You guys really make the international churches of Christ sound bad... Im 21 and have been baptised in the church ( In Christ )since Nov.20 of 1997. You see its not about the church. Its about your own walk with God, a personal relationship... But,if it wasn't for the church i would not have found it... Before i did the studies i knew nothing of God, or Jesus spiritualy, just intellectualy. And to tell you the truth not even to much of that... Yet,i was constantly being told that i was saved... All they used to do was tell me to accept and believe Jesus Christ to be my personal savior and he would come in my heart and i would be saved... And thats it, they told me Nothing else. You see the International Churches of Christ pick up where the others left off... They showed me through scripture the other half, of the 50%....OBEDIENCE.... Faith without Works is dead... Believing is just not enough, you must hold firm to his teachings---(1 Corinthians 15:2 I knew nothing of this before and i went to all different kinds of Christian churches... My Aunty and her husband were even Ministers. But once again its not about the church, rather your own personal walk with God... And if anybody who left the church, or is even still in it, didnt realize this, they never got the point.... You must worship God and God alone, not the Church!!! AND IF THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL AN OCCULT, THEN I WOULD RATHER BE IN THIS ONE THAN THE ONE OF RELIGIOSITY OUTSIDE OF IT... WHERE PEOPLE CONFESS JESUS IS LORD WITH THEIR MOUTHS, BUT DO NOT WITH THEIR ACTIONS...

Well, first, I've been to a lot of churches that preached obedience to God, not just the ICC. Only they generally didn't try to convince me that when I failed to obey God, it meant I wasn't a Christian. And it seems like he's got "cult" confused with "occult". Occult deals with magic, astrology, demons, and the like. Of all the things I've seen the ICC accused of, that isn't one of them.

so what your saying is that the church in the bible is a cult ??? I've noticed that the icoc is just like the first century church take a look for yourself, open your bible
