Cakes & Cookies In Jars

This page has great recipes for creating dry layered cookie mixes and cakes baked in canning jars. If you've never seen this technique, I know you'll love it. Jazz up jars with ribbons or by hotgluing goodies to the top. On my cookies in jars I make cut out dough ornaments and hot glue them to the lid along with ribbon. The cinnamon spice cookie ornaments recipe I use is included here. If you need tips or information, check out the tutorial below. Use wide mouth quart mason jars, as they are the easiest to pack.
