MB presented its new Race Truck - although based on the chassis of the Actros series the cabin is from
the new Atego series. No name has been defined yet so so far it's simply called Race Truck. The photo

Like all MB race trucks since 1992 this one built by Mercedes´ subsidiary LARAG in the East Swiss canton St. Gallen.
It has has some technical solutions new to race trucks: Countersunk wheel nuts to widen the track within the 2,50 m limit and to prevent damage at wheel-to-wheel fights as well as floating brake discs.
The suspension of the front axle can be pre-adjusted from very weak to very hard within four seconds and the driver can choose from the levels whilst racing.
