You walk inside, and after your eyes adjust to the darkness, you see the toothless locals sizing you up. The next thing you know, you're in the slammer with a busted nose. • Eagles Roost, Ortega Highway, Elsinore Located just east of Lookout on Ortega Highway, this very biker friendly place has blues and rack on the week-ends and fair food. Its new so it is still a bit slow but it will be a premier place to hang on a week-end.

The tavern used to be a stage coach stop in the late 1800's. Music and bikes permeate the place on Sunday's. Tri-tip sandwiches and cold beer, you won't be disapointed.

• Old Cayucos Tavern & Cardroom, Ocean Ave, Cayucos
  This bar is classic. It has been around since 1906 and they have LIQUOR IN THE FRONT AND POKER IN THE REAR! The bartenders are friendly and generous. Great selection on the juke too. The locals are very used to bikers and mesh well with them. In fact there are many biker locals in the bar at any given time. And one of my favorite things about this place is the buck fifty shot of Jack Danniels. Can't get enough of those before I scream out of town on my hog. Oh well. Maybe see you at the Tavern on some hot day and we will share a cold one. Directions: On the beach in Cayucos on Ocean ave 1/2 block So. of the old wooden pier. Cayucos is in San Luis Obispo county, Calif. 4 miles north of Morro Bay. I like to cut of the 101 and go down Old Creek road right in to Cayucos, then go north about 1 mile. • Rodger's Frontier Bar and Grill, West Colorado , Old Colorado City A great place to stop on for a cold one. Located in Old Colorado city Just west of colorado springs. A freindly atmosphere with one of the best damn buffalo burgers in the state.

• Silver Dollar Saloon, Main Street, Leadville This 150 year old former whore-house-poker-palace is a step back in time to when the bourbon was warm, the beer was hot and the women were cheap (guess some things never change). After a long trip along some of the best roads in the state this is a welcome site. This is a biker friendly bar in the middle of ore county. If you get hungry hoisting all those brews, it is a short stumble across the street to Wild Bills wild burgers. After an afternoon of toasting to the Irish lass behind the bar, jump back on the scoot and head for the Jackolope in Vail. Just don't get to plowed to navigate those mountian roads or the snow plow will scratch the chrome off your scooter about May when your icy grave starts to melt. Keep wind in your hair. Ride safe. Ride long.

• Little Bear, Evergreen, Colorado; about 30 minutes west of Denver. Watch out for flying shot glasses after 10:00 PM on Friday & Saturday nights.

• Mishawaka Inn, Colorado Highway 14, Near Fort Collins Cool little mountain bar, 30 minutes up the canyon. Live music, cold local brews, and a deck that sits right over the Cache la Poudre river.

• Cattlemens Inn, Clayton Street, Brush, CO 970-842-9944 This is located in the small town of Brush, CO, about 85 miles northeast of Denver on I-76. • Augustine Inn, Augustine Beach, Port Penn It ain't no fuckin beach bar. Great on a Sunday afternoon, but get there early cause it closes down when the bartender feels like it!

• Polly's Cafe, 1342 U Street, NW, Washington, DC In a town known mostly for slinging bullshit and nasty-ass brotherly hate, this is a place I always love to pull up at. Derek and CiCi run this little basement watering hole. They have good selection of bourbons and beer, as well as good road fever fare. The food is both regular bar fare that we like: burgers, fries and fresh made desserts to kill a hangover or the munchies, and tastes for more discerning pallets. Their daily specials always have excellent seafood, bought daily at the waterfront fish markets. The atmosphere here is one that a local neighborhood should have. You get the occasional shit-headed yuppie or civil servant, but for the most part its just mostly working stiffs looking to grab a few and shoot the shit with each other. Alot of people know each other just from bellying up to the bar. Bikes are always welcome here. Derrick rides an Italian machine but all the makes are represented here. About a quarter of the crowd comes in on American steel. Derrick puts on poker and pancake runs once every few months and these always attract varied bunches who all ride together within their kin. Its a great place to run into someone and bullshit about the ride that day without having to put on an air or get fed one.

• BROOKSVILLE STATION, Hwy 41- South of Town, Brooksville This place has just been bought by some very cool people. It has live music, great parking, cold beer, pool tables, video screens all over where they show videos of local bike events and such.

• Wills Honkytonk, south sarasota, Sarasota, Florida Great little watering hole with enough bras hangin over the bar to keep you busy for hours thinkin about the ones that got away.

