Payatham Paruppu Payasam
                                            (payathamparuppu=green gram)

Ingredients : Green gram(3/4 cups), Jaggery(1 cup),  cardamom(4-5 pods), cashew nuts(10-12),  milk(1 cup),  water(2 cups), ghee(1 tsp).

Cook the green gram in the water.
Once it is cooked,  add jaggery to the mixture.
Let it dissolve.
Roast cashews in ghee and add to the mixture.
Remove from flame and add the milk.
Mix well.

This is a very nutritious drink and is taken with breakfast sometimes like a porridge.
