Maida Cake

Ingredients: Maida/All purpose flour(1 cup), sugar(1 1/4 cups), ghee(8 spoons), vanilla essence(3 drops or saffron(1 pinch), milk powder(1 tblspn).

In a non-stick pan,  fry the maid in 4 tsp of ghee.
When it starts turning golden brown,  take it off the stove.
Let it cool.
Once it cools down,  add the milk powder.
In the meantime,  make a sugar syrup with 1/4 cup water.
The syrup should become sticky and should get a thread-like consistency when you drop it back into the vessel.
Take the syrup off the stove.
Add the roasted maida, the rest of the ghee, essence/saffron and stir well.
In about 5-6 minutes, you will get the cake consistency.
Pour it onto a greased plate and cut into small squares.
(plate to be greased preferrably with ghee).
