Fishing with Gary
Well it is the 10th of
April today and My son and his Friend Duston and I went out crappie fishing
in my boat for the first time this year. We went to Midway lake and tried
about four places and did not catch hardly anything. I think we had four
crappies in the last place we went. I decided we better try one more place
before we put it on the trailer. We went up stream and got into my lucky
hole. I caught one on my first try. Then My son Cody caught one and from
then on we caught them pretty regular. We brought home 27 crappie. The
biggest was 14 oz. and the smallest was a little over 10 oz. We put the
boat on the trailer at 6:30 pm because I had some work to do. We are hopping
to get out again the first of the week if the darn Nebraska wind ever goes
down. I will have some pictures of our fish in a couple of days to put
on this page.
Well here it is the 26th of May and the fish have
been slow. We went and camped out at Medicine Creek over Memorial weekend
and didn't catch crap. Just small white bass. We came home on Monday and
went to Midway on Tuesday and caught the fish in the picture below. There
were 11 crappie and they weighed 10 lbs total. They were very nice fish.
The picture looks bad due to the age of the film.
PS: You should
not drink while boating. You may hit a white cap and
spill it!