• Rookie's Sports Bar & Grill, 1270 S. Highland Ave., Clearwater, FL

• Pirates Den, 300 Front St, Key West The islands finest adult showbar, with free secured parking and cover for riders always 365days a year.

• Handlebar Saloon, Hwy 92, Lakeland This is a new place and one of the nicest little places in the area! Brett, the owner, has put alot of heart into his place and is constantly improving it. Lots of Harley memorabilia, good people and very cold beer!

• B.J. GATORS, Shoal Line Blvd., Hernando Beach (Spring Hill) Great food, good atmosphere and the perhaps the planet's best bartender Nicole! Really nice ride out along the Gulf of Mexico. There are only four bars on "the beach" so it's not hard to find!!

• Shorties, 1513 N. SR 7 (441), Hollywood Across from Hollywood Honda, Shorties has been in business for 49 years. It's very biker friendly. A nice clean liquor bar with one heck of a good pool table 50¢ too! They also serve very good food and the lunch special are always good and inexpensive. Shorties is the place to go whenever you are in the area.

• The TRAP, 13690 NW 7 Ave, North Miami This IS the BEST Titty Bar in South Florida. Every good biker has to make their weekly pilgrimage to see Sky and the Trap girls. This is not your typical strip joint where the girls try to get ALL YOUR MONEY! Most of the girls have been there for many years and ride. It's a friendly place where you can sit and have a cold beer and not have to look over your shoulder unless it's to check out one of the naked girls walking around. There is great out front bike parking and a security guard is always outside to keep the riff-raff away from your bike.

• Foley's 4 Way, 3159 West Hallandale Bch Blvd., Pembroke Park This is the newest Biker Bar in South Florida. This is the place for late night fun and great music, oh yea... cheap beer & booze to boot! Only the best bands play Friday and Saturdays from 11PM to 3AM. Dave Hlubek, from Molly Hatchet, play there often. Just in Time, Mr. Twister and other South Florida greats jam for the biking crowd. Sundays is free pool tables and a BBQ. Wednesday is Ladies nite, Monday is Men's night and always $1 drafts!

• Bluefish Cafe, not sure of the street...down at the beach, Ft. Lauderdale, FL Great place...good scoot parking up and down the street....nearby tat and piercing shops...good drinks...great food...live music......bar is almost as much outside as in!!!!

• Dolphins Cove, SR 520 / E. Merritt Island Causeway, Merritt Island , Fl located on Merritt Island on State Road 520 , a nice little pub that caters to bikers has a waterside deck and good tunes on the Juke box Saturday night is Bike Night with drink specials and Hangover Sundays features Chili an Bloody Marys Tony is the owner and he loves a good party. Merritt island is east of Cocoa, Florida on the Intercoastal waterway theres great beaches and lots of good times within an hours ride stop by and check it out for a little vacation.

• The Bayport Inn, Hwy. 550 & Pine Island Drive, Spring Hill Right on the Gulf of Mexico. Very nice deck with lots of room. Deck area includes a sailboat that has been converted into a hot-tub! It gets pretty crazy in there sometimes! VERY biker friendly and sponsors two bike shows a year. Is home to the Freedom Chapter of ABATE of Florida and is usually the last stop for their poker runs. Excellant eats. On weekends they have a $5.00 all-u-can-eat killer BarBQ done by Hillbilly Mike. Nice people and beautiful ride out there too!

• Mousetrap Saloon Hwy 19 in Inglis Florida Biker Owned, biker operated, Mike & Tracy are great people and hold alot of benefits and poker runs. "Home of the Troll" Sent in by barbswire.

• Born To Ride Saloon, 14802 Nebraska Avenue, Tampa Recently opened Biker Bar. Sundays is Biker Party day every week. Vendors, food, drinks, bike show. • Softails, Gowers Corner - Rts. 41 & SR 52, Land O'Lakes Softails is a new biker bar, owned & operated by Nancy Wilson, whom also rides a Softail. On Sundays, there's a Bikers' Buffet, and she claims the biker's taste good. Wed. through Sun. you can find live entertainment, pool & dart tournaments. Soon there will be an outside beer garden. All motorcycles are welcome and so are the public. Food served until 11:00 pm. Great location. One mile south is the county jail & close by is the Sheriff's Ranch office, 3 miles to the west, is the local Highway Patrol, just to make sure you get home OK! So I guess you can say that this is in a safe neighborhood.

