This is a 96 Neon, 4 dr, auto, 2.0L SOHC. It was rear ended by a fullsize, lifted, brush guarded pickup. The wife and all my children were in it as well as the dog. The truck was doing an estimated 50 mph when it failed to notice both the stop sign and the fact that the wife was stopped there waiting to turn. Karen and Liz were fairly sore the next day, Liz went to the emergency room that night. Katie got a fat lip when the passenger front seat collapsed and smacked her in the chops. Thank God for three point harnesses. Ollie slept thru it and it was Liz's screams that woke her. The dog barked at everything that moved afterwards. Everyone is ok, although Karen's broken tooth still needs a permanent repair. Fortunately, I have uninsured motorist as it was a hit and run.

The total damage is estimated at $5345 and the insurance company has not totaled it. The wife is happy as she really wants her car back. Yes, we would buy another Neon if we had to.
