After a 16 month relationship
with my incredible (when it drove) an aggrevating (when it was standing
still) 1977 Coupe, I decided to cut my losses in the Summer of 1998, and
traded (down? up?) to a fine specimen of the Series III Jag/Daimlers. This
1990 Westminster Blue automobile represents according to some the prettiest
incarnation of the XJ6/12 models, and YES friends, it is much better than
the series II.
The engine feels very similar,
the three speed GM box is slightly lazier in tune, the body is more rigid,
and EVERYTHING WORKS!
For Jaglovers, this is simply
amazing. It is almost sinful to be able to enjoy all this pampering without
a worry..
Here are some photos:
But still... I miss you..
Anyway, the new blue car was sold to me by a properly
authorized dealer, and is maintained by one at a lot (A LOT) less cost
than my red beloved. Should anybody see good old rrdd44 let me know!
For those very interested in
the 1990 car: more pix are here: yes
