This is one of my own creations! It is great for special dinners.

TRIPLE CHOCOLATE TORTE

1 Cooked chocolate 2 layer cake (homemade or from a box)

2 cups Chocolate pudding (1 box)

1 lg. Container of Cool Whip

1-2 Tbsp of Cocoa

(Optional) For festive look: 1/2 6oz. Pak of Chocolate chips

METHOD

1. Melt chocolate chips in microwave until melted or in double boiler on top of stove. Spread with spatula on waxed paper in thin layer. Place in freezer 10 min.

2. Slice two cake layers in half horizontally. HINT*(If necessary use toothpicks inserted halfway around the layer as a guide.)You now have 4 layers.

3. Place bottom layer on cake dish. Spread each layer with pudding.

4. Mix Cool whip with cocoa with spoon until well mixed (no lumps), spread on top and sides of torte.

5. Take melted chocolate out of freezer, and with knife, peel off wax paper into pieces of shingles or slivers. It doesn't matter just have large and small pieces.

6. Decorate top and sides of torte with these pieces of cold chocolate. Stand as many up as possible until it looks like an igloo or whatever. Allow your creativity to soar!

Our guests always remark: "What is it?" "It's very refreshing and light" "Not too sweet." and "May I have the recipe?"
