If I had known the trials our love had to endure
I thought love was suppose to be simple and pure.
When i look back and see the times that we shared
both our heart and soul, to each other we bared.
Through the heartaches, the sorrow and pain
looking into each other eyes in the pouring rain.
Harsh words spoken can be felt accross the seas
kisses soft as the gentle midnight breeze.
