1989 Cutlass Supreme

This is my 1989 Cutlass Supreme, picked it up last November, finally got pics scanned. It is an early model 89 with the 2.8 V6, they changed to 3.1s later in the model year. It has the standard 14" hubcaps, manual windows, locks, seats, everything except antenna which doesn't work at the moment. I have yet to really modify it much, I did add a Sony stereo system, CD player and new rear deck speakers, but that's about it performance wise. Future plans include removal of the catalytic converter, dual pipes coming out the rear, a cone style air filter, clear headlight covers painted Medium Sapphire Blue, and possibly some larger 16" rims.

Pretty basic car, but I really like it. I am also seriously thinking about tinting the rear windows, it looks nice

with the blacked-out B and C pillars.

We had to paint the hood again, seems Olds had trouble with the primer, paint flaked off, and the prior owner

just bought the correct color and brushed it on, 8 hours of sanding with 60 grit to get it all off. Fun. I haven't put

the Olds emblem or script back on the hood, becuase they were previously either painted or damaged, plus it

looks better without them.

I've noticed that my Cutlass sits way higher up in the back than my dad's 92 Lumina Euro, I think the Cutlasses

just plain nicer cars, better thought out, even though they are based on the same platform. Well, more pics coming

soon, check back often to see if I follow through with any of my planned mods, you will hear it here first.
