the keyboard player with no hair. Michael and George made their first concert tour as Lost and Found on their bicycles, with no support team. In September 1986 they left from Niagara, Ontario. They rode from there, to St. Louis, to Miami, to California, up to Seattle, and back over to New York. It took 340 days to ride eight and a half thousand miles. While they were on the trip they played 270 concerts, and stayed in the homes of people who went to their concerts. Currently, Lost and Found has about one hundred songs that are on their cd's. About 95% of these are origonal songs they wrote. Their most popular song, Lions, won the grand prize in the Gospel/Inspirational category of the 1998 John Lennin Songwriting Contest. Here is a link to read more about it. Use the links to the left to find out more about Lost and Found. Their official home page is www.speedwood.com . This page is independant of Lost and Found, so if there are any errors, it is my fault, not theirs. Thank you for visiting my site, enjoy. |