• Hawg Pen, north of Titusville, FL on US1 Home of Miss Piggy a 450lb. Porker that owners Jerry and Buzzy keep in a pen out back they got a decent juke box good people and cold beer no hassles man theres usually a party goin on inside and out a bar b q pit horseshoes blues bands and lots of Harleys its about 40min south of Daytona on US1 anice day ride for bike week or biketoberfest and y'all are welcome here

Don't look like a tourist. Knock back a few and cruise on over to the Iron Horse in Chicksha.

• Iron Horse Saloon, Hwy 39 E of Chickasha, Dibble, America This is your real biker bar. It's out in the sticks, but it gets to rockin'. Gary and his wife run the place. He is a biker and a damn good guitar player and singer. The house band is kick ass. Gary puts on a couple of free barbeques every year. Almost everyone that works in the place is a biker. Not many RUBs this far away from a car wash. It's a nice ride from Oklahoma City. (see Slaughtersville Bar for a route). Pull up on a hot day and enjoy the A/C and a cold brew.

• Motorcity, 303 NW 62nd, Oklahoma City, Ok 73118 Pull into the lot and stay to the right swing left and back in or you'll be a "newby". Nice outside deck, easy to look at your bike. Bitchin' jukebox, pooltable, darts, occasional band. Good food, friendly people.

• The Deli, Campus Corner, Norman The Deli is a Campus Cornor Institution. It is one of the last remainig venue for live music 7 nights a week. There is usually a few scooters out front especially on Fridays. Park on the street right in front of the door (easy to keep an eye on your scoot). They feature a free munchies bar on Friday afternoon happy hour, which also features $1.00 beers. The speciality of the house is the Flaming Deli (Only the bartender knows what octane of jet fuel is in that concoction). There is usually a jam session in the afternoons and on Sunday.

• General store, There are only 4 buildings in town..., Luckenbach, Texas 10 minutes north on hwy.281 out of Fredericksburg (just south of Austin). • Howdy's Hilltop Tavern, Ft. Duchesne, UT. It's on U.S. 40 in the Hilltop area & is the site of the annual Steel Pony Rodeo, a local bike event. Free camping out back, and bands on the weekends.Howdy makes everyone feel welcome. Pool,darts, and good people. This bar sent in by: Animal

Virginia

• Boston's Motorcycle Café, Port Royal, VA. On US 301, just north of the US 17 intersection. Parking spaces for motorcycles ONLY! (in front) Lot's of antique MC memorabilia, and Boston himself is somewhat of an antique.

• Payne's Biker Cafe on Route 15 in Leesburg, VA. Used to be a wild place, but has tamed down in the last 10 years. Cold beer and good scenery. Try it.

• The Moondance Saloon, Richmond, VA. On 17th Street in the Bottom. Every 2nd Sunday of the month, they host a breakfast called "Biker's In the Bottom". Bikers show at or around 10:00 a.m. and eat or just profile. Upwards to a hundred bikes will show and have a informal show and tell. Very friendly and respectable bunch. Afterwards some groups go for scenic rides. All very informal and friendly.....and always some hot rock or blues in the evening.

• The Arlington Grill, 1713 Wilson Blvd., Arlington Hooter bar, beers always cold. The folks are friendly, good sandwiches and live entertainment. Mondays are buck night. Good stop if you do Rolling Thunder, only 5 minutes from the Vets memorial

• Pierce Brothers Tavern, 8864 Richmond Road, Toano, VA 23618 (804) 566-0701 "It's Worth the Ride" is the motto of this most excellent watering hole. Horseshoe pits out back, great events, and some the best food around. Big Bill makes the greatest Killer Burritos, Huge Burgers, and giant Steak and Cheese Subs. Events include live Bluegrass and pulled pork bbq, Steaks and bike shows. All in all a place you do not want to miss.

• Hoss's Deli, 806 Old Oyster Point Rd., Newport News Covered bike parking out back! Go around the side to access. Great Juke Box, pool tables, and Sub sandwiches. Always bikes when the weather is nice. Dollar draft and dollar buds when the stockers are running.

• Yorktown Pub, Water Street, Yorktown Just about under the York River bridge. Great view of the York River. Best crabcake sandwiches around. Always a few bikes out front and good conversation inside. Live music on the weekends Steve James and the Bystanders are the local favorites.
