Toys for Tots draws one small miracle by the name of Bryan White

By: Shannon Bollen

Every year, KSSN, a radio station in Arkansas, hosts Toys for Tots, an event to gather toys for kids who are unable to have a christmas-and Bryan White was there to show his support. "My friend and I got in line, and found out Bryan could only stay for an hour because he had to fly to another state for a concert. My heart sank because I was pretty far back in line and knew there was no way he was going to meet all of us before he had to leave, but I didn't leave the line because I did not want to give up hope. A few minutes went by and it was about 5:45 pm. I knew then I was not going to meet him. I really can't tell you what that felt like, but it didn't feel good.

"One of the KSSN DJ'S came out on stage and waved to us to get people in line and come to where he was standing. We were afraid to move because of losing our place. Finally, we went to where he was, and he told us Bryan was going to come out on stage and talk to us for a few minutes before he had to leave. I had a picture of Bryan that I had drawn of him and I wanted to get him to autograph it for me. When I realized I was not going to get to meet him, I gave it to the DJ with a letter and asked him to give them to Bryan. He assured me that he would.

The next few minutes went by too fast!! Bryan came out on stage looking GOOD!!!! He was wearing a black shirt with a white t-shirt under it; faded blue jeans, and a black duster. I was standing about six feet away, and took as many pictures as I could before he left. Then he was gone, just like that! Before he left, I saw the DJ give Bryan my stuff, which made me feel a little better....

"In the end, even though I did not get to meet Bry, I still had a great time-it was a blast!!! I am not going to give up hope that I will meet Bryan someday. I will! You can count on that! By the way, the pics I took of Bryan turned out great!!! Thank goodness!!

I did get to meet Bryan, and I am working on a page for the Meet and Greet story. I hope to have it up soon!!
