Hi Gustav, Have noticed your name on the list but never had occasion to contact you. I'm in central Pennsylvania, U.S.A. My Capri has always been in the family since new and has less than 40K on it. Its difficult to really pick out my favorite car as I have had many during my life and most were from the UK and Europe. I've had an MD-TD (probably my favotite as it was my first, a Hillman, 2 VW's (1600 & microbus), 2 FIAT's (600 & 850 sport coupe), a R nault 5, Peugeot 405 sportwagon, Volvo 240, a Hillman Avenger (bad car) and a couple of US vehicles. So you see, I'm versed in to us, foreign cars. Also, for your information, I'm the other Doug Wilson on the list. Nice website. Cheers

Du har byggt en fin capri, grattis! jag har en capri också, mk1 -69, med 1,6 OHC (pinto), och den borde bli körfärdig nu före nyår. Den är byggt av alla överloppsdelar som jag hade runt garage och har inte kostat många mark (jag är från finland). Motor är annors original, men med turbo från transit 2,5 TD, hemmagjort laddluftskylare och en 2-portsweber. Annors är bilen ganska original = rostig, bucklig och ful.

Wow! I had no idea Capris were so popular! I was just trying to find out what all the stock colors were in 1980, as I'm thinking about a new paint job. I have an American-built, 4.8 liter V-8. There aren't very many of these in the U.S. It's just been ebuilt, and will have a 4-barrel carboretor and air ram added when done. This is my second Capri. I got a 1970 German-built (my first car, in 1973). But it died horribly, thanks to a blonde in a purple Gremlin, curse her forever! But really, I thought I was the only person on the planet who loves this car. Now I'm convinced that fully restoring it is the only proper homage. Thanks, Stu!

Hello Swedish Caprifans Its nice to know that all types of Capri in Sweden as popular as in Germany.I've got to drive in summer a MK 3 2,0S and to be equipped in future MK2 JPS (75th 2,3 V6 -if you knopw somebody who is searching to this special type,tell me,please) and MK1 GT.For me it's maybe 10th or 11th Capri I owened.My everyday car is an escort MK2 Kentmotrized ,it isn't fast as a V6 engine but backpowered as well as Capri is.Andvyou know in the 70's some guys like Ari Vatanen, Hannu Mikula,Stig Blomquist like it very much and so do I. Nice Car! I am currently on my fifth Capri - One Mark one, one mark one facelift, Two 2 litre "s"'s ans a bog standard Mk3 GL 1.6. The current one is a 2.0"S" in Glacier blue, completely standard apart from a Quickshift. At tge moment it's off the road - use a Carlton Estate "everyday" but perhaps I'll get it back on the road for the summer. Happy motoring! Clive.

Jeg skriver til dig på dansk, da jeg næsten kan regne ud at du er svensk. Jeg tror at jeg efterhånden har besøgt alle de sites hvor der er noget med ford capri på, og din side er jo sjov at læse på, fordi der står så meget omkring det sjoveste ved en capr nemlig motortuning. Jeg er selv igang med at renovere en 2.8 v6 motor til min egen, men desværre har jeg haft lidt problemer med at skaffe en del af de nye stumper til motoren, bla. knastakslen og knastfølgere den gamle knast var fuldstændigt slidt rund på de fleste af knas erne, men jeg har været heldig at finde en helt ny knast med knastfælgere til for ca 1500 dkkr, jeg har købt en standart knast fordi jeg syntes det var for dyrt at skifte alle ventilfjedre hvis man skulle lægge en sportsknast i. Iøjeblikket er jeg ved at rdne stemplerne så de er parate til de nye ringe, det er ikke særligt nemt når det er de originale stempler fra 78 men det går de blir næsten som nye (de er et par hundrede dele under mål men hvad det går jo nok alligevel). Krumtappen ligger en 100 del un er mål på alle 4 hovedlejer standart 57 mm rent mine er 56.99. Sølerne til plejestangslejer er en 100 del under mål på de 3 og 200 dele under på de andre 3 og eller fine og glatte uden nogen nævneværdige ridser. Hvis jeg havde haft råd til det så var det en scorpio 2.8i ell. en 2.9i motor der skulle have været ned i mit motorrum men du kender sikkert alt til danske told og skat 180 % i afgift til staten så der er ikke særligt mange scorpiorer i dk som man kan køb dele fra. My next project is to build a 4x4 intercooled supercharged V8 from xr4x4 parts and a ford mustang SOHC V8 with an Allen twisted blade supercharger. I have a 1970 Ford Capri, with a 2.0 Litre Cortina Motor. These are the capri's that came out from England. I'm from Australia, and the capri's here only came out with the 1.6 and 3.0 Litre motors. I bought my capri two years ago from some one for only $300.00, and have so far spent $15000.00 restoring the car, although it is not finished yet.
