First, a little about myself,

In case you haven't noticed yet, my name is Craig Wood.  I have recently finished my 4th year in Mechanical Engineering at the Univerisity of New Brunswick, which is located in the heart of Fredericton New Brunswick, Canada!  I am currently 21 years old, and currently reside in Fredericton also.  I enjoy mountain biking and stuff like that in my spare spare, when I am not in school.  Most of my time is devoted to school, which I will be done in May of 2001 (Five year program).  At that time, I may take my Masters, which will most likely been in the Automotive or Aerospace Industry.  As for what comes after graduation, that is still unknown...

Although I don't have a long list of previously owned Camaro's, I do have one now, my 1969 RS/SS which I bought when I was seventeen. The project started off slowly because I had to completely research the car and memorize it inside out, and since a lot of it was in pieces, I had to figure where they all went too.  Soon after that summer came I gutted the whole car and decided to began the frame up restoration. I had decided to go pretty well bone stock, I figured it was worth it.

The car itself took me many years to find. I had originaly planned to get a 1967 RS/SS (Because my father had one in his earlier years and I fell in love with it instantly -The one that got away!) but quickly realized these first generation Camaros were hard to come by!   My Father also owns a 1976 Corvette (Original Owner), which gave me some backgound on the classic car scene and gave me th insperation to buy my own (Thanks Dad!). The ideal car for me would include a 4-speed, console, vinyl roof and everything other than that would be a bonus. I personally prefer RS cars, so I set out on a mission so my mission to find either an RS/Z/28, or an RS/SS.  Eventually I came by a 1969 RS/SS which I had never seen before and bought it on the spot.  Ever since then I have been working away at my first and only car trying to finish by Summer of '2000. It probably won't happen but I keeps me going anyways! I am still trying to visualize what the final product will look like, as many of you can probably relate. If anyone has any pictures of a Yellow 1969 Camaro RS/SS or any RS/SS for that matter, send them to me! It would be greatly appreciated.

As for this website, I started it as excuse for me to learn internet programming (HTML), and I had never expected it to be where it is today.  I operate it on my spare time and the design and layout was conceived by myself.  Without all of the faithful Camaro owners, this site would not be what it is today.  It is dedicated to all the Camaro owners and enthusiests out there, and hopefully acts as a meeting place for those who share a common interest.

Well enough said... Back to First Generation Camaro!
