THE CONCEPT BEHIND Chevelles On Screen

My dad once owned a 1969 Chevelle for 4 years.  I was denied the chance of becoming a second-generation Chevelle owner, and when I grew up, this memory was faded forever.  Back in 1992, when I still drove a Disco-Era Nova, I saw a green 1968 Chevelle hardtop (with 1969 doors) parked at a mechanic's garage (RMS Auto Care, Westheimer @ Woodhead, Houston, Texas), and wished that I wanted to have a muscle era Chevelle in my car collection.  This was 1992.

Muscle-era GM A-bodies are now glass ceiling commodity, and have authored Chevelles on Screen, the 1972 GMC Sprint page, and the A-Car Online Interchange Manual.  I might be the subject of a lot of controversy, since I am (1) the descendant of a former Chevelle owner, and (2) the author of a webpage that has a lot in common with GM A-body parts interchange.  Some might say that I DON'T GET NO RESPECT, and some would perceive this as a controversial issue because I do not own a GM A-car of 1964-72 vintage.  Why have a non-A-car owner designing classic A-car websites?

Seeing old TV shows and classic movies often reflect a time that is immortalized on screen forever, since most of the Hollywood props used are either rusting away, destroyed, or auctioned off.  I am talking about the virtual-less reality here, which is defined as realism, or the REAL reality.

Ever since the creation of the 1969 Chevelle Memorial page, I often look back at a childhood that was denied to me, and was robbed of an opportunity of becoming a second-generation A-car owner.  Ending up in poverty and being a second-class white (the generic term for an Asian American) is what I went through, and to other Thai-Americans (this is my true nationality), ostracised.

Every time I go into the local Pick-A-Part and see a vintage A-car of 1964-72 decaying on the jackstands, this often would bring tears, but if I had the financial backing to operate an A-car yard and resto facility, then I would be the savior, a Robin Hood to the auto restoration world.  Right now, I don't have the financial backing, since (1) I am ostracised from my parents, and (2) a high risk for a bank loan.  Click here to see the spy pics.

I have contributed a lot of hours in designing several classic A-car online publications, but not everyone has a first impression on who's behind the web publications.  One thing that I have not received is hate mail, and often read the guestbook comments.  I have received a lot of positive feedback, even for my other web publication, the Hawaii Five-O Carpage.

I might be a webpage author/publisher, but often referred to as the unpaid web author.  I'm no Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods, but a human being like everyone else.
