This
style is not as creamy as the one made with a cheese white sauce but it
is very much cheesier.
SOUTHERN
MACARONI AND CHEESE
1
lb. Elbow macaroni
1/4
lb. Butter
3-4cups
shredded cheddar (to taste)
3
eggs - whip with fork
1
1/2 cups Carnation milk
Salt
and pepper (to taste)
Paprika
METHOD
1.
Cook macaroni until almost done. Drain.
2.
To macaroni, add milk, beaten eggs, cheese, butter, salt and pepper. Stir
well.
3.
Pour mixture into greased casserole dish.
4.
Sprinkle paprika on top.<
5.
Bake at 350 uncovered for 1 hour or until done.
