Biriyani/Pulao or meat dishes are in perfect harmony with a bowl of cold raita.
There are many variations of the raita and the most basic recipe is given below.
Be more creative and lace it with spices, herbs and greens if you may. Your
creation will truly stand out on the table, for who does not love a bowl of
exotically seasoned curd?

Ingredients
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped tomato
1/2 cup chopped cucumber
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
2 cups thick curds(yoghurt)
Salt to taste

Method
Mix together all the above ingredients in a large bowl and
chill.
Prepare about 1/2 an hour before serving.
